Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Yeah, but Spike had a chip then a soul. And in season 2 her excuse was? Or the Season 3 episode with Spike back? Or Season 4, both pre and post chip? So what if he CAN'T hurt anyone, he was still trying to get rid of the chip until mid season 5. She's the vampire SLAYER. So slay the vampire already! Hell, the worst non-stakeage IMO was when Spike was at the party with Harmony in Season 4, and Spike turned his damn back at her and she just stood there, doing nothing. My main problems with Spike started when they changed the rules for him. She slays...when she feels like it, and sunlight becomes a minor inconvenience, instead of death. But why would she want to kill Spike? He is so damn cool.

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Spike got a break in season 2 cause she wanted Giles out. And the only way she'd get that is with a safe passage for him and Drew. Season 3 he was only in one ep. And by season 4 I think people just liked the character too much to off him. And with him not being able to hurt anyone he was good for info and a little help on the side.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Because it's her JOB. And he was EVIL. by season 4 I think people just liked the character too much to off him Well yeah, but I want an actual in show reason.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Yeah, but he was soo cool.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 13, 2003 was being the key word
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Yeah, he was cool. His character kind of sucks now since he has his soul.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Naw I never stopped thinking he was cool. Maybe it's because I really like James' acting skills. Or maybe cause it shows throwbacks to his human side, which makes sense.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I liked Spike then, but I was still shouting at Buffy to at least ATTEMPT to stake his ass. It just didn't make any sense.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Hey YNA you mispelled Sunnydale in your sig Bah, sleepy. Fixed. I still liked the character in season 5...he was mostly comedy then, but it was good.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Naw I never stopped thinking he was cool. Maybe it's because I really like James' acting skills. Or maybe cause it shows throwbacks to his human side, which makes sense. He was bit of a nerd when he was human.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Done for the night. Sleeeeeep. Spike sucked as a human, being vamped was good for him.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I know. I didn't like Spike as a human, but it makes sense for him to still have bits of that human side in his character. I just liked how profound Spike is. He's not afraid to tell people what they need to hear and that's just cool even if he isn't being a badass he's a great character. Guest Mole Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Just like Anya.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Well Anya says things to people bluntly cause she doesn't know better. And that is a funny part of her character. Spike does it cause he has the guts to say things to a person's face and has no problem speaking his mind.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 13, 2003 That is true.
Guest Ripper Report post Posted May 13, 2003 No, Anya knows better...its just Anya. Remeber in Selfless when Olaf was talking about how nobody liked her because she spoke so literal and spoke her mind. The girl has never had tact. And with Buffy and Spike...Season 2, she needed to get Giles and need help...season 3, she needed to know where Willow and Xander were...sure she could have made a run for him when he was at the door and told Her and Angel where they were, but I doubt she would have caught him. ' Season 4, they at first needed info on the Initiative...that was actually how Spike prevented the staking. She didn't kill him at the party when his back was turned because...well...they were at a freakin party and she was with Parker. Later in the season he did save their lives which probably got him his season 5 pass.
Guest Marshall Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Seen the new episode! Without any spoilers: I hate all the SITs, I hope they all die! I love Anya and Andrew. Anya has the funniest line ever. The rest was okay.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 13, 2003 8 hours till Buffy...think I'll watch a movie or something.
Guest fazzle Report post Posted May 13, 2003 8 hours til? Damn, I watched it almost 24 hours ago (Just for clarification, no, I'm not a spoiler whore. I just don't get it until Saturday, and don't feel like waiting until then)
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 13, 2003 8 hours til? Damn, I watched it almost 24 hours ago (Just for clarification, no, I'm not a spoiler whore. I just don't get it until Saturday, and don't feel like waiting until then) No spoilers, then no problemo. I watched X-Men...but that only took up 90 minutes or so...4 and a half hours to go. Anyone else think it was dumb how this super weapon was just sitting out in plain site in the basement...wouldn't have suited the First better just not digging it up? And Fazzle, you can't answer cause you know too much
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Didn't they just want to destroy it?
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 13, 2003 Didn't they just want to destroy it? The bad guys? I dunno. I don't recall them saying that. But why would they even unearth it in the first place.
Guest Mole Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I think that is what Caleb said to the First Buffy, they dug it up so they can destroy it.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted May 13, 2003 I don't even get why they bothered in the first place. And didn't it look a little too new and shiney for some ancient weapon?
