Chris Benoit Dead - Toxicology results released
Boxer replied to Human Fly's topic in The WWE Folder
After reading the general thread and seeing a post about Batista's book and how it apparently buries wrestlers this got me thinking. Will we EVER hear another positive story from and future WWE book about Benoit again? Or will the WWE instruct wrestlers to just not mention his name in their autobiographies? -
The Kennedy-Hunter storyline kinda has Wrestlemania 2000 written all over it again, with the McMahons everywhere in the title match. Edge-Undertaker is an interesting match, but I don't know why I smell a double DQ. Edge doesn't need the win, so the rub wouldn't really establish him, because that's already done. Undertaker won the belt exactly one Wrestlemania ago, so it may not feel as special. Maybe they can throw a third guy in here? The Flair storyline must have a slow burn. Who would be the ideal person to retire him though? Simple, Randy Orton, come on down. I don't think he ever added Flair to his legend killer list, though I could be wrong. I guess it's natural for the former Evolution guys to slug it out. As for Raw vs. Smackdown, ROOTS GENOA to the rescue. Just make him a blank wrestler or something, like how sports games get around the loophole of players who didn't sign a contract with the players association. I am looking forward to Booker being in the production meetings especially with Hunter there. Maybe this can give birth to a NEW Willy the Worker? D-Lo deserves another run, possibly with the IC or US title. I think Smackdown would be a better fit for him. Great great news for Extreme Expose. Now that is well......... EXTREME! Finally someone I'm actually looking forward to see in the great pages of the magazine. The Harts should get introduced in Montreal, but that's just my opinion. You can reset the last 10 years, by reintroducing them in the same place the original Hart Foundation died. It's a resurrection that didn't involve the Undertaker for a change. So I guess we'll see a lot of Booker T being buried in Batista's book eh? I think besides HHH, Flair and possibly Orton, did he have any other friends in the Raw and Smackdown locker rooms? Against Batista. Exactly. I guess the WWE is deciding now is the time to do the match they wanted to do in at least 2-3 years now.

Could this man work as a HEEL in the WWE? Could he be a good manager? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyYUCURU1HU
-
I stumbled across this after watching the TNA Remix video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyYUCURU1HU I say BRING HIM IN NOW and make him the #1 heel. Who knew that he could work as a heel. Maybe even in the WWE vs. Mick Foley could work.

Washington has certainly the best off-season thus far. Speaking of Washington, I read this on another board and it kinda made sense. What is it with this franchise and their playesrs and women. For those that haven't followed the team that closely, we've had the following: Rod Strickland Tracy Murray Juwan Howard Chris Webber Andrey Blache DeShawn Stevenson All have had problems with women while being a member of the franchise. This has been a trend for about 10 years now, anyone know why?

It's simple, pick a wrestler and give me your top 5 and bottom 5 moments for that wrestler. I'll start with R-V-D. Top 5: 1. Winning the WWE/ECW Title 2. Winning the ECW TV title 3. Winning the WWF Hardcore Title 4. Winning money in the bank 5. Winning IC title for the first time at Wrestlemania X-8 Bottom 5: 1. Getting caught with Sabu and suspended for 30 days 2. Losing the WWE title to Edge 3. Losing the ECW title to Big Show 4. Losing via an elbow drop to Bubba Ray at Wrestlemania 19 5. Taking a pedigree and the 2002 Royal Rumble and never getting up only to be eliminated by Booker T. I hope all these are debateable because I'd like to see your Top 5 and Bottom 5 moments for all those wrestlers out there.

There was a dispute of some kind between the person who ran the original site and the person who owned the domain name. They were friends and had a falling out over something. Thanks HTQ, you seem to be full of knowledge today, that's not to say you never did.
-
Can someone explain what happened to obsessedwithwrestling.com? The original design and look is now under a new name with the obsessed domain is now called v 2.0. Did I miss something here? Is one site an imposter over another?

Not to look to far ahead, but ler's say within due time HHH gets the belt again. What if he held on to it for more than a year? Would you people HATE it or LOVE it?

August 12 1999. After re-watching the Confidential DVD piece of the British Bulldog, there's a clip on an interview he did on that date. I remember it never aired because there was some controversy behind it. Anyone remember this? Also what he said and why it never got shown?

As useless trivia goes, it's interesting. Do you also have the biggest jobber on pay per view from 2000-2007?
-
Cena, I want the novelty of a 1 year plus champion. I think he can easily take out Savage's record of 371 Days. He's at 339 as of today. Survivor Series is the right time for him to drop the title.

I don't know here, I slowly get the feelinf Angle is becoming not a locker room politican, but he is definately getting some stroke with the company. If they suceed in bringing in Brock then I'll be DAMN!

Anyone have a clue what the autopsy results were?

So will all his assets be "auctioned" off? After all the money and settlements are done, I wonder what will happen to all the belts and other wrestling related stuff he got throughout the years will go. I wouldn't be surprised to see a replica of the belts Benoit won that the companies usually give the guys after the won the title on eBay. -
Did the Nation and Hart Foundation ever settle their feud that lasted for about 2-3 weeks on Raw in 1997? If my memory serves me correctly, the storyline just disappeared in place of Hart vs. Michaels at Survivor Series. The reason why I ask this, is in faykabe, if it never got settled and the Nation still thought the Hart Foundation vandalised their locker room, so then why was Owen Hart allowed to join the Nation?

Here's the cover for the Bret Hart book that's suppose to be over 400 pages coming out in October. Wonder if he'll show up on WWE TV around that time to promote the book. Nice to see McMahon still living up to what he said a few years ago about letting Bret use photos for a book if he was ever to write one. Edit: It's actually 576 pages. Damn, this is gonna be a good read.

I read somewhere the plan was for HHH to drop the IC title to Henry when they did the Chyna angle. It's funny how the original plan was to shoot HHH to superstardom after the ladder match, only to have The Rock come out as the bigger star between the two at that time.

Marc Mero, add another one to your list
Boxer replied to Prophet of Mike Zagurski's topic in General Wrestling
Am I the only one who at first, when I saw this thread, mis read it as "Marc Mero, add yourself to your list"? I thought he was actually dead until I re-read the title. -
Pretty much sums up how I feel. I say let the old WCW fans enjoy what happened during those times. There is definately money there for those box sets galore. I wonder if the WWE would ever do a Nitro Boxed Set though? Because there's an actual begining and end to the box set unlike Raw, it could work.

So does it look like Booker T has no chance in hell of winning? Will he kinda be buried like he did at Wrestlemania 19? Will there be another 10 seconds of doom after the pedigree? I just hope Booker T actually gets some offense in here and isn't made out to look weak or inferior to the game.
-
It's been about more than 6 years now since WCW was around and I'm wondering, do you get the feeling that the younger generation doesn't know anything about them? Because it's under WWE's banner now, will they try their best to make people forget about their closest competitor who almost made them go out of business? I'm sure the younger fans like those Cena ones may not remember WCW because they were too young. Does it bother you if in 10-15 years hardly anyone under 25 will remember the name WCW? They had a big impact on the WWE, but unlike ECW, I think the WWE just wants to tuck WCW away forever. Anyone feel the same way about WCW? Sure the promotion sucked big time it's last year or so, but overall, it had a lasting impact that I hope isn't forget in the years to come.

OaO Monday Night Raw Thread - 08/13/07
Boxer replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in The WWE Folder
Looking back at WWE Idol, would anyone have marked out if 3 count were one of the participants? I mean they already have 2/3 or the group on the roster and Evan could take a one night shot and there you have it. -
What if the WWE allowed the nWo to succeed? How long would they last? My bet would be a year or so. It would be so much better if after Survivor Series as Vince claims he's destroyed the WCW out comes Bischoff who says you killed WCW but not the nWo, cue the music and out come Hall, Nash, and Hogan. If they lasted about a year or so, I could've seen the odd WWE guy join the nWo like maybe HHH or HBK. They could've made stars out of DDP and Booker T again after being damaged by the InVasion storyline by bringing up their past feuds with the nWo. They do have the tape footage so it could'be worked. If they let the nWo run over the roster a team of Angle/Lesnar/Taker/Jericho/Kane against Hall/Nash/Hogan/HHH/HBK would've been something at Survivor Series that year. Just imagine the locker room with those 5 politicians backstage.
