Bull said he asked for his release from the WWE to pursue other options. He said he has no regrets as he spent 7 great years with WWE. He thanked Jim Ross and Vince McMahon but said it was Jim Cornette who gave him his first shot. The WWE gave him the chance to visit places he never thought he would never see. Bull said his greatest times with the company were with The Right To Censor Group. Steven Richards, Val Venus, The Goodfather and himself had tremendous heat. He was also comfortable with his role with John Cena. He called Cena the next big talent, comparing him with Chris Jericho. He said it was his idea to add "Boo Yah" after Cena's raps. He said even with the WWE attendances down, the moral in the back is still up. Bull said the boys know they have the greatest job in the world. Bull likes to wrestle in smaller packed venues than large arenas half full. He said better times are on the horizon with Austin and The Rock on the way back. Bull also said Goldberg in the future could be huge. He spoke a lot about competition, saying there is a friendly rivalry between Raw and Smackdown. He said he hopes NWA-TNA does well as it will only make WWE better. He said no competition will compare to Raw versus Nitro. I was just starting to dig B2 as Cena's hip hop sidekick, when Redd Dogg surpassed him for that role. So what does everyone think? Who's better? B2......or......The NOTORIOUS D.O.G ?

Yeah, but I saw his WWE.com bio, and it said that even though he is, he likes rap. It probably is true, and that's how he got given the role with Cena in the first place.

And I'm torn. I'd think if someone would lie and say they asked for a release, they'd be talking shit about the company. If he has nothing but good things to say about the WWE, why would he say that? Either way, I'll miss the big guy and really hope he lands on his feet and sees good fortune in whatever he decides to pursue next.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted February 5, 2003 Report Posted February 5, 2003 I have a feeling he was asked to ask for his release. Usually that's what's best for all parties. I wish Buchannan luck. I never thought he was so horrible. I remember when I went to Backlash 2000 the only bad match (Bossman/Bull vs. APA) was made interesting by Bull's agile moves. It was impressive watching him springboard into legdrops and such. Plus I thought BOOYAH! was funny. Cena supposed to be a cornball and not a serious heel, so Bull's clueless persona fits it better than Redd Dawg.

I also agreed with him about that whether or not NWA: TNA or any other wrestling company has what it takes to go head-to-head with the WWE, it just won't make up with the ledgendary WCW vs. WWF Monday Night Wars feud. Man, do I miss those days. Good luck to him in the future though. I don't wish bad luck on any wrestler, good worker or not.

I thought the idea of Ghetto Bull Buchanan was hilarious in its ridiculousness. He was getting this hoss push. What the hell are you talking about? B2 was a LACKEY, for god's sake! They didn't put him over like Brock or Batitsta, he was just Bull Buchanan, lackey to the midcarders! He beat Rikishi. And thank god for that. Bull may not be good, but he's better than Rikishi, and Rikishi won't go away. He had no talent. NO talent? He wasn't good, but for a big man he was pretty agile. He shouldn't be in this business. Thank god we have people who frequent message boards to tell us who should be in the wrestling business and who shouldn't. I wish him good luck in the indies, and he seems to be very optimistic about the future, which I'm grateful to see. It's too bad he got replaced by Redd Dogg, because B2 was a lot funnier to watch.
