You neglect that during that time period, they had a head writer who actually paid attention to things like foreshadowing and such. It's not a stretch to assume that they were doing that to make the connection.

Parcells knew what he was doing when he signed with Dallas. He knew that it'd be a media circus with Jones. He knew the team needed massive overhaul. It's not as if he and Jones were going to co-exist for Parcell's entire tenure, The Player just sped the process up.

Gas returned below $2 again this morning and then it shot back to $2.29. I can live with $2.29, but I just cant stand how it jumps around every six hours.

This was, if anything a pre-emptive move from WWE. Kash, already failed a test earlier this year (and has had issues with drugs in the past), notorious for his attitude problems. Kash was getting back in the habit of being a locker room problem again, so why should WWE bother putting up with a troublemaking nuisance that isn’t worth the time in the long run considering Jamie Knoble can be easily repackaged with another wrestler or back to his singles career. He was hardly a critical member of the roster. There’s been countless dumber firings.

Reds are just one game back of the Astros. It's still very possible that all three of those teams end up in a deadlock. If only Cincy won tonight, that'd really make things scary.

A part of me hopes Cincinnati doesn't win again tonight so that'll squash the faint playoff chances they have. It's bad enough that St. Louis will either crawl into the playoffs or Houston pissing off everyone except one person by going through the backdoor into the playoffs. It'd be really bad if Cincinnati gets in because they aren't that good and would just be slammed in the playoffs anyways.

I would suggest they just push Noble as a singles wrestler as the CW ranks consists of Helms and Hardy. Hardy/Noble could be a pretty good series.

You know the media is just waiting to blame Parcells for not being a good father figure for T.O and that his tough love approach drove Owens to his suicidal outburst. Parcells or McNabb. One of them is getting blamed because now the media feels sorry for Owens.

This is what really annoys me about our society in general today, the additional "publicity stunt" comments that have flown around the second this story broke. Granted, with a character like Owens, it might be justified to assume he would do something along these lines but his past record for his stunts doesn't match this specific incident. There's a extreme difference between having a workout session in your driveway in front of the media and taking 35 pills. The stories about TO's past has always been somewhat known but generally ignored (childhood abuse, absentee father that turned out to be his neighbor, alchoholic grandmother) but since this particular event occured, people are paying more attention to those facts and taking in consideration in regards to SF and Philly requesting mental health evaluations in the past for him. Do I think he attempted suicide? I don't know and I'm not going to speculate on that aspect because I only know fragments of what really happened here, it's far from my place to state my belief. I just think people need to drop the idiotic notion that it's merely a stunt. No one pops 35 pills just to be the lead-off story for Sportscenter. T.O doesn't need to do that. Do I buy that it was merely an allergic reaction? Sure, but who accidently takes that many pills? It's stretch and I think this whole situation has alot more to see developed before we can get a accurate picture of what happened.

Detroit's the only new team in so far. Minnesota is making its fourth appearance in five years, and Oakland its fifth in seven seasons. I wonder which teams draws more bandwagoners, Minnesota or Detroit?

Because they have been over for years and generally observed as dependable workers? That, a dead main eventer and a pile of injuries.

You can tell that Heyman is working on the Punk, Knox and Thorn side of developing those new talents and that WWE is all over the Dupree character.

The only "positive" is from the attendance standpoint, it allows to have another route to the playoffs and provides fans with that aforementioned "ray of hope" but having a mediocre team on a hot streak (which is usually required to get that spot) walk in and take the titles. Look at the wild card teams that pulled off a WS win or those WC/WC games, ratings for those were pretty low. It shows that teams that don't appeal to the nation (granted, only 3-4 teams these days get national interest). So the wild-card offering sub-par teams from walking through the backdoor into the world series isn't helping the ratings game for MLB.

Punk did have that "Great, him" attitude regarding Knox which is a good touch. My only problem with Punk is his current facial hair look, he looks really dumb with it.

That was a good segment there and I liked how Punk basically called Kelly a dog.
