Some guys get one shot at getting over

Recommended Posts

I think it's amazing how a guy like Test can get sooooooo many oppurtunitis and makeovers to get over........and yet a guy like Ron Killings, Jerry Lynn and other good workers dont even get their chance. I would understand if Test had great charisma, but he has none whatsoever and sucks mongoose dick on the mic. What the hell has this guy done to derserve all the chances he gets:

1)comes in as the Corporation hired gun as Michael Cole stated several thousand time.

2)Turns face as is put in a love angle with Stephanie McMahon with wedding set for TV, only to get left at altar.

3)Comes back as a heel as forms the team of T&A with Albert and Trish

4)Is turned on by Albert and turns face yet again on his own

5)Joins alliance after a brief absense and turns heel yet again

6)IS granted immunity for a year from the WWE

7)Hates USA all of a sudden and becomes and Un-American

8)Teams up with Stacy and becomes a testicle.......

And what do all of these thing have in common....the freakin guy didnt get over in ANY of them. He was paired with the 2 hottest girls at different time.....put in a story with the boss's daughter...numberous turns....and nothing....So my question is this. Why the hell do they keep trying with this guy? Is he that freakin valueable. I can't believe its just Shane keeping him around. Please someone help me on this

It's quite scary, anytime you ask a WWF superstar who the future is, they name Test. The future will suck.

The guy has had one good match. He has no real visible talent or charisma, and the only way WWE could think of to get him over (and he's not) was by associating himself with his girlfriend and talking about his balls? Just get rid of him. It's not working and it never will.

It's pretty apparent by now that the WWE pushes who they want when they want. And Test is who they want.

But why......why do they WANT to push him. It's not good for them its not good for business.....What is it about him that they love, just because he's big and has a good physique. The sad thing is that the guy has good athleticism, and has a couple of nifty power moves, but he just can't seem to put a match together to save his life. It's time to give it up and give the push to someone else.

Because he's Shane McMahon's friend.

And on other people they push who aren't you know friends with higher ups. The reason they push them is because Vince has it set in his head what a star is supposed to be and what he is supposed to look like. And no matter how low ratings go or how much money he loses he will not change that notion of what a star is. And unfortunately Test is that image.

Well, what you guys are saying is the truth. Vince couldn't possibly be anymore out of touch with the fans. Time to pass it on to Shane....then again if Shane was in charge Test would probably get the Diesel treatment holding the World, WWE, and tag team titles at the same time. I actually think JR has a lot to do with this shit too. He's a hoss pimp and everyone he talks good about gets pushed.

Don't forget about wrestlers who get over without the WWFs help and still don't get their chance. Sooner or later after having nothing done with them their heat dies out and they either become jobbers or get released. In the meantime Jeff Hardy and Test continue to be pushed.

No you see Shane doesn't have this preconcieved notion of what a star is like Vince. But he wouldn't be any better because judging from what we've seen I'd assume he thinks "What makes a star? Well he's my friend so that gets him a HUGE plus right off the bat." If Shane was in charge he'd push his friends.

If Steph was in charge she'd push whoever HHH told her to. And I'm almost positive she has the same preconcieved notion as her dad.

Linda has the same notion as Vince.

I really don't think any of the McMahon's have an open enough mind to be doing what they're doing, I mean it shocks me they've made it this far. But the empire is crumbling and they are being revealed for what they are.

To get this company to turn around the McMahons need to cease control of the booking. Everyone has their faults though....Paul Heyman overbooks sometimes, Eric Bischoff is only interested in the big name stars, Jim Cornette might be a little too oldschool. Who the hell would do the booking?

I'd say Pat Patterson, but wasn't he the one who booked that mess with the Undertaker, Janetty, Yokozuna, etc. at the '94 Rumble.

Plus Shane has a hard on for him.

You know, there were a few stories written about...uh...never mind. ^_^

Yeah, but that's probably fact, as opposed to your "slash" fiction.

How about everyone sits down and discusses it like adults when they book a show? That way the head bookers hard on doesn't become apparent on TV. I mean they shouldn't even have a head booker. They should have a committee that decides then shows it to Vince. As opposed to everyone talking and then Gerwitz or Steph putting in what they like.

I agree Mighty......A booking committee would probably be very good. How about having former wrestlers like Dean Malenko book. They have to be much more in touch with the fanbase than some soap opera writers who know nothing about wrestling.
