The Dames 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 But Glory was so much more powerful than he was. Also, while The Master rose to the surface and tried to open up the Hellmouth, Glory was actually successful in opening the portal to another dimension. It took Buffy offing herself in order to stop it...and Glory technically couldn't be killed. Dames
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 29, 2003 I can't believe you would rank Glory underneath Warren and The Master. Metcalf ruled, but he never truly posed a threat. Season 5 Buffy would have killed The Master in seconds. Dames Hell, the end of season 2 Buffy would of killed the Master easily.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Yeah, Glory is more powerful than The Master. That doesn't make her better though. Adam could kill Warren but I liked Warren more. If it's just by power it would be like... 1. Glory 2. Mayor Wilkins 3. Adam 4. The Master 5. Angelus 6. Warren I just noticed Adam is the only hoss out of all the big bads. Guest Mole Report post Posted April 29, 2003 My villians go: 1. Mayor 2. Angelus 3. The Master 4. Glory 5. Geek Trio 6. Adam
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Favorites...although this list can always change, just depends on how I feel. 1. Mayor...he was just the coolest bad guy of all time. "Hey hey, watch the feet." (when Faith had her feet on his desk) plus his deal about not liking Marmaduke the dog cause she was always on the couch, unclean. 2. Angelas...sooooo fuckin evil. I loved it when they go into his backstory. I just think it's cool you have regular vamps, then you have vamps who are way more evil. "Sorry Jenny, this is where you get off..." *SNAP!* 3. The Master...I hate to put her above Glory, but Glory had one huge weakness with Ben. Plus in "The Wish" the Master kills Buffy, so he wasn't a wuss afterall...just had a bad night in episode 12. 4. Glory...tough, hot, funny, what's not to like? I liked that they threw a God swerve at us, who saw that coming. And after that she's pretty much unbeatable...till Ben shows up. 5. Adam...even though he's #5 doesn't mean I don't like the guy. He had a sense of humor but it was evil and dry. I even liked the dumb thing with him and Riley. Plus his stuff with Spike was good. Spike: "The Beatles?" Adam: *smiles* "I like 'Helter Skelter.'" Spike: "Why am I not suprised?" 6. Warren...I was disapointed that the big bad in season 6 was just some dork. He managed to kick Buffy's ass and kill Tara....that shouldn't of happened, she should have been able to squash him easy. But I did like how he started off as an ubergeek and worked his way to woman hating cold blooded killer.
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Well I guess I will join the fun 1. Angelus - Evil personified 2. The Mayor - the bad guy you want to cheer was great 3. Glory - she was a freaking god, hot as hell the one drawback is that her existence caused the creation of Dawn Dawn 4. Warren - I liked the fact it was a human bad guy. I like seeing the bad guy get frustrated enough to just pull out a gun. PLus I take into account the whole trio there and they provided some good laughs. 5. Adam - He wasnt that bad of the character but there is just no quality that makes him stand out like the others have. 6. Master - He takes a bite out of the slayer and doesn't drain her? What sense does that make? Isn't that supposed to be the end all be all for a vamp. To much minion work being done for him since he was trapped all season then as soon as he comes out he dies. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Say what you want about Warren...but Glory, the Master, the Mayor and Adam combined didn't have the effect on the gang or the show that he did as the bad guy.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Well, like I said earlier, the scoobies themselves were by far the real cause of all of their problems in season 6. Warren shot Tara but Willow's own problems at the time are what set up her heel turn. Xander and Anya's relationship fell apart because of themselves, not the trio. Buffy's new attitude and bad relationship with Spike was all scooby, Warren had nothing to do with it. Warren, Jonathan and Andrew were minor annoyances used for laughs and a reason for filler monster-of-the-week episodes. I thought Tara's death was brilliantly done though. It's shocking and powerful to see a guy come running out waving a gun around shouting and accidently shoot her in a show with vampires, demons and gigantic snakes. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Yes Season 6 was about Life...which was probably the Big Bad if you want to think that way. That's why I loved Warren and his gun too. A real person with a real gun causing real damage. Season 7...I get the feeling...is about Redemption
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Season 7...I get the feeling...is about Redemption Spike, eh?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Yeah. I thikn this is Spike's season. And the finale will center on his story more than I would have thought. They've built him up big this year.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Each season has kind of had an underlying theme. 1 - Coming to grips with responsibility (Slayer duties) 2 - Love/Love Lost 3 - Rebellion and the consequences of it 4 - Next stage in life, learning about the real world 5 - Death 6 - Life 7 - Redemption
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Yeah...I was working out the meanings of the seasons because I'm thinking of writing an article on it
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 If you wanted to break it down into one word descriptions it would go something like this 1 - Responsibility 2 - Love 3 - Consequences 4 - Reality 5 - Death 6 - Life 7 - Redemption
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2003 Oh God why did they have to show the eye gouging again?? Xander's screaming made it worse.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 "Run is a four letter word!" - Andrew Hahhaha Andrew was on fire tonight. Good episode. I wonder what the writing on the wall meant?
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Caleb: "Tell Xander he's in my prayers" Another great episode. I'm even liking Caleb even more. Classic stuff with Andrew and Spike and Andrew giving Faith the evil eye for eating his hot pocket. Plus Clem's sendoff. I'm not crazy on the casting the Buffy out deal. From next week's preview they should call the episode "we're all getting laid"
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Well Buffy was being quite the bitch tonight. I'm sure that's not a good show of what all happens next week. Just a little teaser. Maybe Buffy being out is kind of showing how Buffy's time has passed her by and it plays off the whole "Buffy thinks she's better than everyone else" thing. Guest Mole Report post Posted April 30, 2003 That was a good episode, and it was a total build up to the finale. Not much action though, which sometimes is better because it wasn't really needed. I liked the fact that the gang went against Buffy, she had it coming to her. There was no way that she could lead them like this by just going in with anger, but with a plan. There was a lot of humor in this episode, which is something that is what Buffy was what is about in some ways. Action and drama are a big part, but humor is what makes Buffy one of the best overall shows.
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Next week: Faith and Wood! Anya and Xander! Kennedy and Willow! Spike and Buffy! Andrew and Dawn! (why not?) Buffy slays some vampires, with sexy results!
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 30, 2003 And what was the thing that Caleb saw and got mad about?
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Well it's the token "what would you do on the last night on earth?" episode. I have a feeling there's more the episode, which would be good since they didn't give away much in the previews.
Guest Mole Report post Posted April 30, 2003 I'm sure that's not a good show of what all happens next week. Just a little teaser. Well, that was a pretty bad teaser. I know Youth posted this, but I'll post it again for shits and giggles. Touched Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Faith restores calm to the rattled Potentials after the power goes out in Sunnydale; Buffy confides her insecurities to Spike; the Scoobies interrogate a captured Bringer. LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Well it's good that they didn't give much away. What did "It's not for you it's for her to wield" or something like that mean?
Guest Cavi Report post Posted April 30, 2003 Spike and Andrew talking about onion blossoms was so awesome! If you may recall, Spike once mentioned how brilliant they were in the episode "Triangle" from Season Five. Sad Willow rules, as always. I wasn't so sure of Anya's shoot on Buffy. Sure, the power was handed to Buffy, but I think she has fully made up for not "earning" it by saving the freakin' world time and time again. And would somebody please kill that black SiT? She continues to annoy me. She probably will get it, knowing Joss (since he is all about being a racist, sexist, you name it! [/crazed Buffy hater]).
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted April 30, 2003 We'll find out next week. (I hope) When Dawn pulled her little power trip at the end I was waiting for Buffy to look the other way and say "Is the key talking again?" Ronna is officially Dawnnoying now, she was getting there but now she IS there.
