Now around this same time, I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this happened. Apparently Bulldog and Austin were getting into it with cheap attacks coming from Austin. It looked like Bulldog was gonna turn face and feud with Austin, but the storyline just stopped. Also, I remember on Raw showing footage from one of their tours and Bret saving Bulldog from Sid or something like that only for Sid to powerbomb Bret. Why did Bret come out and save Bulldog? All these shades of grey just makes everything confusing to me.

Albert and Lance Storm were two guys who had a cup of coffee with the strap. It's too bad they wanted to transition the belt to Edge so quickly, I would've like to see an extended run by Storm with the title. Even Mike Awesome would've made a good IC champion.

To be fair, it wasn't until '99 or so where the IC belt wasn't the same. I probably would've kept the belt from the likes of Road Dogg, Chyna and Godfather and not had the European Championship. (Even up until early 2000, it was in high enough prestige - see Angle/Jericho/Benoit) I remember some people weren't happy with the Mero, HHH and The Rock's first title run. Owen did a good job, and then the Rock went on a great run the second time around. So maybe you're right, it wasn't THAT bad till 99'. Edit: I purposely left out Steve Austin because his first run never happened, and WHY he got a 2nd run with the IC title I'll never know. And then he didn't even job the title to Rock so he was basically a useless IC champion. I know they had to protect him, so when he won the IC title, that put them in a bind. They didn't have to do that. Shamrock or someone could've just defeated Owen who could then give Shamrock the chance to job the belt to Rocky.

The Santino-Simmons-Maria-Regal moments are just great. Santino should run with this heel gimmick at full throttle. I hope he gets another run with the IC title.

For me at least, this was a weird site to behold: All that time in Houston and then THIS? At least Ewing bounced from Seattle to Orlando, so it didn't mean as much. But Hakeem spent his whole career in Houston, college and pro, and then Toronto?

A heel who got face pops. So then, was Shawn a heel after Survivor Series 96 or did he just play an angrier face? Because he was a bitter, BITTER man during that period of after Survivor Series until the Royal Rumble. So if Shawn was a heel, why go back to face? From Bret's return until both Bret and Shawn turned heel, it was a little confusing for your WWF fan there. Before they both turned heel, some days Bret acted like a heel, some days Shawn acted like a heel, hell, some days, Sid, Taker, and Austin all acted like heels even though they were faces.

So this Reggie talk won't ge away. If I was a betting man, he's coming back to Boston. I just wonder if the Celtics will end up like the 04 Lakers. 4 Stars and they just came up short. BTW, the Warriors just waived Adonal Foyle. Somewhere, a Warriors fan is happy about this one.

Apparently the new thing is that a video leaked for one of his songs that was due in October. 50 got pissed and smashed some stuff and now isn't talking to his label Interscope. He thinks it was an inside job. As for Kayne, I think Ja Rule and company should buy as many albums as possible, to you know, support Kanye!

So how was the media attention in your area? My local paper ran a little blurb about Pacman in TNA. It didn't name the pay per view, just said he got attacked backstage and was held back by the "police". I'm surprised it actually made my local sports section. The only Wrestling I can remember in my sports section was Benoit and that's pretty much about it.

So after re-watching this disc, which match do you think was better? Match #1: Owen/Bulldog vs. Austin/HBK or Match #2: Austin/HHH vs. Jericho/Benoit Both seem to have simliar vibes to their matchs with the faces actually winning the straps. I didn't think either team would win the matches let alone the titles. The formulas were the same and the crowd was HOT for both matches. Both were from Raw, but as time goes by, I'm gonna say the Austin/HBK vs. Owen/Bulldog was the better match. I just loved how they booked the match and back then, tag partners who hated each other hadn't been worn out yet like it is today.

What's MSG's feelings on Cena these days? Could that be Big Pop #6 a.k.a. Heel Heat #1?
