  1. Do you think MLB should consider raising the pitcher's mound?
  2. I remember back in the day getting a free copy of Dragon Warrior for renewing my Nintendo Power subscription. That was cool.
  3. I realize a lot could happen between now and December, but will this be a showcase for the WWE midcard rejects like Test and Holly or will they allow some ECW originals on the card like ONS 1&2?
  4. I'm about 2 miles from there. Knoebels is definitely cheap with the free admission and parking. I believe that weekend is the last of the season, except for the Covered Bridge Festival later in the fall.
  5. For a WWE product, its been damn fine. Watch One Night Stand 2005 and then watch ECW on SCI-FI. Is the WWE product still "damn fine"?
  6. Phillies acquire Jose Hernandez from the Pirates.
  7. Hardcore Holly goes to ECW. Ohhh, I get it. He's Hardcore!
  8. In addition to competition, I think the current booking philosophies need to change. - The storylines have no conclusion whatsoever. It's an exchange of victories so that both characters are protected. These wins are rarely ever clean. The fueds are not blown off. - Wrestlers need the creative freedom to portray characters closer to their own actual personalities. It wasn't until Austin, Rock, Foley, HHH moved away from their characters that they actually got over with the fans. Vince may call this "Attitude" but I'd consider it more of performers being given more free reign. Just look at the scripted promos and how boring they've become. - The fueds should be planned out with some degree of longterm ideas in mind. It took Charlie Haas accidentally knocking Lillian off the ring for him to get anything remotely resembling a storyline for himself. Random fueds have really hurt the general fan's interest in wrestling. - Once the booking plans have been set, certain wrestlers need to be kept apart from each other. Random tag team main events have a use, but it's become overdone. The exciting feeling of two people wrestling for the first time is gone.
  9. I think he should demand a trade before he's killed playing the outfield for the Phils. I wouldn't be too upset if he got traded. Granted, he's become a hard-working hero in the eyes of the fans, but he's really only a .260 hitter. I don't see the team trading him, as it would be a PR nightmare, but I'm not worried about Victorino playing CF for the remainder of the season. What does worry me is that the Phils desperately need some guys off the bench.
  10. Rowand is out for 4-6 weeks. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2557309
  11. I'm hoping Nitro helps give some sort of explanation here. He's just sorta sat around while his woman got involved with her friend's business the past few months. His point of view may change my opinion on the storyline thus far.
  12. No need to remind Phillies fans of this. Our stretch has lasted how many years now?
  13. I could see him getting into acting. He's not bad on the mic and Hollywood could always use a new Arab bad guy for cheesy action films.
  14. That's a nice deal for including shipping costs.
  15. Great, now we get Kruk talking about golf.
  16. Rice had some good years with the Raiders, but he is a 49er. Good move for everyone involved.
  17. I'm interested in seeing how Jarrett defends himself and the business. I don't think it would be too difficult to argue against the pro wrestling study.
  18. One of the announcers said Ponson was DFA. Did anyone else catch that?
  19. He wasn't much of a hitter as a Phillie. That's why he was replaced by a 33 year old rookie.
  20. College kids whine about being poor but have no problem paying $5 for a cup of coffee.
  21. Why is that, Al? I think it's a cheap method to enhance gate receipts while inconveniencing the fans, players and staff. It ruins one of the more enjoyable events (a straight doubleheader), and the only people that benefit are the owners. Yeah, I agree. Although it does help solve a situation where a game is rained out early in the season.
  22. His look was the only thing he had going for him. I'd say he IS a lost cause. His look is what got him his spot on Raw. Maybe he can get some training to actually work a decent match. At his age, he's shouldn't be completely written off as worthless.
  23. Ditto. This is the best movie since Commando.
  24. I'd say dying before his 40th birthday is more of a career killer. He's still young enough that he can actually learn how to wrestle now. His character can still be cocky. He's not a lost cause.
