IMDB.com's worst 100 movies of all time

Recommended Posts

Guest Youth N Asia

I don't know if this has been posted before, but here it is. IMDB is the ultimate site to look up movies...you can also rate a movie from 1-10, and people do so.

These are the 100 lowest rated movies of all time. First the order the movie finished (Backyard Dogs is #1, meaning the worst movie ever!), then the year it came out, then the score it has, and then how many people actually voted on it.

I figured this would be a decient discussion thread.

I liked Manos, dammit! I even re-watched it the other day, and the stark realism of it blows me away. It's a movie full of parts that wouldn't normally be in other movies, like lots of standing around and awkward pauses. And of course, I adore the ending.

Damn those who voted The Stupids. I loved that movie and I thought it was an underrated comedy.

I love the Friday the 13th movies, they're complete crap, but I could care less. I can understand #8 making the list, but #5 wasn't as bad or WORSE as they say. If anything 9 should be on the list.

And for a dumb as shit horror movie, I almost liked Pet Sematary. And I want to see fear.com, I didn't know people viewed it as one of the worst movies ever though.

And I have to see Troll 2 just cause people tell me it's Godawful

Not a lot of Police Academy love there.

A few guilty pleasures for me are on the list. Smokey and the Bandit III, Leonard Part 6, Allan Quartermaine and the Lost City of Gold, Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.

A few films people must have only seen on MST3K. I remember checking that list probably a year ago and just about every movie from the last season of MST3K were on there and ranked pretty much in the order of the last shown. I don't think you can rightfully judge how bad a movie is until you watch it straight without the saving grace of Servo, Crow, Joel or Mike getting you through it.

I debate the validity of this list. I love IMDB, they are a great resource for any and all movie info, but when it comes to this list, it's simply the opinion of those posters on IMDB. I own more than half of these movies, and while I can say I love bad movies (and many of them are), they are not the "worst of all time". You mean to tell me Crossroads or Rollerball was worse than Test Tube Teens From The Year 2000, Blackbelt 2:Fatal Force, or The Party Animal. I'm not so sure about that one. Coming from someone with "good taste in bad movies", there are much more worse out there, whether you like these movies or not. I think C.H.U.D. would back me up on this too.

Everything from 1 through 30 was correct

Lots of things from 30 on up aren't nearly as bad as they say they are.

I counted, and I've actually seen about 41 of the movies on that list.

I agree on Backyard Dogs. That movie is a detriment to EVERYTHING. It reflects poorly upon backyard wrestling and nu-metal worse than both already do it to themselves, the acting is atrocious, the "fight-scenes" are fucking pathetic, and the movie is boring as hell.

But where's the Black Mask 2 hate?! Or Children Of The Living Dead?! Or The Crow: City Of Angels?!

Overall, pretty accurate list of shit movies. Sure, I enjoy half of them (ESPECIALLY the Police Academy movies, all of which I can watch at any given moment...except Mission To Moscow), and I don't think Leonard Part 6 and Lawnmower Man 2 are NEARLY as bad as Battlefield Earth, Superman IV, Jaws: The Revenge, or Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Next Generation...but hey, whatever.

This is about the only movie I'd disagree with. I bought the movie a while ago because I was obsessed with Tim Curry, but after watching it, I realized it's a pretty good movie.

Except for TC dying..........he does that a lot, apparently.

I agree - like any top X list, it's all very subjective. However I can't argue that Backyard Dogs is quite deserving of the dishonour. If anyone disagrees then I think we need to have a "shoot-out".

I can't believe that Bolero ranked so low, though. I mean, sure it's a crap movie, but Bo Derek's tits alone should've put it lower (higher?) down the list...

I've seen 68 (consider yourself smoked) , and God help me, I like almost all of them. Maybe my taste in movies is just bad, or maybe that list is BULLSHIT... but either way... damn.

Anyone up for making a Smartmarks Official 100 Worst Movies of all time? Not shit that you figure will suck. Not typical guy answers like "Let's put Steel Magnolias on there!". I mean scrape up all the shit we've seen, and compile it. I'm sure guys like myself, C.H.U.D., Evenflow, Ratsmilk, etc., who love a bad movie, have seen some SHIT in our lives.

The Stupids was a funny movie. I mean, "I'm my own Grandpa" owns you. "Lod" (I believe it was Lod) was really funny. The conviction each cast member played their roles with made it worth while.

The Pest is just classic american cinema. It is perhaps the only movie I have watched 3 times in one day. Sean Connerys birthday?!

McHales navy was good! "I was up at the crack of noon" (paraphrased) FUNNY! Why the tom arnold hate? Why?

Bio-dome rocked. It did. Come on. You know it. It rocked.

Police Academy 4: COP, was great. It had Tim Kazurinsky...Why no love for Tim Kazurinsky ? Why?

Due to MST3K, Manos is one of the funniest movies in history. I don't even need to hear their commentary when I watch it anymore.

Didn't pay much attention to the movie, but Sammy Desoto was the best character on there, second only to that bitchy old lady...Weezer?

Agreed. Whatever happened to Pauly Shore, anyways?

He'll probably be on the next Surreal Life. If there is a next one.

Fuck Shore. He was born to be in In The Army Now and Bio-Dome (which was TOTALLY carried by William Atherton and Stephen Baldwin) only.

And Zack, I'm game for a "SmartMarks 100 Biggest Piles-O-Shit Flicks Ever" poll.

OK, so that's one person in.

When we get enough, I'll start the "official" thread for it. Basically, list any and all suckfests you've seen. We'll wane them down as we go along. Also, we should probably put a bit of description with what we list. Some people might not know what certain movies are. IMDB only helps so much.

I didn't see Bio-Dome on there the first glance. To THINK, that any film with you-know-who in it could ever be on a worst ANYTHING list is absolutely inexcusable. I will never visit imdb.com again.

And that's a SHOOT, BRUTHA!

Hey Dandy...KILL ME.

Whenever someone asks me what are the two worst movies I've ever seen in a theater, I say The Pest and Mortal Kombat Annihilation. That's the only two times I left the theater totally upset that I spent my money.
