Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Who don't you like in the whole world of sports? Teams, coaches, GMs, players, announcers. Whose the team you always root against? Mine are: The Yankees - I hate the Yankees because of the whole "buying every player" thing, but I hold a certain amount of respect for the fact they just play baseball. No names on the uniforms, no whining. But Roger Clemens has sold his soul, Andy Pettite looks like and is the devil, and I would cry if I ever met Joe Torre in a back alley. The Lakers - Not really hating the Lakers as much as I hate Shaq. He's fat. Every move to the basket he makes is an offensive foul. I didn't really hate Kobe til the All-Star game, at which point he took about 30 shots. No wonder he got MVP. Pass the ball, junior. I feel like sending him a copy of the old Nike fun police commercial. But yet again, these guys don't whine. Probably because they get all the calls, but I digress. Florida State football - I'm a big, big PSU fan, and Bowden is like the anti-Joe Pa. I just don't like em. C-Webb - Made for an interesting WCF, with C-Webb trying to get rid of the ball as fast as he could. The Jets - As a Dolphin fan all my life, hearing the "J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS" chant actually puts me to tears at times. When they were chanting "N-E-T-S NETS NETS NETS" during the ECF, I about had a seizure. Do you know how hard it is to watch a game where you hate both teams? I actually was cheering for the Lakers in the end. The Kings just whine too much, though I like Bibby, Vlade and Peja. Doug Christie just scares me. There's quite a few more, but I'll list em later after you folks drop some of yours.

Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted August 19, 2002 UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA GATORS - I am a diehard Tennessee fan, and us folk are bred to hate anything in Blue and Orange. Imagine my chagrin that my high school had these colors and the coaches of the football team idolize Spurrier. You have no clue how great it felt that we beat them last year, despite being 19 point underdogs. What kind of crap was that anyway? We were 4th, they were 2nd. That doesn't translate into a +19 difference. WASHINGTON REDSKINS - Petty I know, but where Spurrier goes, my hatred follows. Pity too, I kinda liked Washington. Like a Tennessee shirt says: "Will Rogers said he never met a man he didn't like. He never met Steve Spurrier!" MINNESOTA VIKINGS - I'm also a diehard Green Bay Packer fan, and when I first started paying attention to football was right before Randy Moss showed up. They just pissed me off to no end, because their offense was so good, they didn't need defense to win games that year they went 15-1. Their offense was just that damn good, and it irked the shit out of me when they'd trot into Lambeau and smoke our secondary for eight million yards in the air, get negative rushing yards(because Gilbert Brown is a human wall, literally), no defensive support, yet still win in the end. I think those are the ones I really can't stand. I may think of more later. I really do like almost every team, but the ones I don't like, I HATE. Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted August 19, 2002 New York Yankees-I'm a Boston Red Sox Fan, no explanation needed New York Jets-Screw Bill Parcells and screw the Jets for stealing Curtis Martin from us. Sacramento Kings-They whine way too much for my liking during the WCF.

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 19, 2002 The Devils aren't heels- they're more tweeners. I don't see how the Jets "stole" Curtis Martin. They had to give the Pats a first round pick. Not Parcells fault they drafted someone shitty.
Guest Karnage Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Gary Bettman for some odd reason.
Guest Strike Force! Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Sports heels- Donald Fehr The University of Texas athletic program Bud Selig Barry Bonds Randy Moss Terrell Owens Rick Neuheisel 90% of NBA players Philly fans Ray Lewis Bill Walton (heel announcer) Phill Mickelson (slowly turning heel) Colin Montgomerie Mike Tyson Don King Roy Kramer Steve Spurrier All of these are not necessarily teams or players I dislike..it's just players or teams or commissioners that are viewed as heels by fans and media or have heelish personas. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Well I think Bob Clarke is one of the biggest heels in sports. Is Scott Neidermayer the sympathetic face?
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted August 19, 2002 I think Bob Clarke is a heel, too. Ed Snider has got to realize they won't win a Cup w/ his "adopted son" Clarke as GM. I still like Eric Lindros, though.

Guest Mad the Swine Report post Posted August 19, 2002 1. Georgia Tech -- I bet you can guess that I love UGA. 2. Tennessee -- and I don't like Philip Fullmer, either. 3. Bobby Valentine -- he was funny once; he wore that fake nose and moustache after getting kicked out once. 4. Yankees -- the way they win every year by buying out the good of the crummy AL teams. 5. Alan Iverson 6. Shaquille O'Neal 7. Deion Sanders 8. Barry Bonds 9. Roger Clemens -- whom I'd dislike if he wasn't a Yankee 10. Steve Spurrier

Iverson has gone from tweener to heel. Deion Sanders is a face. Yeah, he's goofy, but he's not a bad guy. Good call on Clemens. He's a sports heel.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted August 19, 2002 I'll just do hockey, as the other 3 "Big Four" are fairly well covered... - It pains me to see it, but my Maple Leafs are heels to about 70% of Canadians outside of Southern Ontario. But they'll come around. - Out of the Leafs, Tie Domi especially. It happens when you're a thug. - Bryan Marchment. You think HHH can use the knee? Check this guy out. - Bobby Clarke. I dunno what it is about him, but his trying to bury Lindros didn't help. - Theo Fleury. This guy is an annoying pest who seemingly always manages to get a cheapshot in. Even more annoying - he GETS AWAY with it. - Gary Bettman. Just because. - Claude Lemieux. This is local to Detroit, but he STILL gets heat there even though that Draper thing happened, what, 7-8 years ago?
Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Report post Posted August 19, 2002 Starvenger quotes Simmons in his signature. Starvenger = God When's Simmons going to get to be the "Good Five Minutes" on PTI!?! We need to see that. We must see that. I can't stress that enough. I think Sergio and Phil would make good heels. Sergio showed flashes of it, ripping about how play would of been called if he'd been out there. Then the reporter called him "Tiger". You couldn't of scripted that better. The he had to go and apologize. Mike Martz is a good sports heel, too. Brain Billick as well. Can't you see them sitting in a dark cantina plotting evilly? Guest Rabbi_wilson13 Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I'm going to once again agree with Bob. With the evil Boston fans going against him and his wife, they rallied together. Plus I got a sweet spot for any point guard that can take a bunch of losers and turn them into one helluva team.

Guest imajackoff? Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Jeff Fisher Im a Ravens fan. The realigning of divisions puts an end to a Titans/Ravens rivalry that was just starting to flourish. Fisher was the biggest whiner, but managed to hide behind a facade of "classiness". Plus, the dude looks like he should be managing a Domino's Pizza. Kobe Bryant I hate the NBA. I hate Bryant purely out of jelousy though. He's so young, rich, talented and from what I hear, he had sex with Brandy. Damn him. The St. Louis Rams I dont like the way they play the game. They play this hap-hazard style that seems to be predicated on the fact that they are so good that they can get away with it (i.e. buring time outs and replay challenges unnecessarily). Guest alkeiper Report post Posted August 20, 2002 Any sportswriter who says baseball "needs to be more like the NFL." A local columnist stated that baseball should expand the playoffs. Really.
Guest Strike Force! Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I can't believe I forgot Brian Billick. He's a monster heel. The media doesn't even try to hide its hatred for that guy.
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted August 20, 2002 I think Jason Kidd turned face last year- He's like Nikita Koloff Maybe, but he's still a wife beater, you can't really argue against that. If he played in Boston I might change my opinion of him though.

Just the way he acts, I hate him -Clemens. He was my favorite player growing up, but times change. -The NFL. In general. I hate football, I hate everything about it. -ESPN baseball programming. Braves, Cardinals, Cubs, Giants, Yankees, Mets. Apparently, these are the only teams in baseball if ESPN is in charge.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Report post Posted August 21, 2002 Might as well chime in... LA Lakers: Any team that has Rick Fox on their roster automatically become heels to me. Tennessee Titans: Mostly because of Jeff Fisher's whiny, bitch ass. University of Tennessee: Let's see... Me = Bama fan, so they = enemy. And I just outright hate Fulmer, too. Auburn Tigers: I'm a friggin' BAMA fan, so you figure it out. University of Nebraska: This is pretty much the one college team I hate the most except for when they beat the ever-loving shit out of Tennessee a while back. NY sports teams in general: Granted, I'm a huge Curtis Martin fan, but dammit, I just can't stand when some of the NY bandwagon riders start spewing about how they are so much better than everyone else, especially the wagon-riding Yankee fans. The REAL Yankee fans don't irritate me at all. Oh, and Allan Houston is an overpaid piece of garbage. Deion Sanders: While he was a great cover corner, I just couldn't wait for when he'd try and "tackle" a running back and look like the world's biggest pussy.
