  1. a press conference is going to be Fox news in a little while.
  2. Fox just interviewed Terri Runnels, where did they dig her up. She didn't say much. They just said that Benoits doctor gave him a 10 month supply of steroids every 3 months
  3. I don't know if this had been posted already but here's an update on the mysterious Wiki editor: http://blog.wired.com/underwire/2007/06/wikipedia-anony.html another coincidence?
  4. http://www.clarionledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll...0/NEWS/70630015 This article suggests that Benoit's GHB habit may have played a role in what happened. He apparently did GHB with Chris Adams, and we all know what happened with him. I had no clue Benoit abused that drug or that he did it with Adams. That theory is more believible than the "roid rage" hypothesis.
  5. The notes from meltzer seem to say he was planning the killings for a while especially thelife insurance claim.
  6. He's right though. I can't disagree with him on anything. The only way for professional wrestling to get any better, is if it stops COMPLETELY and then is started up again. It is a highly unregulated business.
  7. I have to say the interview that filled in for Greta wasnt nearly as bad as most I don't know who she was but she mentioned that she read Jericho's book so she not only is a very good interviewer but she took the time to do some research about her guest. That's certainly more than any one else seems to have done.
  8. Jericho needs to go on ever news show and set them stright.
  9. Bill and Debra are arguing back and forth on the show
  10. Bill De Mott is on Hannity and Colmes
  11. I am sitting here now thinking it was one week ago tonight that all this shit started and no one had any clue it was happening
  12. Since people are making crazy theries well here is mine It was Sabu he resented Benoit since he broke his neck and waited all these years to get back at him.
  13. by Debbie Fernandez My name is Debbie Fernandez, wife of the late Ray “Hercules” Fernandez and I am writing to you because I am sickened by the recent tragic event to strike the Wrestling World. I am also appalled at the fact that Vince McMahon is trying to play off the idea that there is not a Steroid Use problem in the WWE. After Ray died, I was too devastated to open up a discussion regarding the deadly roll that Steroid use plays in the lives of these wrestlers, but now, after seeing yet another tragedy, I must speak up. Vince McMahon acquires these young men, who are eager to join the world of wrestling, and who do not know any better and think that they are going to be rich and famous, but at what price? He all but preaches that his Wrestlers do not take Steroids, and they are periodically tested, now does anyone really believe that? There is a reason why so many Wrestlers have died at such a young age, partly due to the Steroid use, and most importantly because most of them end their wrestling career with NOTHING! They have no health benefits, they have no retirement, and they are just tossed out like yesterdays trash. The only one who benefits from their blood, sweat and tears is Vince McMahon. They wrestle when their sick or hurt because they are so scared to lose their jobs, and they will, so the only way that they can stay in the game is to take steroids. Does Vince McMahon really expect us to believe that he knows nothing about the wrestlers using steroids? The problem is that like my husband, many of the wrestlers from that era were too loyal to the profession to say anything, because if you rocked the boat, you knew you were on your way out. They just had to suck it up and do whatever it took to keep their jobs. They control everything you do professionally and personally, right down to picking your accountant, so that he can steal you blind. With all the money that the WWE brings in, you would think that they would take care of their investments and offer them the proper benefits that they and their families deserve. Now, I do not believe that Chris Benoit’s actions were caused by Steroid use, but, I do feel that Vince McMahon should be held accountable for the fact that he IS aware of everything that is going on, and that the majority of Wrestlers do take Steroids. When is it going to be enough? When are these guys going to join together and realize that unless they stand up to McMahon and fight for the benefits that they deserve, and that the WWE can afford to give them, they are headed for an early grave. Sincerely, Debbie Fernandez
  14. Warrior has been re-scheduled for Monday due to the London bombing attempt.
  15. Source – PWInsider.com WWE has put a media ban on their superstars for the next three weeks. This means that WWE stars can’t do any interviews with any media other than WWE.
  16. maybe she didnt say anything in fear of what Chris would do.
  17. In light of the Chris Benoit tragedy that took the life of Chris (40), his wife Nancy (43), and their 7-year old son Daniel, news of Mike Awesome's suicide is now coming to light. According to sources, Awesome was told by his wife that she was unhappy and wanted a divorce. Upon hearing the news, Awesome physically confronted his wife by grabbing her by the throat and throwing her against or into a wall. Awesome's wife called police and had Mike arrested for domestic abuse. While in jail Awesome was told by his wife that she was leaving him, taking his money, and, again according to sources, told the former ECW Champion that she "hated" him. She then took what she could from their home, threw out certain things that belonged to Awesome, and left. Sources claim that Awesome was beyond distraught and very depressed about the marriage, which he felt was stable and secure, all of a sudden being stripped out from under him. All of this transpiring while Awesome was still in jail, it should be noted. Shortly after returning home from jail, with nothing left to come back to, Awesome hanged himself. Friends discovered the body shortly afterwards.
  18. Perry Aguayo Jr. became a Mexican mainstream celebrity when his yellow team won the “El Cinco de Magnificos” reality show, which was viewed by 10 million people. His first match back is 7/6. Wrestler Caballero de la Muerte has passed away. AAA’s TripleMania will air on 8/12 in the United States on Galavision. It now appears Hulk Hogan will not compete at TripleMania, as he never called AAA back. The "Juice" is at it again. Juventud Guerrera threw a chair through a window at his Merida hotel room after getting into an argument with his girlfriend.
  19. if the Wiki entry did come Stanford, then you really need to re-evaluate this case big time.
  20. I just heard on Fox News that the police are now investigating this Wikipedia entry. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,287194,00.html
  21. Eric Bischoff comments: http://www.ericbischoff.com/blog.asp?Path=...mp;MaxListings= How Can This Be? I can not begin to articulate my feelings about the tragedy in the Benoit family. It is something I am really struggling to comprehend. I heard the news late Monday afternoon just as I was sitting down in a business meeting in Pittsburgh, I sat stunned as I listned to DDP on the other end of the phone, trying to tell me what happened. My meeting went very late into the evening and there was little new information when I went to bed. My phone rang at 7am on Tues and the caller ID revealed a 404 area code. Assuming it was someone that I used to work with in the area, I answered the phone. It was a local sports/talk show in the Atlanta area and they wanted to get my comments. I hesitated, but since the radio personality was a friend of a friend, I decided to go ahead. The questions started out ok...what one would normally expect in a situation like this. However they quickly turned into a "who's to blame" line of questioning and went down hill from there. It's really impossible anymore to be honest about something as tragic and emotionally charged as this issue without sounding like I have some kind of "hidden agenda". Its clear that the media wants to blame steroids, professional wrestling, Vince McMahon, or anyone or anything else that further sensationalizes this family tragedy. I refuse to join the choir. I don't have enough information. I wasn't there. I am not a psychiatrist. I just can't imagine how or why this could have happened. God bless Nancy and Daniel. God forgive Chris Benoit.
  22. From Matt Hardy's MySpace: June 28, 2007 - Thursday My brief comments on this week's tragedy Hello my friends. I hope all of you and your families are doing well. I wanted to post something based on all of the events that have taken place over the last few days. Many of you have sent me messages worrying about me and asking if I'm ok. Just so you know--I'm good, thanks for asking. I have quite a bit that I actually wanna discuss concerning the Benoit tragedy, the media's coverage of it, and what this means for the future of the business. If I am given the blessing of the powers that be in the WWE, I will write a very detailed, in-depth blog stating my unedited opinions. For now, I just wanted to address all of my friends, fans, and supporters with a summary of my feelings and thoughts. I haven't always agreed with every decision Vince McMahon has made, but I do agree with everything he's done dealing with this situation thus far. Out of respect for the sudden death of Benoit's family and his contributions to the business, I think Vince did the right thing by canceling the scheduled Raw. When the decision was made to make Raw a Chris Benoit tribute show, the WWE was only doing what seemed respectful and right at that time. When more information was discovered, the WWE took a different and appropriate stance towards their programming. The ECW and Smackdown shows this week were dedicated to our great fans. Wrestling fans who were grieving and confused over this tragedy needed us, including me, to entertain them. I feel it is my responsibility, as well as my pleasure, to put smiles on people's faces and give them an escape from reality. I know Vince feels that way as well. Chris Benoit was always kind, considerate, and professional when I interacted with him. Like everyone else, I was shocked when everything came out. I can't believe Chris Benoit and his wife and child are dead as I type this. As of now, all of the strange pieces of this puzzle haven't been put together yet. My thoughts and prayers go out to Benoit's other two children as well as the immediate family and friends of the deceased. More than anything, I feel terrible for little Daniel--he was as innocent as any human being could possibly be. This is a terrible and sad tragedy. I am very disappointed with how many media outlets are lapping the entire population of professional wrestlers into this situation. There are many outstanding, wonderful people that do so many great things for the world that I work and wrestle with. It's not fair or accurate. Tell the people you love that you love them, and never lose sight of what's really important in life. We may not ever understand why this tragedy happened, but we have to learn from it. Stay strong--life is too precious and too short. I have much more I want to say about the activities of the last few days. If it's appropriate, I definitely will. Be well my friends, I'll talk to you soon... Quote of the day - "I won't let this build up inside of me" - Slipknot, Vermillion Matt
  23. Victoria has weighed in as well: Hey All. I had planned ..ing off talking about a recent trip to an arena football game, but I would be remiss not to address the Chris Benoit situation. Everyone who knew anything about wrestling knew of his in-ring contributions. I truly don't know what I can say and not get in trouble with the WWE. Anyone who reads my blogs regularly knows how much I love wrestling, and being part of the WWE. But I think what I have to say is more important. His son, Daniel, came to many shows. We bonded. He a was a cute little boy. What Chris did was selfish and hurtful. I fear that him being a superstar in some way glamorizes the situation. That's not what suicide is. It is selfish and hurtful. As long as you have a breath to breathe, you can make change to improve your life. You can talk to family, or friends, or clergy. And if you're not comfortable with any of them, here are two phone numbers for a Suicide and Crisis Hotline. 1-800-784-2433 (1-800-SUICIDE) or 1-800-273-8255 (1-800-273-TALK). They take calls 24/7. You always have options. Maybe someday I'll be able to forgive Chris, but not today. God Bless Us All, Lisa Marie
