I apologize in advance to Scarlet for dragging his numbers down after he sends me to my 0-6 record.
-
Yeah, and how is this different then FOX's outrageous annual claim to having "the best NFL coverage" despite shitty announcers, horrible gimmicky graphics and a crap filled pre-game show?
-
For some reason, the NFL doesn't allow ESPN to air that show against NBC's programing.
-
Everyone in Cincy will try to blame the lost on the benching of Chris Henry.
-
How did this guy get passed by 20+ teams in the draft before NE went "hey, lookie here"?
-
I'm willing to proclaim that TJ is the real #1 WR on that Bengals team, not Chad Johnson.
-
The problem with cutting Baker is that you stand a great chance of Chicago pulling another blunder with whomever they hire as his replacement.

Consider the conspiracy theories about the Patriots winning the Superbowl because of Sept 11 why can't the Saints with the Superbowl because of Katrina? Pats vs Saints at Superbowl this year! The winner, the politicians. If the media had their way, it'd be New Orleans Vs Cincinnati. Chris Henry's antics in Miami and the "emotional" story of NO probably would have the media doing backflips. Combine that with the Reggie Bush starpower, Chad Johnson and Joe Horn in a smack-off war... So it'll be Seattle Vs New England, most likely. Those Patriots aren't respected at all, at all

Four arrests in nine months? It only took someone else getting arrested for them to do something with Henry. Progress?
-
Chris Henry got benched for today's game. They might want to check that gatorade cup of his that is being held with a death grip.

I want to go back and count how times that ball was tossed around during that play. edit: has any team ever done that type of play that wasn't at the end of a game/half with success? I could totally see some hapless team like SF going "fuck it" and run a multi-lateral scramble type play in the 3rd quarted to shrink the lead from 38 to 31.
-
What a ending. I really thought they could have pulled it off.
-
It's the regular season where Peyton is Elway-like. The post-season is a different matter.
-
Jesus, I knew I would regret picking Indy in the survivor pool over Dallas (my inital pick). New England, might have a threat for that 10-6 winning record in the AFC East. I assume that the first three weeks from Minnesota was just a ploy as they are getting beat by the fucking Bills.

Samoa Joe has lost stream across the board, not just in TNA. In ROH, he has fallen from being "THE MAN" to being just another upper card attraction. His upcoming series of matches with Danielson usually would be getting alot of talk but even to his core fanbase, he appears to be burnt out. In TNA, it's a matter of stupid booking that has Joe looking like a man with no purpose and doesn't look he really did anything. In ROH, it's a matter of the fans moving away from the "Samoa Joe Show". He really needs to recharge and find that momentum he had just 8 months ago.

You want 2 well-worked matches and a RVD 20 minute match? It's only a 65 minute show. I'll take Punk doing another character developing promo and subsequent confrontation with Kelly and Knox to get his first meaningful feud going over a squash match.

Because this store is cheap.......the only people that do it are me and 2 other guys. And they are obsessed with getting everything done every night. Not to mention the day people don't touch the trucks so you can't get away with not doing anything. Like last night it was me and 1 other guy and the entire back room was full of freight from 2 trucks and they expect us to get that done....Oh and in the people that stack the pallets during the day just stack anything you can imagine together so you have to walk around the entire store to unload a pallet. Then if you complain to a boss about how ridiculously bad the pallets are stacked, they actually get worse like the day people go "fuck those night guys" and make them worse on purpose. Let's not mention the hours I get are fucking stupid. I work 4-5 days a week but only magine 25-32 hours because of the ridiculously stupid scheduling to avoid giving people full time. There are just numerous things about the job I hate that piss me off to no end. What makes it humerous is a good friend of mine works there and is always like "you need to go faster". Like I'm going to kill myself for the shitty pay and shitty hours. Also no one who is in charge knows anything, if you have a question they seriously have no answer for it. I'd like to know how the store even runs properly. Whoever orders is a dope and doesn't know how to order shit, we have a ton of or things we don't need. Like we got 2 pallets of lawn & garden the other day...how's that make any sense? Then if you ask who's ordering no one knows....or they won't say that they do. Then they have other people running around trying to start shit thinking they are in charge and they just purposely say shit when they come in to you like they are your boss when they aren't. See why I dislike it now? You dislike it because it's like any other work environment you'll ever see? You have a fairly easy job where you can afford to be lazy and spend the time not working to discredit the management. Stocking is one of the easiest jobs you can have and yet, you fret about having to move certain things in a certain way. Is the company supposed to alter everything to suit your needs? No. The store isn’t cheap when it only has 3 people doing stocking detail and why shouldn’t they be “obsessed” about you doing your job? You wonder why the day people make it harder? Its because word gets down that the night guys are bitching, so of course, they aren’t going to care about it. It’s called politics, you play it in every job. You have people telling you are lazy at your job, generally people, especially co-workers aren’t going to address that directly to you but when they do, it’s not a good thing. You spent a lot of time ragging the management and you should know (Lushus and Agent, probably will attest) that this doesn’t solve anything. I used to assume that management was nothing but a bunch of idiots but once I got into the management role, I quickly learned that it was more often the fault of the guys on the floor for whatever went wrong. I don’t know what type of job you can maintain when you admit to being a lazy worker and have no idea how to work with management. You claim to have a wish to work in radio but it’s not any different there then it is.

That was more or less a case of foreshadowing the events that were to occur a few months later between the two. They weren't exactly "ignoring" their past.
-
I just had 4 networks showing me the Illinois/MSU game. That's how boring today's schedule is.
-
Slot Oakland in Minnesota's place and I'd agree with the tag-line. I'm going with Dodgers Vs Twins. I'm not neccesarily on either team's bandwagon, but of the 8 teams involved, I like those two the most and their chances as well.
-
I considered these exact same three options, but I settled with Skyline. That being said, I'm one of those people who can only eat chinese food during the daytime.
-
They bring the McRib back every other year, it seems. I get one and then I realize why that is.
-
I don't think it really mattered where 'Til Death and Happy Hour was slotted, they are both terrible shows and I seriously doubt Fox really expected them to take off. I expect them to cancel both these shows by mid-november. I'm not

Notes -I really don’t have anything in particular to “ramble” about. My newfound relationship is going smoothly enough. Luckily, she has work tonight and most of tomorrow which means I can get some sleep as Im feeling really groggy or I can catch up on the recent ROH dvd’s I got the other day. On Sunday, we’re going to the art museum for a class project we’re doing together. I started my new job at the auto-shop this afternoon, it’s Friday which means they actually don’t work much. I like that. I just set up my office, which is half the size of my previous office and it’s basically a desk, chair and a couple file cabinets. My old office had a TV, Fridge and plenty of pacing space. This office is right in the shop, so any hopes of closing the blinds and taking a, um “nap” is eliminated. I’ll get used to it. I also realized how disorganized the owner is. The owner, took over for his brother who apparently has some health issues to take care of. The problem is, since he took over, he couldn’t keep track of the paperwork and when he did, he misplaced them. That’s my job. This allows him to just work in the shop. I already instituted a system that a monkey could follow, so my job shouldn’t be that hard. My mother had her surgery this morning and is already home and despite being wiped out with painkillers, it went well and she’ll be fine. That’s good. This makes me the only member of my immediate family who hasn’t had some form of surgery in this calendar year. This, of course, means I just jinxed myself. Since I did modestly well last week doing this, I’ll give more NFL Picks. This is spread-free. Which is why my picks will alter here from my picks in KKK’s deal. Arizona @ Atlanta -Atlanta is coming off a really embarrassing lost to New Orleans. Losing to a emotionally charged Saints isn’t embarrassing but their performance was. Arizona has the quarterback controversy they were expected to have already and it’s a guessing game to say who will actually start as they have already flip-flopped but it appears that Warner is still at the helm, for the time being. Doesn’t matter, Arizona has a lot of problems and Atlanta will be motivated here. Arizona 14 Atlanta 27 Dallas @ Tennessee -Tennessee has similar issues as Arizona regarding their veteran and rookie QB. The problem for Tennessee is that they have no real targets offensively. As for Dallas? What issues do they have? Well, just a statute for a QB and a WR that can’t keep himself out of the news even when he wasn’t trying. That being said, whatever Owens status will be for the game, Dallas should manage the hapless Titans Dallas 27 Tennessee 13 Indianapolis @ New York -The Jets are making a good case for a 2nd place, 6-10/7-9 record season, which would be an upgrade from the preseason expectations but this is a game that should give Manning a chance to shake a bad performance last week. Indianapolis 38 New York 20 Miami @ Houston -Miami, really isn’t good. SI lied. Houston, is Houston. Pick your poison. Miami 9 Houston 16 Minnesota @ Buffalo -Minnesota hung tough against a very good Chicago team while Buffalo let a good opportunity slip through their hands last weekend. I like Minnesota here. Minnesota 24 Buffalo 6 New Orleans @ Carolina -New Orleans is coming off a seriously emotional win that they needed to provide the city with. Carolina has STEVE SMITH! STEVE SMITH! STEVE SMITH! Back and that is a crucial element. I think New Orleans is for real but I still think Carolina has this one. I think it’ll be a fantastic game here. New Orleans 17 Carolina 21 San Diego @ Baltimore -This could be a big litmus test for both teams as each team collides with a legitimate team for once. I think the combination of San Diego’s potent offense and very good defense can overcome Baltimore’s great defense and vastly over hyped offense. San Diego 16 Baltimore 7 San Francisco @ Kansas City -KC has looked bad but San Francisco is San Francisco. Kansas City 42 San Francisco 13 Detroit @ St. Louis -I’m almost tempted to take Detroit. However, I’ll be conservative and pick St. Louis. Detroit 13 St. Louis 21 Cleveland @ Oakland -A horrible game that should be completely ugly or insanely awesome in it’s suck. Cleveland 10 Oakland 6 Jacksonville @ Washington -A very smash mouth game here. It could swing either way. Jacksonville 14 Washington 10 New England @ Cincinnati -Cincinnati is clicking on all cylinders. New England looks lost out there and most teams are starting to figure them out. That being said, New England could be a trap game as they are coming off a headache with Thurman, looking forward to the bye week that’s followed by a MURDEROUS stretch of games and NE, apparently hasn’t lost consecutive games in over 55+ games, or something. I think Cincinnati still has it. New England 13 Cincinnati 21 Seattle @ Chicago -This is a very important game. Chicago struggled against a good team in Minnesota, now they got a more loaded team. The defense of Chicago should have no problem confusing Hasselback. I’ll take a close game here. Probably a FG game. Seattle 13 Chicago 17 Green Bay @ Philadelphia -I’d like to think Green Bay gained some momentum but I think Philly still holds a moderate edge on Green Bay but Favre usually shines on MNF. I think he’ll have a fantastic game but the special teams will hurt Green Bay Green Bay 27 Philadelphia 35

Kidnapped, was better then Vanished. I'm slightly disapointed that it's already headed to the slaughter. Justice never really had a chance with a unlikable cast, bad premise (who'd really get behind a show about greedy LA defense lawyers?) and gimmicky production. I figure they'll give it one more shot, perhaps moving it behind House. I think Standoff is capable of doing well without the House lead-in. Here's a quick top 5 new shows for me 1. Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip 2. Stand-Off 3. Heroes 4. Shark 5. Runaway
