Punk has shit going on with 4 different people now. What's Chavo's motivation? Punk was friends with Eddie as well, so Chavo hates him! I'm fine with the MVP finish since it would suggest they'd have a rematch with Punk getting the better of MVP but Chavo coming out and laying Punk to waste was a huge stretch. It's one thing with Henry and BDV, but Chavo?

Punk needs to grow? He's a 9 year veteran. He just doesn't get the opportunity to do what he can because of the WWE style, which he's really picked up very well. He's had to forget more things then most WWE developmentals ever learn. However, these could/should be main event acts in the future. Chavo? Oh, for crying out loud. If it means BDV/Henry is done, then yay.

I get a kick out of MVP using the "I'm Better Then You" line on Punk.

I'm greatly amused by Nunzio's gimmick of wearing costumes every time he wrestles.

They have been using complete jobbers for awhile. Why have Benjamin take out Balls or Dreamer when you can get the same point across with a non-contracted jobber who'll take all those bumps to get more spots like this in the future. Why make Balls look like a nobody. Benjamin can beat Balls later and it'd be more effective then it would have been tonight. A guy like Balls or Dreamer would give Benjamin a better match, thus giving Shelton more shine.

I can't imagine a greater contrast then these two people.

These two are good for fun tv matches.

I think it's more likely they move Tazz to SD again for good and get someone lower on the tier to pair off with Styles. -

WWE is at the mercy of Bonnie Hammer, whom probably requests that Jericho stay on Raw and has seemingly campaigned for Batista. I suppose they could make Smackdown the home for Flair's retirement tour but that's another big ticket attraction that Raw must have. I know Shawn has his commitments to his church but there's no reason for him to languish on Raw now that he's feuded with EVERYONE on that roster. Move Shawn to SD gives him new stuff to do. At the very least, move Lashley for Batista. -
Despite being a confessed Punk mark, I wouldn't object to Hardy getting a run with the ECW title. I was pushing that idea in the summer when Jeff really got hot. What will they do with the IC title during the Orton build? Leave with Jeff and give him something for post-rumble or have Orton cheat him out of the title to someone like Kennedy/Carlito?
-
I figured he had a good talking to after that match with Shawn a few weeks ago.
-
The problem with Batista facing Orton is that HHH is left in the dark. I was willing to accept the possibility of Flair-HHH but that's being done for the next Raw after the Iraq special. Sure, names like Lashley are still probable but it's a step down. I wouldn't be against a triple threat even though I'm not a fan of them.

Jericho can't fight promo wars with JBL.

I met her backstage at a charity show a few months ago. She was nice girl.

I chuckled at your write out edit. Adorable. Are you 80% sure it's yours?

Not in my mind. He'd be a probable candidate for Punk to feud over the title on ECW. Umaga will be an interesting thing to look at in the future. By all means, he shouldn't have much shelf life since he's beaten down all the time but he's still talented enough to make the fans think he's always a deadly threat.

It's been average. While there have been a few bright spots, it's been far too muddled with lackluster efforts. It wasn't 2002 bad but it wasn't special. Ultimately, this year will be forgetable other then Benoit and the sterioid busts, with possible exception to the fact this was the year Punk and MVP broke out and down the road might be the start of two future stars for this company.
-
He's a heel and he gave himself a pompous self-serving nickname when he held the title for 10 months.
-
Is this WWE only or across the board?
-
Benjamin is horrid on the mic, that's why he's never getting past the IC title ceiling. Hardy-Umaga had a ton of 10-20 minute matches this year, most were pretty good.
-
Title Vs Streak, is a overdone concept anyways. It was the big focal point of last year's match and while the streak wasn't as pronounced at the time, it was the same at WM13. This just means UT will be barred from getting a title shot by Vickie and UT has to win the rumble/EC match. The same story that WWE has done for the past 12 years (Luger, Austin, Benoit, Lesnar and others I can't remember right now). They need to do something fresh with UT being the champion and the heel chasing the title. Edge has nothing to lose and everything to gain while UT puts the two things he cares the most about on the line.

Vicki was named the new GM when Long was out. Long returned but Vickie was still named the acting GM. Thus, Long is the assistant GM.

NYG dropped me to a loss today.

What? Survivor Series was much better then tonight. You had three heels with bullshit finishes (MVP gets counted out, Orton beats Jericho by DQ, and Edge pulls a double Windham on 'Taker). The biggest upside was a very good Hunter-Hardy match, a good finish to the ECW tag match and Finlay went over. There is hope in Jericho as the crowd was buying into the thought of Jericho winning the match, which is good. Hardy looked credible and Hunter doesn't lose anything. However, the matches themselves were flat outside of the Hardy match and the closing minutes of the WWE title match.
