My ex-girlfriend said the reason she "turned gay" was because of what Oz did to her. He made her so upset, she just turned against men in general.

I'd say that the fact that she's not a "man hating" lesbian would argue against that theory. Besides, when Oz came back, she still had feelings for him.

 

Willow discovered she was gay because the writers wanted her to be gay. The question is: had Seth Green not wanted to leave the show, would she have stayed with Tara and not gone back to Oz?

 

As for the ranking of the finales, I understand by "Becoming Pt. 2" gets the love it does, but I think that it's a weak story if you didn't enjoy the Buffy/Angel storyline. While I could understand what they were doing with Buffy/Angel, and I could even appreciate the skill with which they were doing it, the storyline never worked for me, and thus I don't see the finale as anything really all that special.

 

Conversely, "Graduation Day Pt. 2" had a lot fo storylines that I liked and the one I didn't (again, Buffy/Angel) wasn't at the forefront, so I thought it was a much better finale.

 

I also don't think "Restless" gets quite the respect it should. Aside from "Normal Again," it's certainly the most literary of the finales, and the one that seemed to have the most lasting effects beyond that current season. It also was a nice exploration of the character development of the Scoobies that had occurred over the past four years, and hinted at what was to come for them in future seasons. It also worked, for me, that it was anti-climactic, which fit the tone of the season.

Becoming pt 2 is far and away the best final they've done. They'll never come close to getting that kind of emotion out a season again. (and you can preach "The Body," but as a whole, season 2 had way more drama)

 

I didn't think that Much of "The Gift" cause you knew one way or the other Buffy was coming right back the very next episode. I would have rather she sat out a couple of eps, made you think maybe she wasn't coming back.

She came out as a HUGE crybaby, which you'd think would have gone away by season 6...but NO! She turned into a bigger crybaby.

 

She was a crybaby from day 1...till the last 10 minutes of season 6. Out of no where she's some badass little fighter now. And now in season 7 she's some tough little S.O.B.

 

That's just bad writing to progress a character like that.

I just watched an extra from Buffy season 3, and they said that Joss still goes over every episode and edits it.

 

I hope he still does this, even though I don't think he did with season 6.

 

Does anyone have the EW magazine in which they graded the first 100 episodes of Buffy? If so, I'd be willing to trade anything for it. I gave it to my ex before I was a fan of the show. She lost it, so if anyone has it, let me know. Thanks

It was stuck on the second night of television, Friday night.

 

Fox is just so stupid like that. They put one of there up and coming shows, Dark Angel, on Friday night. The show is aimed at young men adults, who are usually out on a Friday night. No wonder the show went down in ratings, and it got cancelled. Once I heard that, I could hear the death of the show.

 

Joss was even thinking about Buffy during Firefly. He wrote the song Anya sang for "Selfless" on the set of Firefly.

 

When Joss starts writing movies, he will be doing pretty well for himself, IMHO.
