What do you think that Benoit match was for?
-
Cade looks like a 3rd rate BJ Whitmer. That's saying alot.
-
That was nice of Cade and Murdoch to let DX do their routine before this brutal hate filled street fight.
-
Nice booking move by DX. Put themselves right at the 9:00 spot to catch the fans who forgot the time change.

Historically speaking, the world champions tend to have better success over undercard champions anyways. It's a proper thing to do in seperating the dominance and status of the championship. In this instance, TBS should be killing Hardy anyways. Fans can't buy TBS as a legitimate monster heel champion if he struggles to beat Jeff. It isn't 2002 where TBS was essentially a mid-card act. TBS is being put on a high level. Jeff's nature is to be high risk and that's exactly how the match played out. It put over both workers and more importantly, the ECW Title.
-
TBS knocked Hardy's hanky off, Hardy's PISSED.
-
As long as they keep planting the HHH/Edge WM seeds because Edge will throw it back at HHH. DX, Cena and Edge are only ones really given free range with their comments.
-
He's a wrestling fan, coaches for South Carolina and there in Carolina...and the seats were comped. That, and he loves hearing a crowd cheer for him.
-
WWE struggles to write a show per week for each respective brand, they would have tremendous problems stretching it to three shows per week with the brand split ending. The split is here to stay and under the current structure of the company, it's the only direction to take.
-
Oddly enough, that segment worked. It put over all three champions, TBS came off as a great heel, Booker did his thing and Cena had the crowd going nuts for him.
-
What ECW crowd? Aside from two shows since the rebirth of ECW, it's been regular WWE crowds. Besides, ECW had big monsters in their heyday as well. Umaga, as the ass-kicking machine would have gotten over big time with Heyman's touch.

HBK. Eddie Guerrero Tribute Show. I'm only curious to see how they set up the Cyber Sunday triple threat with TBS/Booker/Cena.

It really depends on the wardrobe and the hair at the moment. Usually, Ashley has that exact same hair style as the Kelly picture does.
-
Aside from Colorado, LA, Milwaukee and Washington/Montreal, every NL team has reached at least the NLCS since 1990. That's pretty amazing.
-
Yes. Houston was the WC.
-
St. Louis has supplanted Atlanta for post season futility. If you look closer in the last 15 full seasons, the NLCS has had 12 different teams . The ALCS had 11 teams. Despite the fact NYY, Atlanta and St. Louis were there for almost every year, they still had a larger total then I would have expected.

Indy comments which don't warrant a thread
Hawk 34 replied to Ravenbomb's topic in General Wrestling
I've been saying it's just a ploy to put Rave with the KOW. Rave needs to be "led" and without Nana, he's lost. Daizee left him and Sal isn't his bitch anymore. -
Because RVD & Show are the only 2 ECW guys worth returning to Raw for the night. Who else would you use? Heyman and Sabu.
-
The least they can do is make it look pretty. Make a "2006 ALCS CHAMPIONS" printing onto the tarp. No, it's just plain stupid. No wonder this team can't afford players, they waste money making opportunities like this.
-
There didn't seem to be much backstage stuff as usual, which is a plus. Rey's surgery isn't until 2 weeks. They still got 3 more shows to do it. Hardy is a former CW champion and is within the weight limit of 225 (it isn't a height deal).
-
Okay, Chavo doesn't fit in with that picture.
-
Remember what I said yesterday about celebrations that result in a team standing in a circle awkwardly high-fiving each other and random "WHOO!"s? St. Louis is an example of that. I know it's routine for St. Louis to reach the NLCS but it's like they have that routine rehearsed. Show a little creativity and passion.

Punk's been begging for competition, not about being undefeated. He's gone on record of saying he is tired of the jobbers and wants the big names. He's been humble but is putting over his desire to fight the best. It's Tazz and Cole, putting over the undefeated aspect. While I prefer Punk as a heel, ECW needs a new babyface and Punk's getting there with the crowds. As far as the Knox/Punk feud, it'll be probably be extended in the untaped strip poker segments, as Kelly is involved there.
-
I didn't buy the show either and Benoit/Regal isn't worth $40 bucks anyways. It's still a nice bonus to fill up time and give the fans something good.
-
This is basically a thank you present for those who brought the show despite nothing seemingly worth getting.
