Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Off topic I just watched Grosse Pointe Blank earlier (John Cusack movie) and Mr. Trick from season 3 played one of the government agents/killers... That's all
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 28, 2003 Folks, The Beginning Pt 1 and 2 are on FX today. For those who haven't seen it, probably the best ending for any Buffy season, IMHO.

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 28, 2003 I'm sure he meant Becoming. I was going to watch it but I have something to do. I'll catch part 2 though.

Guest Kingpk Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I'm surprised no one has brought this up yet, but apparently Holly Valance is being looked at as a possible Buffy replacement. Former Neighbours starlet Holly Valance is being lined up to take over the role of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The Aussie beauty is said to have been singled out by the show's US makers as the ideal replacement for Sarah Michelle Gellar. Sarah said no to a seventh year as the unlikely teenage vampire killer. Ratings for the once-popular TV programme have dropped recently. But producers believe Holly has just what it takes to inject new life into the cult series, which also stars heart- throb David Boreanaz as Angel. Stunning Holly, 19, who played Flick Scully in Neighbours, went on to pop success and had a No1 hit with Kiss, Kiss last year. She is now looking for a new acting role. A source said: "Holly has been approached and is interested. She would be perfect for the role - she's sexy and energetic. "This would be a perfect way for her to break into Hollywood." But Holly's record company WEA London Records appeared in the dark over her new job. A spokesman said: "We are waiting to hear from the people who make Buffy. "I do not know anything about Holly taking over."
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Tell me she won't have the name "Buffy"...
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 That is BS. "Chosen" is in the can and the final wrap party is over. The series is done.

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Now are they talking about being Buffy in another season? or a new slayer show? That's what I got out of it
Guest Cavi Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I'm not putting much at all into that story about Holly. The series is over. Joss has said it's done and all ideas for any spin-offs are on the back burner for now. Not only that, but "Sarah said no to a seventh year" and "the cult series, which also stars heart- throb David Boreanaz as Angel" kill whatever credibility that source has. Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I still think "The Troika" is the way to go for a spin-off. Imagine it. Warren, Jonathan and Andrew traveling the country in their Death Star van fighting crime. It's gold!
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Now are they talking about being Buffy in another season? or a new slayer show? That's what I got out of it They're talking about an 8th season starting this girl. "Sarah said no to a seventh year as the unlikely teenage vampire killer. Ratings for the once-popular TV programme have dropped recently. But producers believe Holly has just what it takes to inject new life into the cult series, which also stars heart- throb David Boreanaz as Angel." This story would KIND OF be believable if they were trying to say she will appear on Angel as Buffy or be in a spin-off as Buffy. But Buffy the Vampire Slayer is over with so this is just stupid... Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Last season, last few episodes. Do you think they should have tried to get in some of the characters like Welsey, Oz, Tara, Riley, and others like them...even if only for a real small part. Or just some of the past cast. As a die hard fan I just think it would have been nice to see an old face near the end. Although Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The Mayor comes back for the next to last episode, and Clem's suppose to be in tomorrow's
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Yeah, I would. Well for some people. The First being the villain is such an awesome oppertunity to do this too. On the top of my list is Mayor Wilkins. With Faith back and him dead they have GOT to do something with him. I'd also like to see Wesley and Cordelia come back for the final battle. I haven't seen any of Angel yet, sans season 1, so I don't know if that would work out. I REALLY want to see Riley come back for the final battle. I know most people hate on him, but I think he is cool. He could bring some Initiative guys to even the odds since based on the build up and interviews the final battle is going to be very epic. Tara would be cool harassing Willow as The First. Supposedly this was planned but Amber turned it down.... As for Oz...I'd really rather not. I love the character but his exit from the show and the end of the Oz/Willow ship was so well done I really don't see a need for him to return for what would probably be a very small part. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Bleh no Riley. Marc Blucas is a horrible actor.
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I REALLY want to see Riley come back for the final battle. I know most people hate on him, but I think he is cool. He could bring some Initiative guys to even the odds since based on the build up and interviews the final battle is going to be very epic. That would be the worst idea ever. No offense, but I hate season 4 because the whole military thing was just so dumb. I believe the only reason Joss brought that in was so Spike could get the chip, slowly become a good guy, and then get his soul. Other than that, Riley did nothing good for the series, nothing at all. This is to you Youth about your spoiler tag Spoiler (Highlight to Read): That is going to great when the Mayor comes back. The First is so going to use him to fuck with Faith, and try to turn her back to the 'dark side.' He is the only person who had a big effect on her life, that we know of. Plus I LOVE the Mayor, he was the best villian of the series, IMHO.
Guest Cavi Report post Posted April 29, 2003 As Sak said, they have a huge opportunity with The First in regards to old cast members. Wilkins and Faith must have a scene together. I really wish they would have Jenny/First appear to Giles, but if it was one or the other, I'd say Wilkins would be more likely. I have had this image in my head for a while now of The First morphing into all sorts of people in the final battle - Master, Glory, Wilkins, Adam, Dru, Joyce, Angel. That would be so cool. I have been wanting Tara to appear in some form in a scene with Willow. I don't believe the bit about Amber turning down the offer, as she put over the fact that she would possibly be returning in some way this season. They still certainly have the time to do it. It would be cool to see Team Angel show up for the finale (the extendable sword Wes has is so badass), but weird at the same time, since people like Gunn and Fred have never appeared in that part of the Whedonverse. In the end, I think I just want to see Angel rather than the others. I wouldn't be against having Riley show up. It would make sense if they do the whole huge battle thing. I don't want them to throw old people into the fray just because though. If there isn't a place for them, then they should stay out. As for Oz, I agree with what Sak said. There really isn't a need or a place for him to come back. I think it wouldn't be all that meaningful in such a situation for him to return.
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Yeah, the first should turn into all of those people and fuck with Buffy. The First can't really fight her because well, the First can't fight itself. I hope that just Angel and Wes show up, but that is it. However, I bet all of them will show up, including Connor. Then we can have to of the most annoying people that Joss has created talk with eachother.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Ugh. Not sure if this is commong knowledge but.... A note for anyone not into spoilers: Don't use the quote feature. I was going to reply to the Riley hate and I caught the first part of Mole's spoilers. Anyway, I liked the Initiative stuff in season 4. Gave that season it's own little self contained story. It's like season 4 is "the initiative season". I like it when seasons are like that(like "season 6 is the depressing season. Season 5 is the Dawn season"). Guest Mole Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I thought that Adam was the worst bad guy, and wasn't even around for the finale. If the bad guy wasn't around for the finale, you know he isn't that much of a great bad guy. He ranks last out of all the bad guys, who is worse than him? Even though "Restless" was a great episode.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 That's pretty unfair. Adam wasn't in the finale because Joss wanted to do something new and something to set up season 5 for that season's finale. They still had a huge epic final battle in "Primeval" which could have easily been the finale. Fun Fact: Adam sort of IS in the finale. Remember he's with Riley in the war room scene. That said I agree Adam is probably the worst of the big bads. But this is like picking the "worst" out of 6 villains I really like. I still think Adam was pretty cool. I would rank them... 1. Angelus 2. Mayor Wilkins 3. The Master 4. Warren 5. Glory 6. Adam Can't say how The First ranks until I see how it all ends. Maybe Caleb will end up being considered the big bad. Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Adam wasn't a good big bad...but I really really liked the charcter. I thought they could have done more with it. Adam: "Scouts honor." Spike: "You're a boyscout?" Adam: *smiles* "Parts of me." I understand how Oz couldn't work into the final well (would be nice to see the character again though), but Wes, Riley, and Tara easily could fit in. Although the other Angel cast should stay out...except for Cordy but it's up in the air with what's going to happen to her anyway. And I'd have Riley on the show ANY day before Dawn. I've even come up with a new term just for Dawn..."Dawnnoying"
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Fun Fact: Adam sort of IS in the finale. Remember he's with Riley in the war room scene. Buffy: "What was your name?" Adam: "Before Adam? Not a man alive can remember." Sorry, I'm into quoting. And how the shit can you rank Warren above Glory?! I liked Warren for what he was but he was the all time weakest big bad.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 That Adam/Riley part in Restless rules. I love when Riley says they're going to take over the world and the key: coffee makers that think. Also "let's build a fort.", "I'll get the pillows" is hilarious! I rank Warren in the middle because he makes me laugh...all the time. I adore the nerd trio. I totally mark out for everything they do. Plus I love Adam Busch and Tom Lenk. They've got such nerd cuteness. Not as much as Nick Brendon though. Even though Xander is now a fat one-eyed construction worker. Of course Warren is not the REAL big bad of season 6. The true threat and cause of pain and destruction for the scoobies: Themselves. Guest Cavi Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I liked Adam, though I agree that he is at the bottom of the Big Bad barrel. Buffy: "Broke you arm." Adam: "Got another. *minigun pops out* I've been upgrading." On the subject of Warren, I noticed something in a Taco Bell commercial about a week ago. In it, there was this pregnant woman on a couch with this dude, and she eating some taco or whatever. I was like "Hey, I know that woman...that's Katrina!" Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I love the way Adam talks.
The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I can't believe you would rank Glory underneath Warren and The Master. Metcalf ruled, but he never truly posed a threat. Season 5 Buffy would have killed The Master in seconds. Dames
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 But is that because they didn't have the time or the money for a big final battle or because The Master is weak? I, for one, take him as a serious threat. I think Prophecy Girl is one of the best armageddons. I get a real sense of dread.
