Two I can think of would have to be the Smackdown before SurvivorSeries 2001, when Austin and The Rock go face to face for the first time since the Rocks return and start using each others catchphrases and then near the end they sing a duet. My second choice would be the time when Angle kidnaps Austin after Austin throws his medals in the river (I think it was just before Unforgiven 2001). What would you have? Cactus Jack's return Bulldog vs Triple H, with The Rock as special ref. Rock counting with microphone in hand: "One.....two.....IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE ROCK COUNTS TO THREE! Team Angle! TLC 3, and Jeff's leapfrog Legdrop from a ladder, over another through Bubba and the announce table. Austin's return before Backlash where the McMahons looked for Austin all night, and in the end Austin destroyed the D-X Bus. Edge and Rey winning the Tag Titles John Cena and Los Guerreros confrontation backstage last week, where Cena went mad in his rapper talk and The Guerreros spoke in the Massachusets accent. Wow, Heyman sure played the heel there when everything he said about Vince was right and then he got what he "deserved"! Hell, Vince didn't even defend all of the points that Heyman made against him. (w/ the loafers) on Bulldog, and before that, "ONE...TWO...IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THE ROCK COUNTS TO THREE!" Heyman's promo pre-SS. Fuck the ending. Everything he said BEFORE THAT was classic. Benoit takes the chair, "Don't hit me Mr. Benoit.", "It's OK, Chavo..." BAMM! You LOVE Benoit and Angle beating the Guerreros! TLC 3...BENOIT HEADBUTTS THE TABLE!!! Benoit's 10 straight Germans in Edmonton, too. I still mark out for The Rock/Triple H from the very first SD!, when Michaels Superkicked Rocky in the middle of the elbow. That was pretty sweet. Guest papacita Report post Posted January 1, 2003 -HBK turning on the Rock during the match with HHH on the Smackdown premier. -The Heyman promo from last year. -Taker throwing Austin through the window then attacking him in the ambulance. I know Austin did it in 97, but this was so funny. Between Austin's whining ("I'm Steve Austin, I don't deserve to be treated like this") and Taker saying "HELLO BOYS" when he bursted out of the ambulance, that whole angle had me dying. -The Smackdown Tag Tournament match between Los Guerreros and Benoit/Angle (including the backstage segments leading up to the match) -Mankind's transformation into Cactus Jack -TLC 3 -Rock almost busting his ass doing the People's Elbow on the British Bulldog (the one where he slid in before he dropped the elbow. Guest The Mighty Damaramu Report post Posted January 1, 2003 I really enjoyed the one with the buried alive match between Rock'n'Sock and UT/Show. When Show graps Foley and throws him off the stage and into the grave it was fucking sick. Then when HHH interferes at the end hitting show right in the small of the back with the sledge(when it was actually devastating and not used like a steel chair) was pretty sweet. But the best part was when HHH opened the ambulance door and Austin jumped out and whipped his ass. It was a great show. I wish WWE TV still had moments like that.
