  1. It's weird. I thought all of the Canadian posters on the board and elsewhere would be happy that another team could move into Canada. I understand that a lot of the arenas (MTS Centre) are not up to NHL standards. All it takes is for one team to move and then an arena to be built, just like in Colorado, Tampa Bay, and Phoenix.
  2. The NHL: Get rid of the shootout. I feel bad for saying this but regular season OT should be handled like the playoffs. Limit the league to 24 teams. The other teams should be in a separate league. Somewhere between the AHL and NHL. Get rid of the salary cap. Let's face it, the GM's are overpaying players even with the salary cap. I hate losing players because of it. I have more. Are we just limited to three? I'm going to do baseball to piss people off. The All Star Game will not determine the home field advantage of the WS. There will be more interleague play especially between regional rivals. Every team and every jersey must have name and number on the back. This isn't the 1920's.
  3. Was that before or after he died? I think the wrestlers backstage should see Vince's ghost and pretend no one else can see it, like Warrior-Hogan in WCW.
  4. I think Vince committed suicide. He was depressed and he took one last look at his family and then offed himself.
  5. Just get a good camera and a few of your friends and shoot your script. Then post it on YouTube. You may have a better shot of being noticed.
  6. Yeah I'll be there. I look like this for those of you who forgot/don't care.
  7. There is a Dave & Buster's and Gameworks in a mall near me. I used to like Gameworks but it's so crowded and it most of the same games every time I go there. D&B is a lot quieter and less crowded so I go there a lot. When I was younger, I used to go to two arcades. There was an arcade that was in a Family Fun Center. I remember waiting online to play Super Street Fighter when it came out. I was disappointed when they didn't have the Turbo edition so my dad took me to a closer arcade which had it. They had it and I fell in love with the place. It's a hole in the wall but there a few fighting games, retro, and DDR games. I still love that place.
  8. 1. Super Street Fighter II Turbo - My favorite of the SF 2 series. 2. Virtua Fighter 2 3. Metal Slug 5 or whichever is the latest one 4. King of Fighters XI 5. NBA Hangtime 6. Pac Man 7. Dig Dug 8. The Simpsons 9. Mortal Kombat II 10. Gauntlet Dark Legacy
  9. I would take: HHH Cena CM Punk RVD Rey Mysterio
  10. I don't post that often because I don't analyze a lot of the players. I know who Jack Johnson, Crosby, and Ovechikin are but beyond that I can't talk about prospect. I watch a lot of hockey when I get a chance to and I play on Sundays at a roller rink. Yes, it's good that the Ducks won the Cup before the Kings. I really hope it helps and motives Phillip Anshultz to have a real commitment to the Kings. I want a 7 game playoff series against the two teams. Of course there haven't been a lot of Ducks posters around here so it's hard to defend your position. Oh look at the bandwagon fans they say...so what. Every team that wins a championship has that effect. Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis had great fan bases also but ownership kill both of them. People like winning teams, who can blame them. I don't want the NHL to expand. Create another league or something. More teams mean there is less of a chance to win a Cup. If there was still just the Original Six, Toronto, Montreal, and Detroit would have more Cups. I feel sorry for all the Ottawa fans on this board. I wish we could have met in 2003 Finals instead. In game 5, Alffredson was doing all he could to carry the team. If the Ducks hypothetically sellout every game, it will suck for me, because I don't have season tickets. I am happy Selanne and Giguere won the Cup.
  11. I have been here awhile so I'll post.
  12. So I guess Chris Phillips will be banned from coming back to Ottawa.
  13. My dad and I moved around the 200 sections. We might have been on camera too. I think we went to 200, 214, and then the other side of the rink. We were a couple sections away from the radio during 1st period.
  14. I went to the Honda Center too. There were about 2,000 people there. I think Pronger is suspended at least two games. He can't keep pulling "I'm a big dude. Get your head out of my way. Ottawa will probably win game 4.
  15. I hope Ottawa wins at least one game. I really don't like sweeps in the Finals, plus I want to go to game 5 and/or 7.
  16. Actually New Jersey is moving from East Rutherford to Newark. I don't think they'll be leaving the state soon. I really don't think a sport league can force a team to leave. If the owners in Florida and Washington like their low attendance numbers and losing money, they'll keep their teams in place. Washington has a long history, so if they decide to stop rebuilding the team season, they may make it to the playoffs. The Coyotes also have a new building and they aren't going anywhere for awhile. The Jets/Coyotes have always been mediocre and no one wants to see a poor team play. Since I started watching hockey in 2003, it was good to know which teams are in which division. I understand that the divisions were named after historical figures and that Gary Bettman is the Anti-Christ, but I think Western/Eastern is easier to pick up for a casual fan.
  17. The Ducks games sold out fast and I'm sure the Ottawa games also sold out in a short amount of time. I didn't get any tickets.
  18. The Ducks said they sold out 22 of their last home games. According to ESPN, we're 17th in the league in attendance. The Honda Center was filled to 95% capacity. http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/attendance?s...t&year=2007
  19. Dude, second hand tickets will probably start more than $100. Last time the Ducks went to the Finals, my dad paid $120 per ticket to a scalper.
  20. UMWOOOOOOHOOOOOOO! I guess I'll go to game 1.
  21. First of all, this is why people get second opinions when it comes to anything with the body. Secondly, Mr. Kennedy wouldn't have lost his shot at the title if the Undertaker hadn't gotten injured. I don't think he has a shot of winning a lawsuit based misdiagnoses a non-life threatening condition.
  22. Get a Hasek jersey. If the Wings win the Cup, he'll probably leave again. Or get a Lidstrom jersey.
  23. Hasek gives up a lot of rebounds but the Ducks aren't capitalizing on them. I thought I would see more Wings fans at the game yesterday. Most of the chants at the game were directed at the refs.
  24. You were king of message board you say. It's going to be hard for you take over this one, good luck. My review of WM 21. Since I was there live, I may be a bit biased. I think it blows away WM I, WM II, IV-IX, and few others. Every match had to have at 10 to 15 stars....Well, I'll continue later.
  25. Yeah I could write more about New Orleans but I want to take a slight break from it because this happen. I played roller hockey on Mother’s Day. I woke up groggy because I was up till about 1 o’ clock in the morning. I guess in the back of my mind, I figured I may get another assist or block a shot or something. I probably wouldn’t score another goal in my life because I’ve missed so many rebounds and I haven’t played hard enough. I was the first person to arrive in our locker room and I was the second person on my team on the rink. I started shooting pucks from different angles at the net. I was getting most of them in. My teammate Ray told me to stay in front of the net and deflect pucks into the net. “Who cares”, I thought. It is not going to happen this way. We were playing a tough team. They were higher in the standing than us. They had some good defensemen and it was going to be a tough game with our depleted roster. I was playing badly and almost running into my teammates. I should have seen it coming. Usually when I’m playing my worst, good things do happen. I stood towards the right of the opposing goalie during the second period. We tied 3-3 and the time was winding down. Chris had a hat trick and no one else was scoring. It’s weird that when I was coached in high school I was told to do the same thing. I would stand and screen the goalie and collect any rebounds. I had scored previously off my skate with a random team in Upland but I didn’t consider that my first goal. I scored with Snipers before a lot of bad stuff happened and that was my first goal. I had been with this team for three seasons and this was the season I was showing signs of life. I was getting assists and making plays and feeling good about myself. It was Mother’s Day and I was at the right of the goalie. I was looking for the pass and I got it. I couldn’t react to it till passed the goal line. I couldn’t believe it. I had done it for a third time and it was sweet. I raised my hands in the air and tried to do a little jump. My teammates on the floor embraced me and a couple of the player on the bench congratulated me. I felt great that I had accomplished something that I hadn’t been able to in three seasons. The Average Joes scored again in third period. What was running in the back of my mind was when am I going to score again? I mean, come on. I am an American and I want more, more, more. I saw Ray taking a slapshot. It rebounded and came to stick. Without hesitation I used a quick wrist shot and put the puck over the pad of the goalie and scored again. The only way I could react to that was, “What the ….” Ray came over and gave a bear hug. Suddenly, with about seven minutes left, it was not about scoring a goal but about getting a hat trick. I didn’t get that hat trick but I would have never imagined scoring two goals in a season, let alone the same day. I was the last one on my team to score. We lost 7-5. I was congratulated by both teams after the game was over and I can’t wait for next Sunday.
