Bret Hart is my favorite wrestler ever. Of course as far as she knows he pales in comparison to Stevie Richards and X-pac. I guess ignorance really is bliss...

Damn right. Oh, and don't forget to mention that Bretty-boy also pales in comparison to The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels.

You will BURN IN HELL now...

EDIT: I guess if Shawn got screwed out of his match and got kicked in the head way too hard by Goldberg than it'd be Bret facing Austin at Summerslam in streetfights and winning the RAW world title...

HBK is a good worker...Bret? Don't know. I didn't say I was ONLY interested in the martial artists. And I said to "some extent" Rico was considered a martial artist.

To put a ? after the words Bret, good, and worker, is just wrong. You need to learn that first off lil' lady. ;) :P ;) There is also nothing at all wrong in liking wrestlers who have a martial arts style, I happen to love the style as long as they can work a nice flowing match with everyone else.

Yes, I know the guy died. Like I mentioned above, I never miss Confidential (unless it's a repeat). I would say I don't like seeing druggies on my tv....but then I'd be contradicting myself by supporting X-Pac, Eddie Guerrero (known druggies) as well as RVD and Jeff Hardy (I'm not too sure if they're druggies or not....although, I missed ECW soooo, I'm not too sure about RVD). Besides that, I don't just depend on COnfidential for wrestling history (although they always sum up things nicely)....

If you don't like seeing druggies on your TV, then you might as well turn off not only Pro. Wrestling, but tons of other shows also. I know you said you WOULD say it (you didn't), but you obviously were about to, lol. The British Bulldog was one of the greatest of all time in many ways, but I can't fault you for not knowing much about him since you just started watching.

Oooooh, so you summed up the whole board here (minus the slash, obviously). Does everyone KNOW for a FACT that HHH has a bad backstage attitude or uses steroids? Nope....they just go by what they read on the net and give their opinion based on THAT. As for slash? Hey, if you want to use my writing preferances as an insult....feel free. It won't affect me at all.

Basicly yes, we all know that HHH has a bad backstage attitude. If he did not, then every single source on the internet who actually is backstage, or has backstage connections would not have the reports coming out weekly. Not to mention those guys, but even other WRESTLERS who work with HHH has come out and made comments against him for this very reason. As for him being on steroids, if you know anything about the drug, it is more than obvious that he's hit up more than once. HHH isn't the only one, so I can't really say anything against him for that.

I'm not going to laugh at you, because people like who they like, period. I will ask you this however...

...how can you say that, if you have never truly seen a lot of their work? That would be like me saying that Lou Thesz pales in comparison to HBK, there is no way I could say that. Have you seen a lot of Bret Hart or HBK matches? Have you actually seen enough of their work to say that one pales in comparison to the other?

Firerose is quite annoying, she really needs to brush up on her history! I bet she thinks Ric Flair is just an old fart, and Jeff Hardy can work a match better then him.

Anyway how much does this DVD cost? I'll be sure to keep one up.

Okay, my last post in this thread.

Ric Flair an old fart? No. I think his wrestling days are past, BUT, I do like his mic work, and his manager role is perfect right now.

Jeff Hardy? Hot as hell, BUT, he uses WAY too much paint and recently what little wrestling skills he has, has become completely sloppy and it's really sad to watch him now.

Oh, and as far as a flame war goes. I'm your huckleberry.

You'd better be a huckleberry in NHB, then. That goes for both of you. Keep your bullshit bickering out of this folder.

Dr. Tom has never seen Tombstone. Or he'd know I wasn't entirely serious.

It's a good one Tom, you should check it out.

Yeah, and look who gets the most space on the cover. I mean, don't you KNOW that Trish's house is more important than the Bret Hart/Survivor Series '97 story or DX invading WCW. [/sarcasm]

Bret > HBK

Ow.....what did I get smacked for? I wasn't comparing those two, I was just saying that it's more important than Trish or the "Spin-A-Roony Story".

But if it eases your tortured, Paul Stanley loving soul, Bret Hart is better than HBK. Okay...end of discussion.

Just a few things.

Davey Boy was by all acounts a druggie. He was a morphine addict and and a steroid user. Not to mention all the other drugs he had done over the years with Dynamite Kid and others.

Bret vs. Shawn is like apples and oranges. Bret worked a techincal style, Shawn a more high flying and fast paced style. It really boils down to which style you prefer. I like Shawn's work better, but I'm a huge Bret fan as well. Shawn's crazy bumping enables him to carry big slugs like Sid and Nash to better matches than Bret could. Bret had to work the leg and such, whereas Shawn got tossed all over the fucking place and made a more exciting match IMO.

Other than that I think this girl is a moron. Getting wrestling hystory from the WWF is like getting American history from the Soviet Union. It ain't gonna be accurate and it will be skewed to make the WWF look better than they are. Was Bret interviewed for the screwjob piece? No. Was Shawn? Yes. Vince? Yes. Seems to me that we didn't get all sides of the story, now did we?

Tombstone is a great movie and I got the reference.

I will buy this DVD, I'm a sucker for old wrestling footage on DVD.

I do believe Bret vs HBK was a good match, until you-know-what.

and well, Bret vs Bulldog is one of the best WWF matches ever.
