Guest wwF1587 Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 looks like there is already a preview so i wont post it here.
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 Confidential goes "behind the scenes" of Raw X. Heh...interesting. Wonder if Gene will even mention Heenan?
EL DANDY~! Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 It's INDY NIGHT AT VELOCITY!!! American FUCKING DRAGON vs. JAIME FUCKING NOBLE. I am SO fucking there...plus Xavier and somebody else get a shot on TV. I LOVE THIS SHIT.
Guest LatinoHeat Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Ahhh. You beat me. . Velocity looks like it will shit all over Confidential. I'm looking forward to it.
The Dames Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Well, to answer that question....American Dragon went by his real name tonight, Bryan Danielson. Dames
The Dames Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Josh Matthews just called him the American Dragon, but said that he was trained by HBK. I guess he got his indy guys mixed up. Dames
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Wow... I didn't expect a guy who goes by the name 'American Dragon' to look so much like a 1980s Superstars jobber....
Guest El Satanico Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I was wondering if this guy was American Dragon. I've seen a picture of him and thought this guy looked like him. Seems as if Velocity may be starting to be booked as a show with good wrestling featuring some Indy stars. Could this be WWE attempting to combat the X Division without admitting that TNA could be a potential threat.
The Dames Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I wish that he would have gotten a chance to bust out Cattle Mutilation, but I understand why he didn't. Match was pretty good for Velocity. Dames
Guest Zero_Cool Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 That match was good. Kinda funny, though, how the crowd was chanting "tighty whities" at AD. He should've gone with some new tights or something. He was going for the dragon suplex, and I wish that he would've hit it, too.
Guest LatinoHeat Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Wow. I'm surprised that announcer knew what the roaring elbow was. Raw Retro.
The Dames Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Josh Matthews actually called Noble, Jamie "BY GOD" Noble, which I haven't heard since his days in OVW and other indys. Dames
Guest creativename Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Josh Matthews just called him the American Dragon, but said that he was trained by HBK. I guess he got his indy guys mixed up. Dames American Dragon WAS trained by HBK, at HBK's school. Politics is probably the only reason he's getting a shot, in fact. I was actually quite impressed by the announcer bringing that up. This is my first time watching Velocity (for AD and Spanky)--who is this guy?
Guest Zero_Cool Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I dug how Mathews called the roaring elbow, he made it seem like it was an important move. Perhaps he is a Masato Tanaka fan... They should give Jamie that middle name..it's pretty catchy.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Wow... I didn't expect a guy who goes by the name 'American Dragon' to look so much like a 1980s Superstars jobber.... Me too. I always imagined him to look kind of like Ultimo Dragon, with the mask that is connected to a chest thing.

The Dames Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Xavier, the Ring of Honor Champion, is now in the ring with Chuck Palumbo. Dames
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Xavier~! ...and he looks like a midget compared to Chucky...
Guest Zero_Cool Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I remember reading a profile for Dragon that was, I think, from APW, which said that Michaels trained him. So, meh. Those European uppercuts were beautiful, though. Of course, Noble sold them very well.
Guest bob_barron Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Stars chanting AC Slater!! Wait- American Dragon was trained by Regal???
The Dames Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 You should see his matches with Low-Ki. Some of the most stiff, technical matches anywhere in the US. Dames
Guest El Satanico Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Hey look Chuck made a nice move with that kicking him over the top rope while he did the jumping on the knee move
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 after that match.... I think AD should stand for "Albino Dragon" .... just WAY too much white on that guy I too was expecting a mask of some kind
The Dames Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 Wait- American Dragon was trained by Regal??? I've heard that many times, the Michaels thing is news to me. Dames
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 this match would rock with a couple wheelbarrow suplexs... oh well....and that kick seemed STIFF AS ALL HELL
Guest bob_barron Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 American Dragon is even more awesome then I thought
The Dames Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 DAMN....Chuck has Xavier's hand print on his chest! X rolling through that 450 splash was pretty cool too. Dames
Guest El Satanico Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 That match surprisingly wasn't that bad. Would've been better with someone like Tajiri. However when you consider that it was with Chuck it wasn't that bad.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 http://superstars.allprowrestling.com/prof...erican%20Dragon check out the first paragraph..and they have his entrance video on the site? edit: Only two more to 1000...whoa.
Guest The Amazing Rando Posted January 19, 2003 Report Posted January 19, 2003 I need to start watching Velocity more often...
