As scary as this sounds, Michael Cole is the second best broadcaster in wrestling right now. While Cole still has a long way to go before reaching the level of Jim Ross, those who like to bash him time after time most likely either have some insanely high standards or love to regurgitate two year old rasslin' analysis that their favorite net-dweeb fed them, because Cole is money these days. Tazz is improving by leaps and bounds as well and is EASILY a better color man than Jerry Lawler at this point in my opinion. Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler were said to be upset about recently being asked to share pay-per-view airtime with Cole and Tazz, something that I don't entirely understand. It seems as though the Smackdown commentary team would be much more qualified to fully explain the background circumstances leading to the Smackdown brand matches as would the Raw broadcast team be better for calling their own action. Could it be that Ross and Lawler are paranoid about losing their positions? I highly doubt it as Ross has a job with World Wrestling Entertainment for the rest of his life if he wants it most likely. While both commentating teams have strengths and weaknesses, I would actually peg Cole and Tazz as the superior team at this point as their approach is fresh, they don't have their obvious favorites and they combine the perfect blend of humor, build and analysis through their time in the booth.
