Guest Brian Posted October 15, 2002 Report Posted October 15, 2002 Triple H is in need of face opponents. So what they're doing with Jericho is trying to establish the Christian/Edge vibe in less time, only with a better worker and promo man in Jericho. Do you think it'll work?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted October 15, 2002 Report Posted October 15, 2002 It could work, but wouldn't you have to turn Christian as well? Given that he didn't cut his hair like the WWE wanted him too, I doubt they'd "reward him" with a turn. Then again, a turn isn't a guarantee for a push either.

It'll keep Jericho from getting buried by HHH in a PPV match again anyway, and then there's the fact that he was getting stale in his WWE face run with his micwork and even ringwork.

I think they just stuck the belts on Jericho/Christian to hotshot them over to Booker/Goldust. If they wanted to set-up a Jericho/Triple H feud, then they should have alligned them together when Jericho was IC champ and have them run roughshot over RAW to build to their eventual break-up and feud. Similar to what they had planned for Austin/Triple H before Hunter tore his quad. But assuming that the WWE actually has plans for this team, I think Jericho could easily work as a face. He's one of those guys with that natural charisma that draws people to want to cheer him. He didn't have a storyline for the greater part of 2 years and the fans still bought all his merchandise and ate up everything he said. Jericho could best fill the Rock-style babyface role if they would ever push him strong. But a face turn would inevitably lead to Triple H squashing him anytime he got too popular so it would be pointless.

Maybe if he and Triple H face off if that happens Jericho could actually shoot and put HHH in the REAL walls of jericho against H's will, and thus forcing an injury by refusing to let go. Hehehehe, most people won't even realize it's a shoot. Well, I can dream can't I??!!!

Plus its one step closer to the WCW Jericho everybody loves Yeah Bay-Bee
