Guest buffybeast Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Rey Misterio!!!! Hopefully my man is in for a big push. 1) Albert defeated Rey Mysterio. Albert won after reversing the West Coast Pop into an over-the-shoulder backbreaker. After the match he pounded Mysterio against a turnbuckle, then hit him with his bicycle kick. He then procured himself a steel chair, and gave Mysterio several shots to the knee as he was draped over the turnbuckle and top rope. Edge ran out for the save, but Albert turned tail and ran. Rey was helped out with help from the refs and Edge. Is Rey going out for surgery or something?
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Vince's joke about a cruiserweight division gets less funny every year.

Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Don't get your hopes up Buffybeast, this push'll fail, just like all the others.

Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 No matter ho often you job on SD! or have to win on Velocity... always remember you CAN beat a cruiserweight clean in 3 minutes. See also: Hugh Morrus vs. Funaki Test vs. Hurricane several times too.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 That's Bill DeMott to you bps!
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I wish I'd have been on Tough Enough 3. When he tried to explain how hard it was to "make it" in pro wrestling I would have laughed in his face. What exactly has he made? He was a lame joke of an idea brought in to job to Randy Savage in WCW...the home of all bad ideas... then he never went away. Never had a good match or made fans care either...but also never went away.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 He was the first person to ever be whatted. Hugh Morrus. What? Is that supposed to be humorous?
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Id remind mr demott of his Hugh G. Rection/ General Rection days. He must have no self pride to work for WCW as Hugh G Rection, although it did get changed to General Rection...
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Yah I thought they was actually pushing the cruiserweight division......silly me.

Guest drunkenscarredangel Report post Posted December 4, 2002 To me, the whole 'pushing' Albert again thing is a waste of time, not only will it make for bad wrestling, but other than the odd fan, nobody gives a shit about him. The whole thing will fail, and in a month of so he'll be back doing random matches or being on velocity, the same thing will happen again a year from now, or a couple months down the line. Just a waste of time! Matt would have been such a better choice. But, hell I'm biased anyway.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I agree- why not have Matt injure him- he's starting to get over with his new gimmick

The writers and the company need to come up with something that's not stupid to get him over.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 You answered your own question Bob. Oh and allow me to throw in that Matt is not a hoss.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 You mean like making him in I-C Champion?
Guest Goodear Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Why would turning Edge make sense? It would reduce the number of active faces on Smackdown to Rikishi and (sort of I guess) Angle with Brock and Rey injured. Turning an over face heel on SmackDown now would be like shooting yourself in the foot... not that WWE doesn't excell at that. Hopefully, they somewhat put over that Rey was somewhat injured going into the match so he retains some heat and Albert picks some more up for being such a bastard to attack an injured man after the fall. Or something like that... Bill DeMot beats Funaki and people are surprised why exactly? Sho hasn't won a match on SmackDown... I think ever. Anyway, Bill and Albert aren't so bad they should be subjected to this sort of thing just because they actually are getting pushed for once. Oh no, FUNAKI LOST! Excuse me for not caring. Where were you people when Tajiri beat Chuck Palumbo last week saying that they are burying heavyweights?
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted December 4, 2002 you idiots, rey isn't even a stud, let alone a hoss. I liked albert when he wore clothes and teamed with test (cos test made him look better) but as a singles wrestler, you may as well waste your time and push big show. Oh wait, yeah. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Yea- I didn't mind T&A all that much. They were a good team

Guest buffybeast Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Albert and Demott looked good on Velocity last week. Maybe they could make a team with them and put some clothes on Albert, to appease the masses.
Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Why would turning Edge make sense? Because tag teams breaking up and one going heel and one going face is as old as tag wrestling, probably. It would reduce the number of active faces on Smackdown to Rikishi and (sort of I guess) Angle with Brock and Rey injured. Then build somebody else up, hell trade RVD over to smackdown and there you go.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 So...Albert takes out Misterio and then goes on to feud with Edge? ALBERT HAS INVADED THE SMACKDOWN 6!!!!!!!! It won't be long before we start calling it the Smackdown 7.
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 DeMott looked HORRIBLE on Velocity last week. The guy who looked good was Danny Doring bumping like a superball for him. WWE Smackdown!: The place where the Cruisers live to get squashed by big talentless apes.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted December 4, 2002 I agree- why not have Matt injure him- he's starting to get over with his new gimmick I think the Matt Version 1.0 will get him over has a face. Maybe the WWE knows this (doubtful) and doesn't want to give anymore heel heat to Matt Hardy.

B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted December 4, 2002 waitaminute...Danny Doring was on Velocity last week? and i missed it? GODDAMIT!!! He sure was. But, thanks to deMott being a HUGE PEICE OF CRAP, we got no Barebakcs, no G-Spot Sweeps, no Panty Drop Elbows, and no Danaconda. Danny bumped like a fool, but all the offense he got in was some chops and a couple kicks.
Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted December 4, 2002 Why not have someone ya' know who like doesn't completely suck injure Rey Like if edge turned. Dude that makes sense. Hence, it won't be done. What doesn't make sense, and what no one wants to see, is an Albert/Edge feud... and that will most likely result. Why not bring back Rhyno for this angle? And is Albert wearing a shirt yet? Does he still scream every time he does a move?
