EL DANDY~! 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 All I have is a cable preview... "Who won the Royal Rumble? Bischoff is unleashed..." If this sucks as much as last night...I will KILL Brian Gerwitz for coming up with this shit...
Guest candie45 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Quite early for the thread, but... I hope that Jericho doesn't look like a penis tonight after looking pretty decent in the Rumble. And I hope they don't focus on him being eliminated and not winning like Shawn in 95, 'cause God knows JR has to bring that up 50x/12mins.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted January 20, 2003 First and foremost, I think it would be best for Scott Steiner to not even show up for the show. Just my opinion. Secondly, I don't want to hear or see the RAW brand promote and replay segments of the PPV that Smackdown made good. RAW should just scrap it all, and start over this Monday. The Dudley Boyz Vs. Commonwealth Connection was anything but fabulous. Jericho did decent in the Rumble, so maybe they could play that up. I seriously think that HBK Vs. Jericho could be good. I just don't see why HBK had to return to the RR match. I don't even know what to say. I wish Jim Ross still did the Ross Report so I could read him calling the show "disappointing in parts, but a great all around effort." That fat bastard is so full of shit. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Jericho should go nuts, claiming he wants to retire HBK, and start by squishing Test, completely cleanly.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Jericho should go nuts, claiming he wants to retire HBK, and start by squishing Test, completely cleanly. What would he gain? Test is a tweener. It's not like they're going to transfer any heat.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 20, 2003 SQUASH TEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I still don't see how that will help Jericho. Test is a tweener and people already didn't know if they should be overjoyed or pissed that Jericho was tossed in the rumble. A match against a tweener the next night continues to lose his definition. Although I guess if they want to slowly switch him over to face by the time they go to Montreal, it's a pretty good move. Although, if you want to bury Test (both verbally and jobbing him out) just for being Test, I'm all for it. Maybe they can find a way to work him into the Katie Vick tragedy scene, as that was pretty effective at wiping away support for Kane.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Hell, have Batista squash gim. Just for being the guy that eliminated Jericho. And for being Test
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted January 20, 2003 What if Bisch's bombshell is a promise of a return of Austin like JR's promise to bring Diesel and Razor Ramon back on Raw, if you get my idea...
Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted January 20, 2003 No the bombshell is going to be the blond bombshell himself. Thats right Kevin returns tonight, he is bringing his beer gut, non existant wrestling talent and a bag full of fun with him tonight.

Guest The Old Me Report post Posted January 20, 2003 What if Bisch's bombshell is a promise of a return of Austin like JR's promise to bring Diesel and Razor Ramon back on Raw, if you get my idea... I think I know what you're saying and if I'm right, then we should NEVER speak of this again.
Guest jester Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Do you think they will continue to push Jericho as the heel? From what I read, HBK looked like the real sorehead from last night.
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I'd push Jericho as a face. Especially since next PPV is on Montreal and HBK will not be received well there. Or they can just play up the fact Jericho is Canadian. He really should be turned though.
Guest eirejmcmahon Report post Posted January 20, 2003 It wouldn't surprise me to see HHH's next victim debut tonight.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 As long as I see my faves tonight, I'll be happy. And if I see HHH...hey, I can always flip to Queer as Folk = )
Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I bet that we will be seeing a news segment on how the WWE sent Steiner for training. Man, he was gassed in that match. I have a feeling that Eric's annoucement will either be.... A) WORST CASE SCENARIO: HHH vs Steiner (REMATCH) B) He promises that Austin will return C) Reset button......strips EVERYONE of their titles, but to generate some heel heat, he won't take HHH's belt, because him and Flair convince him not to..... I really hope B or C happens......but if C were to happen, I hope they still strip HHH of the title.
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Strip HHH of the title? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 RAW comes to you live tonight (9/8 CT on the new TNN). Eric Bischoff has less than one month to make some dramatic changes to RAW and appease his boss, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Expect the RAW General Manager to do whatever it takes to avoid being fired. What innovative ideas will Bischoff employ? Rumor has it that tonight's episode of RAW could turn into an outrageous show. Tune in to TNN tonight at 9/8 CT to see what tricks Bischoff pulls out! Scott Steiner can not be happy with the outcome of his match against Triple H last night at the Royal Rumble. Steiner picked up a win over The Game, but since he prevailed due to a disqualification, the World Heavyweight Championship didn't fall into his hands. Will Big Poppa Pump continue to chase the championship? Will a new challenger to the title step forward? Find out tonight! The Dudley Boyz are World Tag Team Champions once again. Which tandem will be the first to step up to the new champs? What will happen when Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho step into the same building following their clash during the Royal Rumble Match? Get all the answers tonight on RAW, starting at 9/8 CT on the new TNN! Check back here later today to learn what matches have been announced for the night. Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted January 20, 2003 "C) Reset button......strips EVERYONE of their titles, but to generate some heel heat, he won't take HHH's belt, because him and Flair convince him not to....." Victoria and the Dudleyz would be awful pissed, since they're the only title-holders besides HHH...
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted January 20, 2003 packwingfn- did you say "RAW" and "good" in the same sentence? I wouldn't count on it. I'll watch for a while to see what kind of vibe I get, but if it sucks (it has the past, oh 20-25 weeks, if not more) I'll be playing Tiger Woods 2003 like always. Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 But, New Me, you might miss some PSYCHO HOTNESS~!
Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I don't want them to turn Jericho face, but they better damn give him some props for lasting as long as he did. I think Bisch is going to bring in Goldberg since he and Goldberg are friends and he's going to most likely pull into his WCW bag of tricks. He'll then add either SCSA or Rock later on yet still probably get fired. While it wouldn't suprise me if they fired Steiner, I don't think you can really fit that into a decent storyline to justify. They'll probably keep him around for name purposes and put him in a tag team where he doesn't have to do much but talk.
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted January 20, 2003 I'll be there live tonight, and will pop on TSM when I get in (if I'm not dead tired...college starts up again tomorrow...). I was worried about how the show would turn out, due to the repetitive nature of shittiness that has been RAW's trademark the last several months, because this will be my girlfriends first live event. Sadly, after last night's Triple H/Steiner match, I can honestly say I fear for her enjoyment. Bischoff had better have a damn good surprise.
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 But if he was put in a tag team, who would be his partner? What pisses me off most about Steiner is that with a simple and retarded catch phrase, he killed off an angle. Kane, Hurricane, and Goldust all considered themselves "freaks". But that would dispute with Steiner's catch phrase so of course it had to be dropped.
Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted January 20, 2003 Strip HHH of the title? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! I knew someone would say that. I'd would have reacted the same. I just hope the crap they wrote in the RAW preview does happen. What if RAW does turn out to be an outrageous show?
Guest The Old Me Report post Posted January 20, 2003 What if RAW does turn out to be an outrageous show? Don't get me wrong. I'd like nothing more than to be blown away (TM Buddy Rose) by tonights show, thus restarting a wrestling boom of sorts. I just doubt it will happen, and with good reason. Although the first time I see Austin again, I'll mark out a little.
