I think Ryan joins up and maybe one other Scranton person (Stanley?). I think Michael is actually able to woo one or two loyal clients and DM panics and buys out his company and gives him his job back. I am thinking a lot of the Scott company growth happens in between seasons and when they come back next year, he is somewhat successful on a minor level and then the buyout happens.

What ended the Late 90's Pro Wrestling Boom?
Bigelow34 replied to Ed Wood Caulfield's topic in General Wrestling
I think the AOL/Time Warner merger was a huge blow. If Turner maintained control of his company, he would never have pulled the plug on WCW. Even if their product was waning, there would still be competition, a place for guys to go and the chances that one of the two promotions would rise up and fall into something like they did in the 90s are higher than they are with just one major company that can eschew and use up talent at will knowing that if they quit/leave there is nowhere prominent for them to go. -
I wouldn't say he is bad...just really lonley and insecure and is ignorant to the fallout of his obsession with being loved and accepted.

If you have Universal HD, ECW airs twice on Saturday nights, alternating with Raw. I believe they run from like 8-2.

I loved Striker's deadpan comment to The Grish when he said the only Spanish he knew was something about a burrito. Striker: "Condescending AND ignorant!" I was laughing for a few minutes over his delivery.

The chase and build up was weak but the brawl itself was actually pretty good, I thought.

Season Six was definitely my favorite. Every episode was tremendous and the Blacks were great, especially Leon! Joe Pepitone up in this mother fucker!

I read that filming started in December. I have no idea when they start airing though. I read Entourage should be back mid-year. Maybe Curb starts in September?

Yes! This should be awesome. Are the Blacks coming back? Or is that going to be forgotten and Cheryl is back?

The WM switch was definitely a rumor that started swirling. I remember it being reported on the local newspaper info line I would call for news. Sushi-X may have tossed it out there too. Seemed plausible the night after the Rumble with the Tyson/Austin throwdown. What does everyone think? Would that show have been as meaningful or important if they went the alternate route and Tyson was able to wrestle and take on Austin? Or did they get enough mainstream coverage with Tyson just being involved, allowing them to have a mega moment for Austin's first title win.

I think MITB will be pretty good if Kofi and Bourne are the last two in. Not sure where that leaves Kozlov, but he doesn't have to be on the show, right? He could win the pre-show battle royal.

I used to love watching Saturday Night as I either got ready to go out in high school or was settling in for a night at home. I definitely miss great WCW Saturday evening wrestling.

I used to read OO regularly but it got so negative and bitter that I finally just gave it up. The Rick started focusing in on this weir irrational hate of Randy Orton that permeated everything and I just tired of reading it. I can't believe the Cena stuff still goes on there too.

It was really sad watching Schiavone slowly deteriorate into a shell of himself by those last few years. Even on these 1997 Nitros, he is still pretty good despite the over hyping. But by 1999, his soul was ripped out and he just so horrible. I mean, I can't blame him but it is amazing that they totally ruined a really good PBP man with the nonsense they pumped out each week. Same goes for Heenan.
