    Worst Song(s) of 2006

I've come to the conclusion that most people here don't like stuff that is popular (That's probably my main problem to begin with) I actually grew to like "Fergalicious" but "London Bridge" does wear on you after a while "Sexyback" kinda wears on you too, but it's not that bad. My mom bought me the album and I think it's pretty good I can usually tolerate Nickelback, but "Far Away" just crossed the line I love Gwen Stefani, but I'm kinda lost on "Wind It Up" and the rest of her album I generally hate emo music but I've found that I kinda like Panic at the Disco Jay-Z is my favorite rapper so there might be a little bias but I don't think "Kingdom Come" and its singles are as bad as people are making them out to be I think I just look at music more often from "fun party mode" than "serious pay attention to the lyrics" mode

Unless I'm the one with them EDIT: I have them in the first TSM league but inconsistencies at QB and WR prevented me from the 1st place(although I did have the most points during the regular season)

    NFL Week 17

NY Giants (7-8) at Washington (5-10): Betts racks up another 100+ yd game as Washington puts the Giants out of their misery Seattle (8-7) at Tampa Bay (4-11): The Bucs are scoring more with Rattay, but I still don't think they'll beat Seattle St. Louis (7-8) at Minnesota (6-9): Rams will put up points indoors Carolina (7-8) at New Orleans (10-5): Saints in a blowout Oakland (2-13) at NY Jets (9-6): It would be awesome to see the upset but it probably won't happen Detroit (2-13) at Dallas (9-6): Closer than expected, but Lions will find another creative way to lose Pittsburgh (7-8) at Cincinnati (8-7): Bengals did have a heartbreaker last week but the Steelers got their shit kicked in last week at home Cleveland (4-11) at Houston (5-10): Ken Dorsey is starting for the Browns this week New England (11-4) at Tennessee (8-7): VY's magic continues though they probably still won't make it Jacksonville (8-7) at Kansas City (8-7): Jags just befuddle the human mind Miami (6-9) at Indianapolis (11-4): Ronnie Brown will still get his despite the loss San Francisco (6-9) at Denver (9-6): If San Fran was still alive, I might have picked them Buffalo (7-8) at Baltimore (12-3): Ravens are focused and on a mission Atlanta (7-8) at Philadelphia (9-6): I keep waiting for Atlanta to turn the corner but it hasn't happened. What happened to Warrick Dunn? Arizona (5-10) at San Diego (13-2): We might see a huge game from Michael "The Burner" Turner here Green Bay (7-8) at Chicago (13-2): I wouldn't be shocked to see GB win. I also wouldn't be surprised to see a defensive TD by the Bears here

I would've beat Flying Dutchmen if I had kept Kitna and started him. I got rid of him cause he was on the verge of costing me games. Damn Lions always find a way to screw up.

    Top 10 Albums of 2006

Alright I don't know 90% of these people. I know most of the rap artists and a few of the others. What type of music do some of these other artists do? Are these "underground" albums? My musical tastes don't appear to be sophisticated enough at this point...

    James Brown Dead

Just read it on Yahoo. Man that sucks. 'Godfather of Soul' James Brown dies By GREG BLUESTEIN, Associated Press Writer 4 minutes ago ATLANTA - James Brown, the legendary singer known as the "Godfather of Soul," has died, his agent said early Monday. He was 73. ADVERTISEMENT Brown was hospitalized with pneumonia on Sunday at Emory Crawford Long Hospital and died around 1:45 a.m. Monday, said his agent, Frank Copsidas of Intrigue Music. Longtime friend Charles Bobbit was by his side, he said. Copsidas said Brown's family was being notified of his death and that the cause was still uncertain. "We really don't know at this point what he died of," he said. Along with Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan and a handful of others, Brown was one of the major musical influences of the past 50 years. At least one generation idolized him, and sometimes openly copied him. His rapid-footed dancing inspired Mick Jagger and Michael Jackson among others. Songs such as David Bowie's "Fame," Prince's "Kiss," George Clinton's "Atomic Dog" and Sly and the Family Stone's "Sing a Simple Song" were clearly based on Brown's rhythms and vocal style. If Brown's claim to the invention of soul can be challenged by fans of Ray Charles and Sam Cooke, then his rights to the genres of rap, disco and funk are beyond question. He was to rhythm and dance music what Dylan was to lyrics: the unchallenged popular innovator. "James presented obviously the best grooves," rapper Chuck D of Public Enemy once told The Associated Press. "To this day, there has been no one near as funky. No one's coming even close." His hit singles include such classics as "Out of Sight," "(Get Up I Feel Like Being a) Sex Machine," "I Got You (I Feel Good)" and "Say It Out Loud — I'm Black and I'm Proud," a landmark 1968 statement of racial pride. "I clearly remember we were calling ourselves colored, and after the song, we were calling ourselves black," said in a 2003 Associated Press interview. "The song showed even people to that day that lyrics and music and a song can change society." He won a Grammy award for lifetime achievement in 1992, as well as Grammys in 1965 for "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" (best R&B recording) and for "Living In America" in 1987 (best R&B vocal performance, male.) He was one of the initial artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, along with Presley, Chuck Berry and other founding fathers. He triumphed despite an often unhappy personal life. Brown, who lived in Beech Island near the Georgia line, spent more than two years in a South Carolina prison for aggravated assault and failing to stop for a police officer. After his release on in 1991, Brown said he wanted to "try to straighten out" rock music. From the 1950s, when Brown had his first R&B hit, "Please, Please, Please" in 1956, through the mid-1970s, Brown went on a frenzy of cross-country tours, concerts and new songs. He earned the nickname "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business." With his tight pants, shimmering feet, eye makeup and outrageous hair, Brown set the stage for younger stars such as Michael Jackson and Prince. In 1986, he was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And rap stars of recent years overwhelmingly have borrowed his lyrics with a digital technique called sampling. Brown's work has been replayed by the Fat Boys, Ice-T, Public Enemy and a host of other rappers. "The music out there is only as good as my last record," Brown joked in a 1989 interview with Rolling Stone magazine. "Disco is James Brown, hip-hop is James Brown, rap is James Brown; you know what I'm saying? You hear all the rappers, 90 percent of their music is me," he told the AP in 2003.

    NFL Week 16

I picked 8 right here's some other thoughts: Lions make it interesting and fuck it up in the end as usual. BMW(Big Mike Williams for those who don't know) drops 5 passes, including the potential GW one. He's outta here With 12 sacks, Mark Anderson might beat out Demeco Ryans for Defensive ROTY Colts are D-O-N-E Coughlin and Mora could be done too as their teams got curb-stomped at home in must-win situations I would love to see the Titans in the playoffs even though it's a longshot as another shot to the VY doubters MJD is my Offensive ROTY Reggie decided to play like a RB for once instead of a WR Steve Smith has no receptions and the Panthers win? What has the world come to? I know a lot of teams have blown opportunities this season(Jags), but San Fran should really be kicking themselves in the ass right now for losing to Arizona twice and GB once this season
  11. That was the move I had in mind Someone's probably already done this, but how about a reverse figure-four, where the opponent is on his stomach instead of his back? Double team idea: One guy has the opponent on his shoulders, the other does a moonsault off the top turnbuckle and gives the opponent a neckbreaker(reverse DDT?) as his partner falls back. Since the moonsault guy would have to have some serious ups, it might be easier to do it off a ladder or cage. Also, it might never be allowed to happen, but how about an aireal move off of the Hell In A Cell onto someone layed out on the Spanish announce table?

Yeah, I was still a mark then and was a huge Team Xtreme fan so I was extra pissed.

    Best beatdowns

Not really a beatdown, but it was funny as hell watching Big Show swing Rey Mysterio in the stretcher like a baseball bat into the ringpost at Backlash a couple years ago.

    Best Games of 2006

In addition to the ones mentioned: Game 4-Tigers/A's (Maggs' walkoff was probably one of the top 5 Detroit sports moments in my lifetime) Women's CBB final-Maryland/Duke Sugar Bowl-Georgia/WV That Dodgers 4-HR game (even though most of us couldn't see the game live) EDIT: That Texas/Tennessee game yesterday was mighty good too

    NFL Week 15

Well, I lost one fantasy matchup b/c Palmer/85 came up small against Shayne Graham with me up a point. This would be a moot point if I hadn't taken some bad advice and started Coles instead of Henderson. On the other hand, I came back from 19 down in another league b/c of Harrison.

    NFL Week 15

A few notes: -I picked 8 outta 15 right, including Philly. -Like cabbageboy, I keep thinking the Vikings are better than they are. I mean, they can run the ball and stop the run. WTF? -I wonder what the Titans record would be if VY had started from the beginning. Also, Pacman has put together a pretty nice year. -Even with the missing players, how the hell does Chicago give up 31 to Tampa Bay? -Carolina's just sad -Is this the J.P. Losman we should expect from here on out? -FIRE MILLEN!!!!!
