Indy comments which don't warrant a thread
Hawk 34 replied to Ravenbomb's topic in General Wrestling
Since this has become "ROH comments which don't warrant a thread", here's some news on ROH including another dropped market, Joe's injury status and more -
Just why was Regal even in the position to be, um, exposed?
-
Once again, the Powder Blue is the best uniform in the NFL. If not, in all of sports.
-
Even Parcells was sick of Bledsoe when Bledsoe was crying excuses and Parcells basically brushed it off. Romo isn't the answer either but you have no choice when Bledsoe was the absolute drizzling shits. Whatever goodwill he gained after the JAX game is completely gone.
-
Yes. While he isn't Khali bad, he's just not good.
-
The problem with MVP as a manager is that he just isn't good on the mic either, and he's horrid in the ring. It's no wonder they'll be putting him with Benoit out of the gate in hopes of covering it. It's really strange cause there's probably countless better people in OVW/DSW much less the indies that this gimmick would suit and they slapped with one of the worse wrestlers and blandest personalities around.
-
Mo-ti-vation. Didn't he do the same act with Culpepper?
-
Hey, Fox. WAS/NYG has been over for awhile now, switch to DET/MIN or TB/NO.

Basically, everything but Heroes, Jericho, and Ugly Betty is a bomb or a disapointment. I'm happy that Runaway will be shifted to Sundays, as it conflicted with Heroes/MNF/Raw for me. I hope NBC is more patient with FNL.
-
Man, Smith was one of the better new shows. Poor Kidnapped, but why is NBC even bothering plugging in those final 9 episodes? Not like it had much of a fanbase they would be worried about pissing off. Exactly what new shows ARE doing well?
-
It's been said before but it will need to be said once again, Cashman isn't to blame. It's all on George. Not Torre or Cashman.

Czech's right. Chicago is a pretty big market, unlike Seattle and has actual history that even the most casual viewer knows. Unlike Seattle, Chicago has a superstar people actually know in Urlacher. Chicago has a insane defense and once the machine really gets rolling in December, they're likely to capitalize on the retro popularity of DA BEARS. Baltimore would just be the 2006 version of the New England Patriots in that it doesn't really matter who plays. Ratings aren't going to free-fall because it'll be close and you have a popular franchise that'll keep people involved.

Yeah, but my victory was more Buster Douglas over Scarlet's Mike Tyson. I not only won but bounced him like a ball. It's really not fair to either of us. It's like Temple beating Ohio State. No one really buys my victory as a legitimate one and it just hurts the other guy.

Why do I have to watch two NFC West games and a Browns game? It's not fair.

M-Dogg was insanely over with the crowd and Gowen got a respectable reaction. -
In fact, Basketball is probably the only major sport where chemistry between players is a issue and even with good talent, you can overcome the lack of chemistry (see the LA Lakers dynasty of Shaq and Kobe). So in short, anyone that believes in the concept of chemistry never really played sports on a meaningful level or completely brought the excuses people throw out for failure. Is it a good thing for a team to be "close"? Yes, but it's not a guarantee for success.
-
bullshit Have you ever been on a team? I have been on many teams and chemistry is greatly over rated. It's one thing if the entire team hated each other but they dont have to be best friends outside the game. All it takes is physical chemistry, for certain styles to blend together as a unit. Personal chemistry doesn't do much, if anything on the playing field.

I finally caught the second episode and it was a big upgrade from the first episode. I like how they have evolved the characters further and already set up that the explosion has already happened but it needs to be stopped. I wonder if there's anything to the fact Petrelli won the election in a "landslide" after he said he was behind. I'm thinking that we know Ali Larter's character doesn't fit with the others, so what are the chances she might be the one doing the killings in LA and NYC. We've seen she loses track of time and obviously doesn't know about the deaths, I just think she'll end up playing a role in those. What I don't like is the cheerleader's father, he's not convincing and it seems forced.

Thanks for ruining my bid for a winless season.
-
That cop actually looked pretty pissed there.
-
I love this celebration as it's so much better then the boring "stand in a circle in the locker room/center of venue" and awkwardly high five people.
-
This is a great celebration.

He had to get all the Pittsburgh stink off him first. Did you know he's a nice guy? I don't think anyone has been called nice as much as Sean Casey. He's a really nice guy.

Fucking Cano and now watch Alex "tack on" a home run.
