Guest saturnmark4life Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 where did you hear the smiths were talking about a reunion? Because i would have to regard that as bullshit. Morrissey is i believe still battling the drummer in court. And says he'll die before he gives up.
Guest converge241 Posted November 22, 2002 Report Posted November 22, 2002 lol oh no someone said they would never go back musicians arent exactly the best people for keeping their word about that time (and $$$$) heals all for musicians i said i heard cause it was a rumor it was supposed to coincide with the box set release from what i understand the drummer sued him right? so just do it without the drummer..its not like he was integral
Guest Anglesault Posted November 23, 2002 Report Posted November 23, 2002 Aerosmith. Actually, in this case, I'm trying to beat their clock, not mine.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 23, 2002 Report Posted November 23, 2002 Bowie and Costello, and Modest Mouse. The latter I'll swing someday, and the first two I just always manage to miss. Either I'm back home the weekend they're in DC, or I'm at college the week they're playing Tampa. Damn aging rockstars need to abide by MY schedule. I also want to see In Flames, because one of my pals in New York went to their show and came back with blood pouring down his face. I don't think much of it was his.
Guest ElectricRaccoon Posted November 23, 2002 Report Posted November 23, 2002 Yes, he's ancient and it'll set me back over a hundred dollars for the ticket alone, but I must see Bob Dylan live.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 Well, i haven't heard that mozza has any plans for a reunion, and his live shows have been getting rave reviews recently, meaning that reforming the smiths would be fairly pointless. Not saying i wouldn't kill to see them though.
Guest goodhelmet Posted November 24, 2002 Report Posted November 24, 2002 well since a beatles reunion is out of the question and the who just isn't the same without john entwistle, i guess i really need to see pearl jam.
Guest notJames Posted November 25, 2002 Report Posted November 25, 2002 well since a beatles reunion is out of the question... I know how you can reunite them... ::foregoes the requisite tasteless joke and ducks out from the inevitable backlash as Beatles fans ready the muskets::
Guest Anglesault Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 You know, everytime I see Sir Paul, I have to stop myself from saying "I can't believe he's the only one left." Where the fuck is Ringo?
Guest Kinetic Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 I saw McCartney on ABC tonight, actually, and I've come to the conclusion that he's too old to even be a decent human jukebox anymore. Same with Dylan, although that's largely due to the fact that his voice is officially dead and gone forever. McCartney did, however, play a pretty good version of "Something" on the ukelele. I'm not sure if it was just good because you can't fuck that melody up or what.
Guest red_file Posted November 28, 2002 Report Posted November 28, 2002 Maybe the Magnetic Fields again, or possibly the Mr. T Experience. I've never been a fan of the live experience. I much prefer musicians studio work to their live work.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 Britney Spears now in a nude concert. Also, a time machine to go back to the 80's for GNR and Metallica. Then some early 90's Pearl Jam would do it for me.
B. Brian Brunzell Posted November 29, 2002 Report Posted November 29, 2002 i guess i really need to see pearl jam. Yes. You DO need to see Pearl Jam. They're totally worth the money. I saw them in 200 here in Chicago and was blown away. Never before have I seen a band turn all the house lights ON to close the show. And they didn't even play one of their tunes. The did a smokin' cover of The Who's classic "Baba O'Riley." I'd kill my family to see Pink Floyd. I saw Roger Waters two years ago, so I'm guessing that's as close as I'll ever get to seeing The Floyd live and in person.
Guest Banky Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Have to see currently: Beastie Boys U2 Wish I could have seen: Sublime Hendrix Marley Nirvana
