Here's one I have been pondering for a while now (I don't read the spoilers, so I have no idea on what really happens):

Remember the prophecy from the end of Angel Season One? The Scroll of Aberjian? It stated that the vampire with the soul will fulfill his destiny and be granted human life because of it. We have two vamps with souls now, so...

One problem with that, what if you are a Buffy fan that never watches Angel, or vice versa.

The Buffy watcher will be all "What? What prophecy? Besides what does this have to do with Spike?"

While the Angel watcher will feel very, very betrayed that this major plot of the series is turned out to be a nasty swerve.

Plus we obviously don't know if the scroll was specific about HOW the vamp got the soul (born with it, cursed or wanted to get one)

Sakura, if think about it, all of the seasons have had filler episodes.

The second best season, 2, had the most filler episodes of them all. They had a good 9 episodes where Buffy was fighting a monster that didn't really fit into the storyline, but the season all fit together.

It is the same with this season, every episode has been strong EXCEPT for "Him." That was the only episode that didn't do anything for the storyline, and it just was there.

The whole thing with the Upervamps is why the SiTs are around. Buffy has an idea that she won't get through this, and needs someone who is already in training to take her place.

What the Scoobies have done in the past is fight tons of bad guys, but this one is THE BAD. They are being set up for a war, and they need all the warriors they can get. That is why Faith is here, and why Spike has his soul and is a complete good guy.

When the final episode comes, we will know how great this season is. Joss is a brilliant writer, and everything will connect by the end. I promise, he will get the job done right. It is his baby, he will end everything right.

I think Joss will end the show on a strong note. Even if it's not the way you'd want it done.

Series finals are usually iffy to begin with, but I have faith in the guy.

34 days till the end.

That's a GOOD thing. That is what season 7 is missing. Way too many episodes this season has been SITs sitting around the Summers house hyping up the battle.

It's like, I get it. A war is coming. People are going to die. Blah blah blah. Enough already. Stop stalling and get to the point.

In the past seasons they had a big storyarc going on with the season's main villain, all while Buffy fought various monsters-of-the-week. This season, outside Him, it's not like that. It's all build and hype.

For me, 3 > 2. The Buffy/Angel lost-love arc wasn't nearly as cool as the Slayer Gone Bad arc, IMO. Besides, 3 had the Mayor and Faith. I think it also had a longer string of wicked eps...I only hate one season 3 ep, and that's "Gingerbread".

It's still really close though. And right now, 7 looks to be better than both.

Season 6 had the most filler. I love 2-5 myself (YEs, even 4). I like the way they're handling season 7 for the most part.

I am not including 7 yet because we need to see all the episodes to rank it, but for me it goes:

Major spoiler for Buffy's series finale, fans of the show Angel are NOT going to like this:

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

Apparantly it looks like Spike is the "Vampire with a soul that will save the world and become human again" that was refrenced in "To Shansu In LA" back in S1.

Not be too nictpicky but itsn't this a bit too much of a cross over? I mean if you are an Angel fan not a Buffy fan you'd probably would feel slightly betrayed by Joss and the ME crew by setting up a major Angel plot point on Angel's show and then do a MAJOR swerve by making the plot about a character you don't know or care about that much (being that an Angel watcher and not a Buffy watcher wouldn't watch Buffy that often if at all)

Plus its a huge leap of faith for ME to think that just because you are a fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer you'd be enough of a fan of Angel to know that particular prophesy. It would make Spike's death at the end of the finale a little bit easier to take if you knew that he was fullfilling some sort of destiny and could still resurface if there is a new spinoff/movie or some form of Buffyverse cannon, but if you don't know it can be seen as a totally different circumstances.

All I'm saying is that ME/Joss isn't taking into account that just because someone is a fan of a show doesn't mean they are a fan of spinoffs.

Go to any Star Trek board and just see how fractured the fan base is between The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise. Many are fans of just one and hate the rest of the series. Hell M*A*S*H* is considered the greastest show of all time, AfterM*A*S*H* is considered one of the worst

I've read spoilers that completely contradict that, but oh well, different endings and all. That would be really, really stupid, though.

I can't see how this season could be compared to Seasons 2. 3 or even 4 IMO. I'm about halfway through and the series was really very good up until Conversations with Dead People. Then, we got four sodding episodes that seemed to consist of way too little plot and way too much arsing around. The whole, "Spike is a sleeper, First raises naughty mini-vamp, Irritating potentials arrive, Buffy kills naughty mini-orc-vamp" thing could have been done in two episodes. And what the fuck is this shit with Giles? Its not suspenseful, its irritating, he's so blatantly not dead. Also, what the FUCK was that eye? It looked terrible! They really didn't need to do the whole Slayers in Training thing. Too many characters, too many things to clear up at the expense of the main characters. I like the concept of the First, but they're not really having it do anything threatening. This is made worse by the fact that I watch Angel right after Buffy, so while the Buffy crew tremble and quiver at the thought of an incorporeal being and its evil midget minion, the Angel crew have to deal with the ultimate bad-ass Beast who fucks everyone's shit up, Angelus who is majorly creepy and fucks shit up, and now it seems Evil Cordy who fucks shit up. A sense of threat would be nice.

This Caleb fellow sounds interesting, though. Its just that this season of Buffy has slooowed down way too drastically to be considered on the level of earlier seasons. Still better then Season Six, though. And if it has a good ending, maybe even season 5.

And as of right now, I'd put Season 7 in between 1 and 6, but with a good ending, it could go up to above 1. I don't think I'd go above 4, but ya never know.

I guess I will know how good 7 is when it comes on either FX or DVD so I can watch them in a close amount of time and grade it better. However, I've enjoyed EVERY episode of season 7, except for "Him." If every episode entertains me and is good, then that season is pretty good.

I just watched "Amends" today when the First fucks with Angel, and I noticed something.

When "Jenny" is fucking with Angel, she touches him a few times and I believe he touches her hands back. I thought the First can't be touched or touch someone?

Other bicth? Man, that's Tech TV's Morgan Webb, a total babe. In honor of Buffy ending I switched back to Aly.

So I got the OMWF DVD from the UK today. I just watched it...what a fucking travesty.

First off, they messed up the transfer yet again! This has happened with damn near every Buffy and Angel DVD set in the UK. Despite this being the only Buffy episode to air in widescreen, it's full screen here. Not only that, but like the far right of the screen seems to be cropped because of this. I noticed this in the opening credits, as you could not see the full names of everybody ("Written and Directed By Joss Whed"). So bogus!

Now here is where it really gets good. Well, good in the sense that Fox deserves to die for this. THERE ARE NO OMWF SPECIFIC EXTRAS ON THE DISC AT ALL!!!! Yes, you read that right, there are none. This is absolutely insane, as they shot over 40 hours of behind-the-scenes footage! Not even the short little one minute promos are here.

What extras are there, you say? There is a "Buffy Behind The Music" featurette which is decent...had it not been on the freakin' Season Four DVD! This is basically music god Chris Beck talking about scoring, and then some other stuff with musical guest spots and Nerf Herder. As I said, it's decent, but kind of falls off after the Chris Beck stuff.

Trailers for all six Buffy DVD sets are included. Quality isn't very good. Humorous that the OMWF clips in the Season Six trailer are in widescreen, yet that's not the case on this DVD itself. Trailers for the first three seasons of Angel are included, as well.

At this point, I'm quite disappointed, but it gets worse. An Angel Season One overview is also on the disc. Why the hell is this on here? I guess it's somewhat understandible, but this next bit is not - one extra is an INTERVIEW WITH JESSICA ALBA ABOUT DARK ANGEL! What the fuck is this doing on a Buffy DVD, let alone an episode specific one!!!? Dark Angel has nothing to do with the Whedonverse. It's not even an ME production! This is such a pathetic attempt by Fox to put over Dark Angel, as it's also pimped in the little booklet for the DVD.

So, overall, this DVD is disgrace to the Buffyverse. No relevant extras and a shitty transfer make for one angry fan.

Cavi is too HARDCORE to wait ages like us. He needs his Buffy and he needs it right now.

And this thing must really, really, really suck for Cavi to hate on it like this.

I still don't get the Dark Angel. The show is dead....why are they $hilling it? Does it have a box sex of DVDs too or something?

If I had the income I would get all things Buffy. I'd get the U.K. stuff if it wouldn't hurt my pocket too much. Get it just for the sake of having it really.

Yeah, they advertise the Dark Angel sets in the booklet (they also have a sticker on the DVD case putting over the Alba interview). It's like an advertisment DVD for Fox's catalogue of stuff, with OMWF thrown in as a bonus.

It will be quite sad if the Season Six set doesn't have a bunch of stuff in regards to this ep.

They're selling off any show they think they can make a buck off. And Fox killed off Dark Angel. Just cause X-Files did alright Friday nights they thought other shows would too...and Fox's Friday shows die.

That is exactly what I said when they put Dark Angel on Friday nights. The main audience of that show are people who usually go out on Friday nights.

I'd rather wait for all of the DVDs to come out in the US over time, that way I can have something to look forward too.
