Guest Human Fly Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., has released Raven and Justin Credible from their contracts. WWE wishes both men good luck in their future endeavours. There it is. It sucks about Raven they never really used him well.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Dumb asses. Shows they have no idea what they're doing since they've been working with Raven on Heat and then even moved him to Raw.
Guest HartFan86 Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Then what the fuck was the point of putting him on TV the last couple of days? BS.
The Dames Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 What was the point of him finally winning back the right to go to Raw? Idiots. I hope TNA picks up Raven. Dames
Guest LJSexay Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 honestly... what the FUCK were they thinking firing a guy who's had a solid storyline going for months? Why bother doing ANYTHING with ANYONE if they just fire them?
Guest Human Fly Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Also, why bother with remaking his image and giving him a haircut? I wonder if maybe he had a fight with the office and that was that. If not and they are on another cutting spree I expect Steiner to be next.
Guest Celtic Jobber Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 God I hate WWE! Raven is one of the most talented yet misused wrestlers in the history of WWE. Great job Vince, releasing Raven yet keeping that piece of shit Jeff Hardy under contract and pushing Scott Steiner the biggest waste of money since Kevin Nash. Way to fucking go!
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Aggh.. I had so much fun with Masterpiece jokes. "The objective of The Masterpiece is to get Raven on TV" "The objective of The Masterpiece is to get Internet Smarks talking about The Masterpiece." "The objective of The Masterpiece is to job to Jeff Hardy." I guess it's time for one more. The objective of The Masterpiece is to get Raven fired.
Mecha Mummy Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Thanks Vince, for knowing what the fans want! We don't want Raven and his excellent promos! We want A-Train! And Batista! And TEST! Fucking morons over in Connecticut. That's it, I'm bringing a "Where's Raven?" sign to Wrestlemania.
Rob E Dangerously Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 CALM THE FUCK DOWN Raven probably asked for his release. Just like he did in WCW. As for Raven in TNA. Does TNA want a 40 year old washed up wrestler who looks horrible and hasn't done anything worth a damn in 5 years (maybe.. they gave Piper a mic)
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Who cares? It's Raven...his best days are waaaay behind him and he sucked the big one lately anyways.
Guest Whatmaniac Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Good for the WWF. Raven has been washed up since 1999 and signing Credible was a mistake in the first place. Hopefully, the WWF will continue to purge dead weight from their rosters. Perhaps Raven can get rehired as a booker.
Guest IB2BLACK Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Let's be honest, Raven hasn't done anything significant in years. I'm sure he could've done something but he hasn't., in a long time.
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Gosunkugi said it best. Nooo, we don't want promos that actually make you THINK, we want promos filled with catch-phrases. Yeah.... ooooh, quick, give Steiner and HHH the mic! Hell, give 'em a half hour to POSE!! Yeah, that's what everyone pays their money for!:angry:
Guest Rob Edwards Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Scott Levy should have taken the headset when he was offered it
Rob E Dangerously Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Let me give you one difference between A-Train and Batista in comparison to Raven. Raven is 10 years older than both of them. Face the facts.. you people are overreacting and thinking that the WWE fired Raven, WHEN IN FACT the most likely result is that Raven asked for his release upon hearing that nothing was planned for him. It is Raven's fault that Raven is not working for the WWE any more. Not the WWE's fault. Do you keep somebody who was over in 1996, or somebody who could be over in 2003? You plan for the future, not for the past. Even if Raven blew the house down with anger and heat against Jeff Hardy.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Gosunkugi said it best. Nooo, we don't want promos that actually make you THINK, we want promos filled with catch-phrases. Yeah.... ooooh, quick, give Steiner and HHH the mic! Hell, give 'em a half hour to POSE!! Yeah, that's what everyone pays their money for!:angry: I'm pretty sure his promos weren't designed to make you think. They were just him rambling about nothing and pulling weird shit out of his ass. He's not this genius on the mic that has all these hidden meanings and dark secrets in what he says.
Guest bob_barron Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Raven should've stayed in the commentary position I guess. RAW doesn't need anymore broken down washed up wrestlers. (Feel free to make the Regal joke as I realise I set myself up with that one)
Guest Repo Man jr Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 How will they explain Justin's absence on tv?
Yuna_Firerose Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Still, they could've hired him for the heat commentary spot. He's way better than Lita.
Guest IB2BLACK Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 What is the obsession with this guy. I been on several other boards, and people are pissed. Over what?
Guest bob_barron Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 He didn't want to do it Yuna. He asked to be taken off so the man dug his own grave
Guest Eagan469 Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 How will they explain Justin's absence on tv? *rim-shot*
syxx2001 Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 because the man can still actually wrestle in the ring. sure his best days were in his fued with tommy dreamer back in ecw. and he was semi great with his flock in wcw. you name me one man who is past 35 and can still put on a entertaining match when given the time and the oppurtunity. taker? please. maybe the deadman. austin? possibly with the right opponent. hogan? flair? piper? rhodes? raven might be past his prime, but HIS fans still know the man can put on great matches when he is given a chance, something he wasn't given in the wwf.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Over 35? Benoit, Austin, Booker T. there's 3. And he could not put on a good match. I haven't seen a good Raven match since he feuded with Benoit in WCW.
Guest dreamer420 Posted January 20, 2003 Report Posted January 20, 2003 Raven hasn't had a good match since his Hardcore title match with Rhyno at Backlash 2001. His in ring work hasn't been the same since WCW so I'm not surprised by his release. Justin Credible was never really given a fair shot during his WWE tenure. His biggest angle was the DX ripoff of X Factor and that got him no where. As a former ECW champion he was never really push like he should of been as he played a pretty damn good heel IMO.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 This really isn't a big deal since nobody really wants or needs to see Raven and JC. Besides, the WWE needs to find some way to pay the 2 Tough Enough winners this Thursday. I will still enjoy Heat with Lita every Sunday just fine without those 2.
