Rock is totally the wrong choice for WrestleMania because of his weird habit of elicting the exact opposite crowd response that the WWE wants. If they have him in against Orton as a heel he'll get face pops and if they have him in as a face he'll get heel heat.

Cole is definetly public enemy #1 when it comes to this shit. I knew the second I was watching Angle/Benoit at Royal Rumble 2003 that Angle would be going over because at the start of the match Cole says "Chris Benoit has Kurt Angle's number". He also needs to cut out the following......... - Using the phrase "vintage" about 2000 times in the same match to describe any and every move a wrestler does. - Saying "And (random heel) is gonna steal the damn match!" - "And it's all over!"

Phil is such a bitch. I mean, come on, crying over a midget? That's like crying over a fucking wrestling match or somethig.

So, if the fans don't like it, how should they respond? Because it seems to me that the phrase "damned if you, damned if you don't" applies here. If the fans were silent people would be taking this same route. If they chanted "boring" people would call them disrespectful. The fans obviously did their job of showing that they didn't give two fucks about that match if so many people are getting sand in their vaginas about it.

An Edge heel turn would work out very well during a 5 Man at Survivor Series but there's no way they can hold out that long. My picks for the SS match: Orton/Benoit/Jericho/Benjamin/Michaels vs HHH/Batista/Flair/Edge/Kane.

Predictable swerve but the execution and subsequent beatdown were awesome. Ortons reaction after the thumbs down was classic. I'm kinda dissapointed as I was hoping that Batista would be the one to break way from Evolution and turn face but this works just as well. Starting off the show w/ Tajiri and Rhyno taking out La Res for the titles would be a smart idea. The crowds have been getting behind Rhyjiri for the past month or so now and it would keep them hot for the rest of the night. That is, until the Diva's come out and deflate the whole crowd. If we get a Benoit/Orton rematch tonight I expect an Edge heel turn. Poor Benoit. I'd enjoy an E and C reunion but only if they're treated like serious characters. And no Tomko. Give A-Train his spot instead. It could work by having Trish say that she called up an old friend or something. Then you send Tomko back to OVW (or just kill him or something, whatever works.)

I agree, Dids. They really fucked the Eugene program up when the abandoned his Rain Man-esque wrestling ability's and focused on his "special abilities". I sure as hell expected a lot more wrestling in his match against HHH last night.

Anybody in this thread bitching about the "disrespect" that the Canadian crowd can take a moment to realize and count the innumerable amount of times that Canada has been screwed in one fashion or another by WWE. They never treat us like Americans because they believe us to be lower then Americans. We know this. Last night we showed Vince that we know this.

I was at Mania 18 and one of the biggest pops of the night was when Taker lifted Flair up for the tombstone.

How people on this board actually expected Eugene to be cheered consistently is beyond me. Outside the ring is one thing but inside those ropes his act grows stale in 5 minutes.

Me and Rudo might do a review of the show (MUGASlam is a working title) but here's some quick thoughts, DEAN-style........ WHAT WORKED - London was on fire tonight. His leap/stomp over D'Von was choice as was his sommersault plancha. It really sucked that the Dudleyz went over because the crowd was getting hot just as the match was cut. - Matt's tornado ddt on Kane was just dirty. - "Lita is a Dumas" - Matt dying on the top rope chokeslam. - Edge getting booed was fun. Not enough DAVE for my liking. Jericho took that spear like a man. - Angle/Eddy was swank, Angle looked boss in the match and the matwork and eventual ankle build were very well done. - Toronto hates Eugene because we like good wrestling. Sue us. - MUGATaker. My other reasons for the match already posted. - Somebody needs to tell Benoit that the human neck isn't like the kidneys. If you lose one you can't run on another. Good match, seemed kinda short but still hella solid. Ortons gutwrench neckbreaker was ace. WHAT DIDNT - I cannot care about Spike Dudley. Cannot. Minimal heat and a weak offense do not a credible heel make. When Billy Kidman is showing more charisma then you, there is problems. - Man........Cena and Booker better hope that the next 4 crowd are forgiving because that match was ass. - So Dodgeball was punishment for us cheering Hogan, right? (Sidenote: Joy has a BOOT). - Pretty much all of HHH/Eugene.

The crowd was just full of assholes. The UT/Bradshaw match was fine. It was more then fine, it was fucking great. - Sweet punches - Bradshaw kicking Taker right in the fucking head - Taker throws a stiff-ass lariat. Bradshaw responds with an even stiffer one. - Bradshaw kicking out of the Last Ride - Taker's rolling leg lock - Taker's pseudo-triangle choke (Rudo will correct me on this one) - JBL's bumping - Taker's head and arm downward spiral looks like it could bruck up a neck or two - The double boot spot

Don't count out an attempt at an Edge heel turn. Remember, WWE philosophy is "Well, the crowd in his hometown loves him so they'll hate him if we turn him heel." Because it worked WONDERS for Benoit in Edmonton.

I have no fucking idea why I'm typing this up. Wait, I do. It's because I'm at work and don't want to do work. World Heavyweight "Championship" Match, Chris Benoit vs Randy Orton Poor Benoit. Poor poor Benoit. If he jobs tonight it will be one of the most singularly obvious burials since Chris Jericho. He was an afterthought on RAW and the last time we saw him he was getting pedigreed to the mat. The match itself I think has the potential to be damn good, possibly **** if Orton has his working boots on (Benoits are permanently glued to his feet). Of course, Benoit could easily go over because the WWE has really no other way to send the crowd home happy (unless Taker goes over in the ME). Should win: Benoit Will win: Still undecided. WWE Championship, JBL vs Undertaker This match could surprise people. Taker hasn't been offensive in a while and JBL is a heat machine, especially in Canada. Both are MMA fans so I expect a few stolen spots plus neither is afraid of working snug. Of course, this match could also involve John Heindreich so it also has the potential to blow ass. Should win: JBL Will win: JBL Eddy Guerrero vs Kurt Angle This is the match I'm most looking forward to on the card (that's assuming I order the show). Their Mania match was good but it was lacking something that made it special. They gave the submissions too much attention which I felt took away from the match. This match, if worked properly, could be awesome. Eddy isn't at 100% and neither is Angle but both of them will probably end up going balls out regardless. Should win: Angle Will win: Angle HHH vs Eugene Whateverthefuckever. Should win: HHH, because in the end, Eugene is still a retard. Will win: The retard. WWE United States Championship match that's not for the United States Championship, John Cena vs Booker T File this match under "W" for "Why?". Giving Cena the title at SummerSlam makes sense so I guess that's why it isn't happening here. Should win:Cena Will win: Cena Triple Threat Match for the IC Title, Chris Jericho vs DAVE vs Edge I'm giddy at the thought of DAVE potentially out-popping the two Canadians but then I realize that Canadians are fiercely loyal to their hometown boys, even though Jericho is faux-Canuck. DAVE will make for a good x-factor in this match and could be used to tell a good story if he goes over (Jericho and Edge are too focused on each other, allowing DAVE to sneak in and take the match). Should win: DAVE Will win: Edge. 6 Man Tag, Team Tiny vs The Dudleyz Will probably be fun for what it is, which will be about 5 minutes of spots. Should and will win: Team Tiny Kane vs Matt Hardy This is a joke, right? Winner: Nobody Loser: The fans, for having to sit through this angle.
