LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 No Buffy on FX and a rerun on UPN. Damn I didn't get my full Buffy fix today.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Ah yes tonight was a rerun of the episode that almost gave us all a heartattack when they almost killed off Giles!
Guest Max Danger Report post Posted April 2, 2003 I just heard something on E! as I was flipping the channels... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): It appears that James Marsters(Spike) will be heading to Angel(if it isn't cancelled), when Buffy's run ends this year. So, I suppose that means he won't die. WHY do shows mention that shit? It kinda kills whatever thoughts a person was having about how they thought the show was going to end, ya know? Guess Spike isn't going to sacrifice himself. Argh! First this and now the two big bads on Angel(black chick from Firefly) and Buffy(Nathan Fillion(the captain) of Firefly), will the madness never end?
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Well that's pretty sweet though.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Yeah but that means: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): that it's probably Buffy who dies.....again.....at the end of the show since it was mentioned that the end would be sad and romantic
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): No, it won't be Buffy. I bet it will be Dawn or Xander. Like anyone will care if Dawn will die.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 2, 2003 BAH! Damn all your spoiler crap, I want to read but I'm not gonna!
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 The university paper ran a Buffy story this morning I wrote up, hyping the show itself as well as the series finale. I had e-mailed a more polished version to the section editor on Monday but she doesn't check her mail very often so... I think it works well anyway. http://www.thetartan.com/vnews/display.v/A...1/3e89dfedeebd2
Guest Max Danger Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Here's another spoiler about who's appearing on the final episode of Buffy, which isn't really a big surprise, I don't think, but it's... Angel. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): If you didn't read the first spoiler in this post, then don't read this. What I'm thinking is that Angel comes to help Buffy and all that. Remember when Buffy met the 'first watchers' or whatever? The one's who had the first Slayer? Anyway, they said she was the last protector of the Hellmouth. What I'm thinking is, when the battle ends, in order to close the Hellmouth forever(and making Sunnydale just a regular old town) she would have to give up her Slayer status and all her powers. Just become a regular girl. And then, instead of Spike dying and all that, Buffy walks away from him(and Angel). It'll be sad because you'd want her to be with one of them, right? But she'll leave Sunnydale, a regular girl, moving on with her life. I think she'd be the only person who'd be able to genuinely walk away from all the chaos and maddness, whereas the Scoobies know what's out there, they wouldn't be able to just walk away(though, I don't think Xander or Willow will join Angel in L.A.). That's just my thinking though.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 In response to what you just said Max.... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I doubt that Buffy would just walk away knowing whats out there. She would be just like Xander, still wanting to fight. Dames
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 2, 2003 To what Dames said: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I agree with Dames. Buffy will never ever stop fighting, that is the way her character is. She gave up her whole life to save the world, more then one time. She won't stop now because there is still bad out there. I honestly think Dawn is the one who is going to die, and I will cheer when it happens
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Can't you guys make a Buffy spoiler only thread
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 2, 2003 New Buffy on April 15th. So by my math it looks like that after that one there should only be one more repeat. 5 new episodes left to go. Preview for new episode (I don't consider it a spoiler since everyone already knows it, and it's in the episode discription after all) Buffy's old nemesis Faith (Eliza Dushku) returns to Sunnydale and helps the Scoobies combat an ally of the First, an evil preacher who preys on young women with a knife
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 I posted this under the Firefly thread a while back but it's worth mentioning here. The guy that played the lead role on that show will be playing the preacher. I don't consider that worthy of being called a spoiler so ... don't flame me. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted April 2, 2003 I love the fact that we have to make spoilers for spoilers now
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Faith on Buffy, I can't wait. I thought that Buffy was new on April 22nd...?
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2003 Everytime "Seeing Red" is on I have a hard time watching it. It's the only Buffy episode that's truly hard for me to watch. Everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Atleast Spike and Buffy have made up since then.
Guest Lil Naitch Report post Posted April 3, 2003 I keep missing it, and I got to see most of it tonight. Damn good episode. I so would like Tara to come back. Even if it was just The First dicking w/ Willow. Ok, bad phrasing there....
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 3, 2003 Yes, the episodes tonight were phat. I noticed that Joss didn't write the last episode, was this the first time he didn't write the last episode? I don't think he wrote any for this season, how come?
Guest fazzle Report post Posted April 3, 2003 He wrote OM,WF, but that's it. He was too busy playing around with Firefly. Great choice there Joss, it's a huge success. Edit: Unless I incorrectly read your question. From the content of the rest of the post it sounded like the question was asking about season 6.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2003 He's writing the final ep. Try imdb.com for detailed recaps of who wrote which episode.

And I was talking about season 6. I bet Firefly could of been a good show. I never watched it, but what Joss did with Buffy and Angel, he can do a lot of stuff. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2003 So is FX going to show all of Season 1 next? I haven't seen any of Season 1.
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 4, 2003 You haven't seen any of it? Well, out of all the seasons, I rank second to last next to 4. It was alright, but the show was just starting to swing through. After watching 'Two To Go' and 'Grave', this is one of my favorite final episodes. This is how I rank the season finales. 2 - Well duh, Angel/Buffy thing was just amazing, best TV ending for season ever. 6 - Evil Willow was soo cool 3 - Faith, Mayor, enough said 5 - This episode could of been made so much better 4 - Dream sequence was awesome, but didn't really end the season, just continued it for the next 1 - Didn't do much for me What about you fellas?
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2003 Since I've never seen the Season 1 finale I can't rank completely. So out of the one's I've seen: 2 5 3 6
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 4, 2003 I am thinking that 7 is going to top it all. I hope Joss writes it too.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted April 4, 2003 I thought Season 1's Prophecy Girl was great. It had all the feel of a 2hr finale crammed into 60 minutes. It developed all the characters MUCH more and was a great way to end the first season after a mere 8 weeks on the air. As far as how I would rate the season finales: 2 - Becomming Parts 1 and 2 are pheonomanal 5 - Buffy loses everything on the way to her making the ultimate sacrifice 4 - Offbeat, captivating, multi-layered, and definately kept me thinking 1 - Can be watched an appreciated by non-fans; all-inclusive episode 3 - Who doesn't want to graduate high school without a big climactic battle with vampires and a giant snake? 6 - Evil Willow was awesome Now, when I rate 3 and 6 at the bottom of the barrel DOES NOT mean I don't love those episodes. It just means, in comparison to the others, they don't hold up as well.
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 4, 2003 It is soooooo fuckin hard to rate the final episodes because all of them are so strong.
