Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 Yeah I noticed that just the other day actually. I thought that was rather cool.
Guest Sassquatch Posted November 27, 2002 Report Posted November 27, 2002 Toshiaki Kawada's All Japan theme song "Holy War" also uses part of "Stairway To Heaven" in it during the song's intro. I will gladly let anyone who has not heard the song download it from me if I can get my AIM working sometime soon. Awesome stuff. Baba always had good taste in music and I felt (still do) that All Japan always had the superior taste when it came to creating/using songs for their wrestler's to come out to for their entrances. Bruiser Brody's version of the "Immigrant Song" is damn good and I have gone back and worth trying to decide on if Led's version is better than Brody's version.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 I didn't know that about Kawada's song. Everything I've seen from Japan has poor audio quality.
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 then, cwm, if you want some puro, talk to me. you might get some high quality stuff!!! as for the immigrant song, zep's version will forever rule.
Guest Incandenza Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 I want some puro, gh. I don't have the money to shell out right now, nor can I think of anything I have that you'd want in return.

I'll do that...whenever I get some money to spare for that. And I love Led's version.
Guest Angle-plex Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Screw Puro. You guys have got to start watching MMA.
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 i have watched mma... pride and k1 to be exact. now, while i appreciate it, it doesn't even compare to a good worked puro match.
Guest Angle-plex Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Well, I really don't think you can compare MMA and Wrestling/Puro. They're different sports.
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Well, I really don't think you can compare MMA and Wrestling/Puro. They're different sports. then why did you even bring up mma when we were discussing puro??? inc. we may be able to work something out at a later time. or you can just start writing more for the site and hope to win one of my contests.

They're different sports. then why did you even bring up mma when we were discussing puro??? Because I personally like MMA better than wrestling at the moment, and figured that it was worth them checking out if they hadn't seen any before.
Guest Incandenza Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 inc. we may be able to work something out at a later time. or you can just start writing more for the site and hope to win one of my contests. goodhelmet--The latter isn't likely to happen anytime soon. (See the D.C. Gathering thread in General.) AP--I watch MMA from time to time. I posted in a couple of UFC threads recently.
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 ok what happened with writing for the site?
Guest Incandenza Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Here ya go: I've lost the desire to write for so little in return. I put a lot of work into my columns; if I just wanted to toss off something, I'd do it in the forum (where it'd get more readers, anyway). I have plenty of ideas, but I feel they'd just go to waste. I just don't care.
Guest Sassquatch Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 I'll let you guys download the themes from me since I have them saved. That's only if I can get my damn AIm to work.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 It's STILL giving you problems Sass? Geez that's ghey.
Guest Sassquatch Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Yes, AIM is still giving me problems. If I get to even stay on for a good amount of time it could crap out on me at any moment. Hopefully when I do get online I'll be able to actually let you download the theme songs from me. Oh and Happy Thanksgiving you guys!
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 ...It's thanksgiving? Oh wait...you yanks have it way after CIVILIZED people.
Guest Sassquatch Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Silly Canadians. Always doing things backwards.
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 omg!!!! canadians vs. americans!!! war, war, war!
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Silly Canadians. Always doing things backwards. Nah we just get things done before you Yanks, wether it be thanksgiving or improving our health care system.
Guest Sassquatch Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Health Care? That was low CWM...
Guest Plushy Al Logan Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Mario, Cobain has no grave. Courtney carries his ashes with her. And a lock of his hair, IIRC. ::Relishes in the fact that his favorite band managed to not die:: Warning, more wierd crap from me: I say that there should be a Frankenstein like expirement performed to create the Ultimate musician, by combining: Ozzy Osbourne Elvis Jim Morrison Jimi Hendrix John Lennon Kurt Cobain Axl Rose Some drummer, I can't think of one.
Guest The Superstar Posted December 1, 2002 Report Posted December 1, 2002 What's this "Establishment", and how do I join it?
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted December 1, 2002 Report Posted December 1, 2002 It's amazing that this thread has lasted so long, despite its purpose dying about twenty pages ago. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Sassquatch Posted December 1, 2002 Report Posted December 1, 2002 Is this thread suppose to die? I figured since the ESTABLISHMENT~! died that this thread became a thread for anyone to post in.
Guest DARRYLXWF Posted December 1, 2002 Report Posted December 1, 2002 Hey, finally there's another thread for someone to post something new without having to start a new thread. Anyway, here's a funny little story. I ran into an old friend awhile ago (we hadn't been in touch for about 3 years) and it brought back some good memories. His mother is very much fucked in the head, and is always looking out for popular and wealthy people to cling on to. Anyway, my friend wasn't so much a fan of professional wrestling, but rather an obsessive fan of Goldberg. I mean he LOVED the guy. He had all the merchandise money could buy, and he even bought a dog and named it Goldberg. Everyone laughed at him for that one, so one day, when I along with some friends bump into his mother, we ask her why her son named the Dog Goldberg... She paused for at least 10 seconds, hesitated a bit, and said "Well, we named him after a reputable Jewish Accountant." WHAT THE FUCK?!?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted December 24, 2002 Report Posted December 24, 2002 *Ignore Darryl* I just finished watching Mutoh Vs. Liger 01-08-95 and it has some good psychology but I was pissed with the way Mutoh took the beating and then won with the Shining Wizard outta no where. Anyway Kazaa owns and now this thread can continue since Sass is back.

I just don't care. Whoa, I just noticed this. I gotta say Matt, sometimes I feel the exact same way. Like when I didn't even get a vote for anything in TheSmartMarks awards, it really did bother me. And when DrTom and JHawk and CJ and even bob barron get feedback for their columns and I don't, well... maybe I need to expand more, which is why I posted the El Crimen del Padre Amaro review. At least then I can be pigeonholed into, uhh, multiple pigeonholes? Let it be known though, that I always read and appreciated your columns (though ironically, even though I just bitched about how I crave feedback I never left/gave any for you), and when I get back to college, I'm going to PM you first thing about Pornography for the Audiophile. Let it be known that I appreciate Incandenza. Now then, back to your regularly scheduled post-ESTABLISHMENT~! puro conversations. Hopefully free of DARRYL and other non-post-ESTABLISHMENT~!-anti-puro-heads such as myself. Well, it's not that I'm anti-puro, it's just that I don't see the big deal about it. Then again, I'm starting to watch wrestling in general less and less anyway. I think it's just a phase.
