    NFL Week 9

I'm so glad I'm not a Tampa Bay or Chicago fan right now...

WWE General Discussion - October 2008

John Cena is the best thing going for the WWE right now. Some of you need to get off of this workrate and mat skills shit and focus on what matters, ratings and crowd attendance. When Ken Doane and Gunner Scott (no one really gives a shit about these two) sell out arenas, then I'll change my mind. I posted that over two years ago... I'm glad I was right about that. I can't believe some people thought Ken Doane and Gunner Scott would be main eventing Wrestlemania by now...

    NFL Week 9

Predictions: N.Y. Jets at Buffalo 1:00 pm: The Buffalo Bills are pretty inconsistent this season, and are now tied with the Pats for 1st place. I think the Bills inter-division woes continue and the Jets steal this one. Detroit at Chicago 1:00 pm: Neither team is that good. I don't understand all the love for the Bears, they're in a pretty weak division and I don't think deserve the praise they get. I still think they manage to beat the Lions, but not by much. Jacksonville at Cincinnati 1:00 pm: Jacksonville isn't living up to their expectations, but they should still put it to Cincy pretty badly. Baltimore at Cleveland 1:00 pm: A tough inter-division game with both teams needing a win to stay in the hunt. The Ravens looked really well last week against Oakland and I think their success continues this week as well. Tampa Bay at Kansas City 1:00 pm: If Tampa's offense decides to show up this week, they shouldn't have much trouble with the Chiefs. Houston at Minnesota 1:00 pm: The Texans looked good last week against the Bengals, but then again, so does everyone else. The Vikings will be a bit more of a challenge, but I still think the Texans get the win here. Arizona at St. Louis 1:00 pm: This should be a high scoring game with both teams probably scoring 30+ points. I think the Cardinals win this one and continue to dominate their division. Green Bay at Tennessee 1:00 pm: Are the Titans for real? They certainly looked that way against the Colts. The Packers aren't a push over and I predict this will be a close game. With that said, I still think the Titans keep their perfect season going. Miami at Denver 4:05 pm: Denver is an example of another team who is in first place in a bad division. Miami always plays tough and I think they get the upset here. Dallas at N.Y. Giants 4:15 pm: Without Romo, this game could be a disaster for my Cowboys. If the Dallas defense plays like they did against Tampa Bay, they have a good shot at winning this one. The offense can't afford to score only one touchdown this week against NY. This is a game that could go either way. A lot of people are quick to count out the Cowboys just like they did last week, but I'm not counting them out yet. I think Dallas gets the huge upset here. Atlanta at Oakland 4:15 pm: The Falcons...another team that's confusing to analyze. One week they look great, the next, not so much. Still, they're playing a not so good Raiders team. I think Matt Ryan and the Falcons get the win here. Philadelphia at Seattle 4:15 pm: The Seahawks looked great against the Niners, but the Eagles are a much tougher team than the Niners. I'll take Philly in a rout. New England at Indianapolis 8:15 pm: NE is coming on strong and Indy is falling fast. Indy really needs to win this game in the worst way, but I don't see it happening. I see NE coming out with the win and going up to 1st place in their division. Monday, Nov. 03 Pittsburgh at Washington 8:30 pm: This is almost a repeat of last week. The Giants and Redskins are both tough opponents, although I think the Redskins have a better offense than NY. Pittsburgh's D will really be put to the test, but I still think they manage to hold off the Redskins.

Because the MATCH will be awesome, I don't care if people know Cena is winning, the match will be awesome. It's much like someone telling you the ending of a movie. If the movie is good, it will leave you in suspense and you should be on the edge of your seat. If people know Cena is going to win, then why watch? If you know how a movie will end, you can still watch, but it definitely depletes the entertainment value. In a nutshell, I just wish the WWE was a little less predictable.

Huh? He's not the one who booked the finish. Yes, he did complain recently, but guess what? Every wrestler gets burnt out and frustrated, and you can't blame him for that. What is your deal Bob? Excuse me? I'm allowed to disagree with people, it's a message board. If you really do like the WWE's current product that much, then I appologize to you. But...it seems like you're countering everyone's anti-WWE posts just for the sake of arguing. You haven't said one negative thing about the WWE's product lately, which is fine, but are you really 100% happy with what they are producing now?

I don't care if Batista won the title, I really don't, but I'm pointing out to you that the way he did it was no different than others, totally objective.

Demanding to have more when you are the most protected entertainer on RAW = Demanding the title. My bad. I didn't know you sat in on the creative meetings. If Batista bitched, and this is the result, there isn't much difference between what he did and what Hogan/Nash/HBK/HHH etc. did.

    NFL Week 8

I didn't doubt the Cowboys coming into this game, and it looks like I was justified. After one week, people start saying all sorts of nonsense. Dallas goes from a good team to a shitty team and blah blah blah. Remember, this is the NFL, any team can beat any other on any given sunday. The Lions could even beat the Titans if they played good. Don't count out a team completely just because they had a bad week, and it works both ways. A team with a good week doesn't mean anything. The Rams beat the Cowboys badly, but it doesn't mean they're up for a playoff run.

    NFL Week 6

Can you explain to me how Rivers and Rodgers are playing better than Eli Manning, Tony Romo and Brett Favre?

    NFL Week 6

    1. Who is the best QB in the league up to this point? This is a tough one. Stats are important, but if the team isn't winning games, it's hard to make a case for a QB. I'm going to have to put up a toss up between Eli and Romo. Eli has pretty much lead the Giants to a undefeated record thus far by himself. Romo has a lot of weapons on his side, especially Jason Witten, who is hands down the best TE in football right now. It's hard to take one over the other and aside from Dallas losing to Washington, both teams have played great football. 2. What the fuck happened to San Diego's running game? No Michael Turner. A change of pace back really was key to their team. Darren Sproles is good, but not as good as Turner. LT is getting older, but I don't think that is much of a factor right now. It could be a number of different things. Their O line isn't exactly impressive either. 3. Indianapolis is dead last in the league in rushing and dead last against the run. Baltimore is 4th in the league in rushing and FIRST against the run. Do the Colts need to get lucky again? I think it's still too early in the season to tell. 4. How long does Rod Marinelli keep his job? He'll keep it until the end of the season. In Detroit you certainly have to look at the players on the team as well. The team needs a complete change this upcoming off season. I expect Roy Williams to be with another team, leaving Calvin Johnson as the only bright spot. 5. Tennessee has two players with 4 INTs this year, and another with 3. By far the most in the league. Can this defense carry them into the playoffs and win there? You could certainly make a case for the Titans, but their schedule up until now hasn't exactly been difficult. Their season will get tougher after their upcoming bye week playing the likes of the Bears, Colts, Packers, Steelers etc. We'll see how they hold up.

    EliteXC: Heat

So Kimbo is supposed to fight Shamrock, and then loses to fucking Goldust. Where does Kimbo go from here? I'd like to see Wildman Marc Mero and Kimbo Slice in a WWF Brawl for All.

    NFL Week 5

Tennesee 13 Baltimore 10 - I didn't really have an opinion going into this game. I know both teams are good and Tennesee is looking to be the real deal. I'm not sold on them completely, but they're definitely on the right track. Carolina 34 Kansas City 0 - I didn't expect this much of an ass kicking. I thought the Chiefs would be playing with some sort of motivation and life after last week's win at Denver. I thought the Chiefs would lose a close game, but nothing like this. Chicago 34 Detroit 7 - Same situation as the game above. I know Detroit isn't good, but neither is Chicago. I think that with Green Bay being okay at best right now, I think the NFC North just may be the weakest division in football. I don't think this game showed that Chicago was good, I think it just showed just how bad the Lions are. Atlanta 27 Green Bay 24 - I don't know what happened here. I thought the Falcons were only good against shitty teams, but beating an okay Green Bay team is impressive. Indianapolis 31 Houston 27 - The Colts won, but this game didn't suprise me. I was expecting the Texans to play a great game. Regardless of their record, I think that the Texans are a much better team than St. Louis, KC, Minnesota, Cincinatti, Detroit, Cleveland, and the other bottom teams. Miami 17 San Diego 10 - I hope some of the hype of the San Diego Chargers can go away. I'm not jumping on the Miami bandwagon by any means, but San Diego isn't a top notch team. NY Giants 44 Seattle 6 - Wow, this was an impressive victory. I hate the Giants, but this was a game that will definitely turn a lot of heads. Being the defending Super Bowl champs means you're good, but I didn't think the Giants would manhandle the Seahawks like this. Washington 23 Philly 17 - Being a Cowboys fan, I wanted to see the Redskins lose to separate them a little bit from the Cowboys, but they took it to Dallas last week and Philly this week. The Redskins are for real. The NFC East might have the top three teams in the NFC and possibly the NFL. Denver 16 Tampa Bay 13 - Both teams came in with a 3-1 record, but I don't think either team as their record implies. Denver edged out the Bucs in a game that was pretty much a toss up. Arizona 41 Buffalo 17 - Just like Kimbo Slice, I think the Bills have been exposed as being overrated. The Bills aren't bad by any means, but the only impressive win that they have had is over the Jags. I still think the Bills make the playoffs, but today a good Cardinals team had their number. Dallas 31 Cincinatti 22 - Pretty much what I expected. Everyone was certain that Dallas would win, but a lot of people thought it would be a romp. Remember that Cincinatti took the Giants into OT last week so it's known that they play hard. The Cowboys looked impressive in that win over a pretty tough Cincinatti team, although their record wouldn't say that. New England 30 San Francisco 21 - I know that the Pats are still a good team without Tom Brady. The Niners are a good team too, but the Pats got the best of them today. I think if both teams at their current state, played each other 10 times, I think both teams win 5. Pretty even match up here. O'Sullivan looked good despite those 3 INTs. Pittsburgh 26 Jacksonville 21 - This was a game that I though Jacksonville would take, but I guess I was wrong. I think the Steelers will run away with their division. Baltimore will fall apart and the other two teams are pretty much done. Minnesota vs New Orleans - This game could go either way. I'm going to take the Saints just because of how much yardage Drew Brees puts up each week.

    WWE No Mercy 2008

Some of you are unbelievable... A few years the trend was hating John Cena and everything the WWE is about Now the trend is apparently liking every single aspect of the WWE programming... I didn't watch the show and I'm glad that I didn't. By the reactions that the show got, and seeing you guys react this enthusiastically to the last couple of months of Raw and Smackdown, it's kind of clear that I wouldn't enjoy this.

    WWE Raw - September 29, 2008

There is nothing "Vanilla" about any of those guys, also the last thing SD needs is another heel. Actually, with the exception of Orton, all of those other guys are pretty generic.

WWE General Discussion - September 2008

If the WWE's ratings are anything like our economy, I wonder what Vince's bailout plan will be. Probably numerous Steve Austin appearances and DX One night only returns. But seriously, I think the WWE is simply missing compelling storylines. Aside from Jericho and Michaels, I can't really think of a storyline that is even remotely interesting. Any storylines that they do come up with are just axed in a week or two. It doesn't add anything to the matches. The matches are just...matches...and not a lot of people give a fuck about matches that they know are scripted anyway. Viewers watch for the entertainment aspect.

    WWE Raw - September 22, 2008

    Who?
  19. Wally Balls

    Face of the Franchise

Truth, no need to appologize. It's all good. I can't understand how more people aren't behind Austin as the face of the franchise. He drew money and ratings that will probably never be rivaled. Not to mention, Austin pretty much brought the WWF into the mainstream. I remember back when I was in 6th or 7th grade, everyone who knew about Austin and Rock and everyone talked about Raw and Smackdown. Today, the WWE has faded away and has lost a lot of the viewers that Rock and Austin have brought in. The ratings alone are enough to defend that. If you're losing ratings, then you're losing viewers, so it's hard to say that ratings aren't important.

Yes, but I find the product now to be abysmal. Doesn't mean I'm a moron.

Like I said before... Ric Flair has said it's Austin, not Hogan. But based on the fact that Ric has been around this most of his life, I'm going to say that it's Austin too.

    WWE Raw - September 15, 2008

I don't know man. It just seems natural that a show aimed at a younger audience would lose older viewers. It's turning into WWE Power Rangers. I agree that 2003-2004, a few things aside, like Heel Rock, were dreadful. That was the point in time when I really stopped watching. I started watching again when Cena came to Raw. At least the show had some sort of edge to it. There's only so much that just matches can do for me. They might be good matches, but I also need T.V. I think WWE is missing the E, in the entertainment aspect. There aren't really any angles that I can think of, aside from Michaels and Jericho. And others don't last long at all.
  25. Wally Balls

    Face of the Franchise

Or maybe...just maybe...people don't find the product entertaining. After all, it's not like your thoughts are universal with everyone elses.
