Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted March 22, 2003 It was funny in the 3rd quarter when Madson had the ball and did not know what to do with it. That was pretty much in every quarter.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 22, 2003 After the Lakers/Kings game somebody from the Kings (maybe somebody that works for the team but probably a crazy fan) stole Shaq's 20,000th point game ball and scribbled something "offensive" on it. Good for them. Man you are an asshole. If somebody would do that to something of mine I would be piss. You would turn into piss if someone defaced your ball? What the Kings did isn't cool but since it happened to Shaq I'll let it slide
Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted March 22, 2003 my bad i meant pissed, fucking with somebody's property isn't right, specially when its a basketball that shaq used to score his 20,000th career point. I just read a quote from Shaq and he is pissed. I think the kings have no chance of beating the lakers this year in the playoffs. You don't piss off Shaq
Guest Johnson1620 Report post Posted March 22, 2003 What's with all the Shaq hate. Is it becasue he's the best center to ever play the game? Or is there some jealousy there from all the 5 foot tall white guys who will never make as much money as him? Seriously though, that person should be found and dealt with. That was uncalled for and very immature. Plus can you image what you could get for that ball on e-bay?
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted March 22, 2003 I didn't know someone stole his ball and wrote all over it. That was great. That illiterate bitch deserved it. Seriously though, that person should be found and dealt with. That was uncalled for and very immature. I think the Big Aristotle got what was coming to him. Talking all that smack. He'd be lucky if the Lakers make the playoffs! Who cares about that stupid ball? It's probably worth more now with the offensive writing.
Guest alkeiper Report post Posted March 22, 2003 Is it becasue he's the best center to ever play the game? Best center? Could he pilot an airplane after dragging Bill Walton up and down the court for 48 minutes a night? Plus can you image what you could get for that ball on e-bay? Cash I imagine. Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted March 22, 2003 Bill Walton has nothing on Shaq, walton in my opinion is jealous of shaq, he does nothing but put him down on commentary. Shaq is by far the best center of his time, you can't compare hi to Chamerlain, Russel, and Jabbar because they played in different eras. Just like you can't compare Bonds to Ruth, etc.. Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 22, 2003 So are the Lakers losing on purpose again so they can play the Kings in the 1st round?

Guest Jericholic82 Report post Posted March 23, 2003 I hate the lakers, if only cuz of fickle fans in LA. the term front-runner has a whole new meaning out here. also everyone talks crap about the yanks dominating from 96, 98-2000 but not about the lakers? (anti-ny i guess) man its hard to be a fromer new yorker living in suny california
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2003 Is anyone watching the Spurs/Lakers game on ABC? I just started watching this, and it looks like the Lakers have fallen apart.
Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted March 23, 2003 I've been watching March Madness... and just tuned in. Looks like the Lakers are making it a game. 86-79.. Lakers have shot over 50% in the fourth. I think the Spurs will pull this one out. If they do... then I think that will make the season series 3-0. And it shows to me that the Spurs are another team that doesn't fear the Lakers.
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted March 23, 2003 " If they do... then I think that will make the season series 3-0." Spurs just won and that makes the season series 4-0 in favour of San Antonio.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 23, 2003 Bruce Bowen > Mark Madson
Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted March 23, 2003 My bad... 4-0 is even better. I really don't like the Lakers for many reasons. When a team that has had problems against them in the past, is able to sweep them during the regular season, it makes my day that much more brighter. If I am the Lakers, there is no way I would want to play the Spurs in the first round. Or the second. Or the Confrence Finals. As history has shown, when a defending champion no longer puts the fear of God in it's opposition, then it makes it that much more harder to win it all. This year I think that the Spurs and Kings no longer fear the Lakers. It will make the playoffs that much more interesting.
Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted March 23, 2003 i'm a HUGE Lakers fan, but I think the Spurs are the best right now and have the best chance of defeating the Lakers in the playoffs, Kings got nothing on LA, specially at what happened with Shaqs 20,000th point ball. Lakers in the offseason need to add some quality guys to help out Shaq and Kobe, Horry, Fox, and Fisher aren't cutting it this year.

Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted March 25, 2003 Looks like Shaq would like to see Danny Ferry join the team. I always knew he was a freak. No wonder Madsen is always so alert and on the go! He's looking out for Shaq.

Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 25, 2003 The Lakers can have Danny Ferry only if the Spurs can have Samaki Walker. That picture is so wrong in so many ways.
Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted March 25, 2003 That does look bad. Man Danny Ferry will never have to worry about being anal retentive again. Ouch!!! Double ouch to the Lakers being swept by the Spurs.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted March 25, 2003 Double ouch to the Lakers being swept by the Spurs Maybe that was part of the deal. Shaq gets some anal in return for 4 wins.
Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted March 26, 2003 I think the Lakers in the 8th seed would have it easier: Dallas in the first round, then portland or minnesota, then sacremento or san antonio. They would only have to face either sacremento or san antonio once not both
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted March 26, 2003 What the Kings did isn't cool but since it happened to Shaq I'll let it slide. The Kings players didn't have anything to do with the defacing of the ball. A worker from within the Kings organization is suspected to have done it. The Maloofs have stated they are embarassed about the situation and are conducting an investigation into their employees. They are even taking handwriting samples to try to narrow it down. The ball was given to the scorers table after he scored the 20,000th point. The ball was probrably defaced somewhere between the trip to the scorers table and the Lakers lockerroom. The Kings players have nothing to do with this and it is the work of a very ignorant fan who doesn't respect accomplishments. Even if it is a player you hate, you don't do that. Again, the players have nothing to do with this.
Guest Rob Van Dam Report post Posted March 26, 2003 It doesn't matter it wasn't the players, it was somebody in Sacremento's organization.
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted March 26, 2003 Actually in today's Sacramento Bee, it was reported that it was some courtside fans who got their hands on the ball and defaced it. The ball went from the scorer's table to Mitch Kupchak of the Lakers and when he took it to the Lakers lockerroom is when he discovered the vandelism. Most of the fans in Sac that I know, (including myself) are embarassed that a fan would stoop to such low levels over a b-ball feud. It wasn't anyone in the organization and there were more than several eye witnesses who saw the fans who defaced the ball. (the culprits were 2 teenage/early twenties guys and a 10-12 year old)
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted March 27, 2003 Who cares who did it, I just wanna know what it said.
Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted March 27, 2003 I think it said something like "Shaq's an asshole".
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted March 27, 2003 Crazy Dan beat me to it. The ball did indeed say "Shaq is an asshole". Not very cool at all. To Shaq's credit, he was quoted as saying he didn't blame the city of Sacramento and believes it was just some moron. He also put over the Maloofs and the Kings organization as a whole and said they are a first class group despite the rivalry. Kudo's to the guy for not fueling the fire more than it could've.
