[math nerd]If you're referring to what I think you are, the ending point of a parabola where it turns around to curve back the other way, then that's called a "vertex" in America. And the equation in that case would be y=2. [/math nerd]

Maybe that's what the Brits do, I dunno. But granted, most people, including the big Australian mathematicians call it the vertex.... Gotta love this forum And the correct answer is y= (x-1)² - 2
