Someone over at the OH parsed the numbers out on the effect the 12 sunday losing streak has had. Take out those 12 loses and the Os are 42-28 which is a .594 winning % which would equal a 49-33 record which would put them in 2nd place 1.5 games behind TB, not counting the fact that 2 of the 12 sunday loses were to TB which if converted to wins would put the Os in first place. If you take out all the Reds losses and replace them with wins, they would be in first place. Drastic, I know, but so is that guy's logic.

Bah, I had the wrong team on my mind when looking at the standings. I was speaking of Toronto, who are right below the Orioles.

Okay, time to gripe about a call involving my favorite baseball team. Doumit from the Bucs ran through a stop sign at third and tried to make it back. The relay wasn't at the bag. Doumit dives from foul territory as Encarnacion dives to tag him. He tags him on the hip, and then the leg. Doumit did not reach the bag and was called safe. He then reached over with his other hand and tagged the base and was called safe a second time. Encarnacion jumped up and was immediately tossed from the game. This reminded me of The Naked Gun.

Before the end of last night's Reds/Pirates game, they showed a stat on Cincy's record against winning and losing teams. On teams .500 or better, they were like .573 or something. Against teams under .500? They were 11-21 or somewhere in that ballpark. Wow. After interleague play, where the AL demolished the NL as a whole, the AL has 10 teams over .500. The NL has 6 teams over .500. The Orioles are two games under and there are 3 teams in the NL that are 3 games or less under.

What is it, Bob? It's still down. Edit---Not down anymore. I'm not impressed.

I was watching on the computer but had clicked off the screen right when he hit the finisher. Did he have him in the MDD and turn that into a version of a Russian Leg Sweep? They really could have some good character development on Raw right now if they had good writers. The thing I mentioned with people telling Punk he is their last chance, and until then, people telling Kofi he is the top dog since he holds the highest belt. Kofi is just happy-go-lucky, though, and cracks under the pressure of having to carry a show because he is not ready for that.
