Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 I just told you that Undertaker fans are in mass at every live event across the country. Bubba Ray and Spike and Bradshaw get cheers, they don't get massive eruptions. There are not seas of Bubba Ray and Spike T-shirts like there are Deadman Inc. shirts. In 2002, Undertaker is a big draw...deal with it.
Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 And while you are at it, deal with the fact that Chris Benoit enters the ring to dead silence. You guys always call Brock the heatless wonder, well how about Benoit? Huh?
Guest CanadianChick Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Out of curiousit Hoss sauce, who many live events do you go to?
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Undertaker's Title reign in 97 seem a little more than Weak... Lasting For a good couple of Months... About the same when he Got the title this last time 3-4 Months. He broke the Undisputed Title curse of Dropping after the first month of taking it.
Guest CanadianChick Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 And while you are at it, deal with the fact that Chris Benoit enters the ring to dead silence. You guys always call Brock the heatless wonder, well how about Benoit? Huh? No one has ever said that he gets a lot of heat. People say that he is a good-great wrestler.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 You say that as if Benoit has always came to the ring with a silent crowd. It might have something to do with the fact that he isn't booked strong.
Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Hey, if they are gonna criticize Brock for being "heatless", I'm gonna criticize Benoit for it too. Fair is fair.
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 I don't agree with that... Chris Benoit does get his Pop from the crowd. People appreciate his work, thats a Understatement given the Holy Shrines to Benoit that is on this forum. Next people will be sacrificing Cyber Lambs to his glory. Benoit Is a Awesome wrestler. Just being fair here.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 When did I say Brock was heatless? Benoit got big pops as a face in 2001 in WWF, and throughout his career elsewhere. He has also go big heel heat too. At the minute he isn't particularly over, but he isn't heatless either.
Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 This board is making me hate Benoit. I used to enjoy him a lot.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Brock is booked to look liek a main eventer. They've given him feuds and character motivation. Benoit has neither, and still gets more heat than Brock. I defend Brock all the time, but both nights in Seattle Brock wasn't nearly as over as Benoit. Plus, how much longer has Brock been around than Benoit been back.
Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Benoit has neither, and still gets more heat than Brock. Bull-fuckin'-shit, dude. I got two words for ya: Miracle Ear.
Guest CanadianChick Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 This board is making me hate Benoit. I used to enjoy him a lot. Because people like him?okay...
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Best Benoit moment in memory for me was when he was kicking the crap out of Al Snow in ECW's Double tables he turns to the crowd and shouts is this the Best America Has to offer! If he went with the Unamericans as its leader, he probably have enough clout in the group to make it major, hell maybe he'd finally get his World title push he deserves.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 This board is making me hate Benoit. I used to enjoy him a lot. Why be bothered about what people or the internet say? I say Benoit is an awesome wrestler, because I think its true. Same as a lot of other people. His talent is often wasted in the WWE.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Anyways, he just sidetracked the conversation. anyone have Meltzer's number, since it's the only concrete information anyone has right now. That and buyrate numbers.
Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 The problem is, there are too many people who hate the WWE and hate the WWE style and hate the WWE hosses posting in the WWE forum. If you don't like it, go back to the puro forum. You don't see me "invading" the puro forum with snide comments.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 In 2002, Undertaker is a big draw...deal with it. I find it hard to believe 20,000+ people buy tickets to go to Raw/PPV's on the sole basis of seeing UT. And while you are at it, deal with the fact that Chris Benoit enters the ring to dead silence. You guys always call Brock the heatless wonder, well how about Benoit? Huh? I couldn't really care less how much heat Benoit does or does not draw. I enjoy his work 100x more than UT's.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Yeah, and why do you think they had Rock come back so soon? I can't POSSIBLY see Taker winning the belt for a month and jobbing it to Lesnar the way Rock did. For that matter, can you see either of the two "Main Eventers"..HHH or Taker doing that? Hell no! Why are the ratings so much lower? It's the same people that were there in 98-2000. Almost the exact same bunch. Just now, it's Taker/HHH/Lesnar. Rock is gone, Austin's gone, and there are no "new stars". It's guys like Taker who absolutely BURIED the WCW people during the invasion. I still resent that. No matter what the writers say, or the bookers say, a "locker room leader" would have had the GUTS to say "Well, it's not a good buisness decision to put Sara over DDP.." Just NOW he decides to start making some other guys "look good". Like throwing around Jeff Hardy or Randy Orton. Nobody was shown during his reign as an equal except Rock. They were all punching bags. Taker and HHH have done nothing within recent memory to deserve this glut of TV time they're getting. HHH is about worthless, and Taker is not-so slowly breaking down. These guys should NOT be in the main events just because they have senority, or were loyal. My main gripe with the WWE is that the "ranks" aren't based on talent, or charisma, or overness. They're based on a 'good ol' boy' system. If you're a Hoss, or have a connection with somebody, you're in forever. Guys like Angle, RVD, Eddy..who busted their ass during the whole Austin debacle..get humilliated, stuck in a stagnant midcard, or job night in and night out. Or a combination of all three. Yet 'taker..who so "greatfully" decided to "elevate" guys like Jeff by working with them and beating the living crap out of them should still be in the mains? HAH! He's an attraction. Not what you want headlining your company. Remember the digs at WCW they used to so cheerfully make? "Wheel Chair Wrestling". "We'll never have old guys and people with political pull cloging up OUR main event.." Dosen't that just sound familiar? 'Taker should start laying down on his back, or just go home. Same with Hogan, Flair, or anyone that shouldn't be there. There is no longer a POINT in having Taker go over guys like Angle or RVD, who will be there after 'Taker is long gone. Or maybe they're hoping Brock Lesnar will pull the 'one man savior' act. Hardly.
Guest Brian Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 I've got two words for you too: piped heat.
Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 And I enjoy UT's work 100x more than his.
Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 I've got two words for you too: piped heat. I was at the Nassau for SummerSlam. And I got two words for ya: REAL DEAL.
Guest BionicRedneck Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 I like the WWE. I don't like the Undertaker. Do you like everything about the WWE?
Guest CanadianChick Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 I've got two words for you too: piped heat. I was at the Nassau for SummerSlam. And I got two words for ya: REAL DEAL. I've got two words for you: The Rock
Guest BionicRedneck Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 And I enjoy UT's work 100x more than his. Then as you said to me earlier: "I am afraid that you are wrong and have no gauge for wrestling ability" I enjoy alot of WWE, but the Undertaker is a has-been.
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 Me... I Watched WWF NWA UWF when I Started out, then ECW and Japanese stuff Too NWA TNA. My favorites around the world is diverse people from the likes of Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Low Ki, Hayabusa (get well Eiiji) Dragon Kid, Kobashi, Misawa Great Sasuke, Jushin Liger, BACK to Angle, Kane Tajiri, Jamie Knoble and Rey Mystero..etc etc etc And I Like the Undertaker since his appearance in 90. Its not like Im bring down every other wrestler every other style of wrestling and every other promotion..... Just like him.... And HAKU... HAKU MANIA... you know the rest.
Guest HossSauce Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 I enjoy alot of WWE, but the Undertaker is a has-been. Actually, he's the #1 contender...bitch.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted September 2, 2002 Report Posted September 2, 2002 The fact remains. Neither HHH (right now) or Taker should be in the main.
