Guest Choken One Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 I don't think the 48 hour thing would work... Yes, Moving out of L.A would be great...It can be used if say, Kim dies...Naturally wants to fucking LEAVE L.A and he turns down a job as head of Defense or some high ranking position like that. He should move somewhere like Chicago or London...From there I have no idea...
Guest MaxPower27 Posted February 28, 2003 Report Posted February 28, 2003 I'd like to see a different season in a different city. 24: London 24: Tokyo 24: Zimbabwe You get the idea, with each different area, there are new things to do, like...uh...kill people...and...stuff...
Guest Choken One Posted March 1, 2003 Report Posted March 1, 2003 Zimbabwe? How the hell can you expect them to do an entire season there?
Guest chirs3 Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 Never mind. I mixed up what Armus was blamed for. Ignore this post.
Guest Luke Cage Posted March 2, 2003 Report Posted March 2, 2003 Also, does anyone else think that we haven't seen the last of Cabin Boy? I predict that, near the end of the day, Angry Husband Guy traps Kim somehow, but Cabin Boy saves her. Otherwise, he's just an unnecessary character. Let's face it, the whole Kim subplot is unnecessary... Wait till next year's "Kim Subplot". She spends the entire season held captive by her own reflection in a mirror. "Who are you...you look just like me!..What do you want...Stop staring at me!!!!"
Guest the pinjockey Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Tonight 24 once again proves why it is the greatest show on TV. I sat with my mouth hanging open, silent for the last 15 minutes of the show.
Guest the pinjockey Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 3 Weeks til the next episode?!? SHIT
Guest Evolution Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 24 is so good, and yet hasn't recieved much award recognition. And yet The Shield has. The world is cruel and unfair.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 GREAT GREAT stuff tonight. I had a hard time during the Jack/Kim conversation, as it was pretty emotional. I knew that George was on the plane, but it was an EXCELLENT episode. I'm PISSED that it's another 3 weeks till the new episode. Who is the voice????????
Guest TUS_02 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 24 is so good, and yet hasn't recieved much award recognition. And yet The Shield has. The world is cruel and unfair. That could possibly be because the SHield IS a good show? Although the past 3 weeks of 24 has outshined the Shield... The second season of the Shield has been better then 24 though.
Astro101 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I don't want American Idol next week! Just 24!

Guest packwingfn Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 I cried specially during the Kim/Jack conversation even tho I knew Jack just couldnt die, they really made you believe it like he was... and got chills when the bomb went off, RIP George Mason, You'll always be remembered!
Guest MaxPower27 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 The voice is obviously the Higher Power... But who?????? THREE WEEKS!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! ::smokes a cigarette:: I feel better. Who does everyone think it'll be? EvilDadGary? Kung Fu Miguel?
Guest Evolution Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 The voice is obviously the Higher Power... But who?????? THREE WEEKS!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! ::smokes a cigarette:: I feel better. Who does everyone think it'll be? EvilDadGary? Kung Fu Miguel? Well, using my trusty TiVo and judging from the reflection in the rear-view mirror, it's neither Gary nor Miguel. Oh and regarding The Shield, when I watched the season 2 premiere, I was very underwhelmed, and I just couldn't agree that this show had what it took to beat 24. Just my opinion, though.
The Dames Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 It's got to be either Colonel Samuels or the 7th Coral Snake guy.... Everyone I know got teary eyed this ep. George went down like a fuckin champ too. Dames
Guest areacode212 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Great episode with lots of nice character moments. They should haved saved those "silent beeps" for tonight, though. But damn, what a way to end the hour. I missed the first 20 minutes. I only got home in time to catch Spawn hitch a ride with that chick. Did I miss anything good?
Guest Choken One Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 My wife claims the voice is Reconizgeable to her...but I didn't catch it... It's 11:00 now...So that means what? We got alot more time left...Kind of weird they already blew off the Bomb angle (pUn intended)...Meaning I have ZERO idea what could be the storyline now... The interesting things to remember are...What were those three countries... Are we smart in ancipating an Swerve or SHOCK of some sort? My wife isn't buying Stantons relationship with Palmer and thinks there is something more to it... I am still expecting the oddball basement dweller to be an important person here... Amazing. And The Shield First Season actually OWNED the First 24 season...However, They have been equal this season...I expect 24 to get the stuff this time since they have done Good ratings lately.

I agree with you 100% about the silent beeps... As for the first 20 minutes, Kim actually avoided a bad situation. She was about to hitch a ride with this guy, but he seemed really creepy...and he got out of the car to try and do something to her. She whipped out the gun, told him to get back in the car and shot out one of his windows to let him know she wasn't kidding. Dames
Guest MaxPower27 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 The voice sounded familiar, but fucked if I know who it is. Maybe I'll buy "The Shield: Season 1" on DVD to fill the time. *EDIT* Kim handled the gun like a fucking champ, too. Quick on the draw, unlike her mother.
Guest areacode212 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Ah, that actually sounds pretty badass. Ah well, those missing 20 minutes will give me more incentive to pick up the DVD. Also, who was that Arab-looking guy at CTU giving Tony all that attitude? As for the three countries, I don't think we'll actually hear them get named. We'll have to endure hearing the actors awkwardly say "those three countries" over & over, unless Palmer comes up with an "Axis of Evil"-style catchphrase.
Guest Choken One Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 Why not just go ahead and say three countries? Just say Egypt, Sudan and Canada and get it over with...fuck P.C .
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 My comments are late, but: a decent episode tonight. Uneventful for the most part, lacking a lot of the usual tension, and a real transition episode in terms of plot, but the Jack/Mason stuff in the plane made it worthwhile. We all knew it was going to be Mason flying it in, but that they addressed it in the first 10 minutes, refuted it, and then came through anyway was great. He certainly redeemed himself for everything bad or shortsighted he's done over the past two seasons, and it was a great send-off for a great character.
Guest TUS_02 Posted March 5, 2003 Report Posted March 5, 2003 The focus of the first... I guess 3/5ths of the show (how eps have there been?) has been stopping the bomb and finding out who was behind it. They did that, meanwhile, we get the layout of what the rest of the season is going to be about... and like someone said... it's probably going to be a plot to remove Palmer from office. My room mate said that the voice sounded like a Comedian. It's gonna get intense!
