I was expecting a lot more from Jubuki's side, but so far it's been the younger guys carrying this thread and Jubuki hitting a couple of spots. Sad really. So it's safe to say that: Jingus > Jubuki in NHB. Maybe when Jubuki learns a little more of the NHB posting style he can hang with the big boys, but for right now he should go back to what he knows. Nope, way too long and over-blown. Pure bile like that must be kept concise, or it loses impact real quickly. He gets points for wishing disease on the boards in general, but took way too much time getting there. And it was all centred too much around wrestling knowledge, which comes off as pedantic. He should have spread to pastures new. However, many of the responses suffered exactly the same problem as his post - too overlong, too many non-specific insults and a bit boring. The "has no life/girlfriend gambit plus retort replying X does have life/girlfriend" is old and tired out. If someone had accused Jubuki of lacking a willy, things could have improved. No, all hope for this thread was lost when El Brujo's call for insight into the world of puropathy went ignored. We all could have learned something, but instead crumble to ashes. Guest godthedog Report post Posted January 15, 2003 it could've been so much more. banky tried to find a weak point (i.e., "you have no life") and worked it for all it was worth while still giving us the trademark dick-and-fart banky offense to keep the crowd into it, but jubuki just sandbagged him on it and no-sold everything. jubuki's timing was off (waiting for long periods of time before throwing in short, uninspired offensive bursts), and the constant no-selling never really made it look like he was in any danger, taking all the drama out of the argument. and where was the big comeback at the end? banky immediately took the offensive, making jubuki into the de facto underdog, but he never let us root for him. in all fairness though, banky did his fair share of no-selling to jubuki's main offense (i.e., "you have no idea what the fuck you're talking about") as well. bottom line: both guys let their egos get in the way of having a good argument, and they both ended up looking bad as a result. *1/4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

As for Jubuki's chokeslam, you just don't understand how well the move has been built up over the years. It's a devastating maneuver, and that matters more than ANY overblown bump that people usually do to sell the move. It's realistic and good.
