Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted December 12, 2002 "How is the roster split working for some of you? I might try it in a different save slot, but is it more difficult? less?" I like it, it makes managing a big roster much easier. The only complaint is that there are not enough feuds allowed, so I have to pair some people up in the tag ranks to get more people involved. You do know that you can run good feuds without having it on the official feud slots. Just use the notepad to make notes of what feuds you are doing. I'm currently not using any of the feud slots. I won't use them into i have my planned major feuds set up. But will the people still get as over as they would have been if it were actually placed in a feud slot? Guest the 1inch punch Report post Posted December 12, 2002 Ok, so I'm playing as my local indie fed, ECCW. Pretty tough going early on, losing a lot of money and being ignored by all the networks, but I finally got a deal at TSN and started kicking ass, making money, and getting my guys pretty darn over for a very small regional promotion. I brought in a guy by the name of Ebessan in order to job him out to one of the main heels in my promotion, the dreaded Dr Luther. So, Dr Luther and Ebby put on a rather good fued, ending with a gamut of gimmick matches all with Luther going over clean. It was great, made Luther my top draw by far and I was all set to have him as the centerpiece of my promotion. Then Sophie is all "Hey, Dr Luther has 3 months left on his contract." So I decide to give him a big fat raise, and what does he say? "Sorry, but I think I'm going to try for one of the bigger promotions." WHAT? WHAT?!?!?! You ungrateful bastard! I looked deep within him, and saw something no one else did. I saw potential. I saw heart. I saw that his stats were slightly better than my other unused main event heel, and I gave him the push of a lifetime. And then the very next day he gets stolen by "No Name Wrestling". Now he's a midcarder, in a promotion whose top draws are Bradshaw and, ironically enough, the recently fired Ebessan. I hope they both get stoned by a rabid mob in the mid-south or something. And if I ever see Dr Luther at a local show, I am going to start rabidly yelling about how he's an unloyal backstabbing scumbag. DAMN YOU DR LUTHER! The moral of the story: if you are setting someone up for a big push, make sure to get them in a nice long written contract. The End. Thats a beautiful story man Btw, who is this Ebessan? he's pretty decent

It depends but yes they usually still get over. You may still want to run your top feuds in the slots so you know how it's coming along and when you should end it. For your secondary feuds that don't have a big influence on your shows notepad is plenty good.
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted December 12, 2002 That 2002 WWE scenario was too easy, so I downloaded the 1996 scenario and converted it to version 2.0. I hope this will be more challenging than the 2002 version.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted December 13, 2002 Check this thing out, guys. It's like a file editor, only you can use it during saved games, and it'll stay in effect. http://www.freewebz.com/arsenic85/WrestlerEditor.zip
Guest JAxlMorrison Report post Posted December 13, 2002 Somebody hurry up and feel sorry for me.......So I start a new fed to compete with WWE......my top feuds right now are Bret Hart vs. Randy Savage, Sting vs. Vader and Steve Austin vs. Goldberg, just until the more talented guys I have on the undercard get more over. I have a show on Monday nights on Fox and I am kicking WWE'S ass in rating......then Austin breaks his neck and is out for 12 months! So I scan the free agents, and who do I see who can replace Stone Cold? Not in ability, but in overness and charisma? The only guy who is even close? Hulk Hogan..........My fed is done for, lol It's 2003 in that game and my top feud will now be Hulk Hogan vs. Goldberg......good God no

Course, I've never heard of my entire ECCW roster too, so there ya go. I went to their website to see what "my" wrestlers looked like, and it's really odd seeing them look so much different than you envisioned.

Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted December 14, 2002 I got the game, and was doing fine with NWA Wildside, but became bored quickly, because they were at like 90% Regional, so it took me no time in getting them to Cult. Wanting a challenge, I started EPIC (really good stats on these guys too), but NOW the game decides to lock up on me after every day (I check, and EWR wasn't responding...I thought it was just taking a while...). So now I'm going to reinstall it, and see how it goes. Oh, and my WWA is still doing well in 1.4. Though PI has dropped due to the industry waning, interest in the industry is almost at 10%, and I believe that's when most people get released, correct? Guest Ram Report post Posted December 14, 2002 I started my own fed, and ended up buying close to 20 unknown jobbers and DeMott, Buchanan, Saturn, Raven, Orton, O'Haire, Spanky, Bischoff, and Shamrock. My PI was rapidly dropping until the Shamrock buy, can you guess WHY? Hah, and the breakout star is Aki Mann (Now known as Aki Manaku). Him and the Blitzkrieg twins are feuding HEAVILY. I figure eventually I'll buy Austin for a week and make him put over Manaku.

Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted December 14, 2002 Damn, I've been a global fed for 3 months and still can't get a tv deal. Market is dropping though...but damn. My first game I got a tv deal off the bat.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted December 14, 2002 Is anyone else getting a ratings problem, where all your shows get the same ratings every week? I am. I thought it might have been an interesting coincidence after the first two weeks, but the ratings haven't changed in four months. I would restart the game to see if it goes away, but I like the way I have things going right now.

The Dames 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2002 Not only am I getting the problem where I'm getting the maximum ratings every week, but I also have the next day glitch where the game freezes. Now that I've been spoiled by 2.0's Tag Team system, I doubt I'll go back to 1.4....so I'll just wait til they fix it. Whenever that'll be. Dames

Guest Kenju Matsuki Report post Posted December 15, 2002 The Commissioner, Ric Flair, has come down to the ring. He is carrying the HHH Commemorative title belt. He takes the microphone: 'As you all know, the HHH Commemorative title is currently vacant. So, i'd like to introduce the man who i have personally selected to be the new champion, Triple H!' Out from the back comes the new champion, who climbs into the ring and is handed the title belt. Well, we have a new champion, although i'm sure everyone would have preferred to see the title change hands in the ring. Triple H looks like he might disagree though, he is obviously delighted at having won the title without having to do anything. What a jerk. Hehe, cute. If you are running a show without competition, for some reason, your ratings stay at whatever they are at. When you run against another show, they fluctuate more. Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted December 15, 2002 In my 1996 scenario, Raw is up to Nitro indirectly and the ratings fluctuat. With Superstars on Saturday though, I'm directly up against WCW Saturday Night. Those ratings, though, never change and aren't the maximum rating either. I don't know if its just a bug or coincidence.

Guest NYCTA Bus No. PA1767 Report post Posted December 16, 2002 I don't know what the hell is going on in my game, but the ratings are always at 0.00 for my fed and 0.01 for the WWE shows. Okay, secondly when I try to see what Sophie thinks of my shows, she says we haven't debuted it yet. Give me a break! The same thing happens with the networks and two of my shows got dropped, one of them without me being notified! After every show, it would also say, the USA network is not happy with the risky nature of your show. Fine, except I'm on NBC!!!!!! What's wrong here! Guest Insanityman Report post Posted December 16, 2002 You'll probably have to redownload it, sorry to say. But my SWF -insert shameless plug- is finally beating the WWE! Not to mention I have a cruiserweight division only the WWE could dream of.

Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted December 19, 2002 If anybody is interested, I edited myself WCW. Copy/paste the following link to the address bar of your browser to download the .zip file (clicking on the link won't work) http://www13.brinkster.com/athompson/wcw.zip What I did: --create WCW, owned by Fusient Media --reassigned the appropriate wrestlers (had to create DDP). I *think* I got the title holders correct. --put in the PPV names, as well as TV shows (WCW Saturday Night~!) You will still need to: --get sponsors --hire other staff (writers, medics, etc.) Enjoy! If you don't like it, well, you should have made one your own damn self
