Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 I hope the spoilers are fake, but they seem so real.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 20, 2002 How's this for a bet? If they go through with Stephanie winning the title, I open up a barber shop, give Ed Leslie a job, and refuse to serve anybody not named Terry Bollea, Gene Okerlund, or Bill Apter.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 The WWF has officially taken 10 steps backwards with this announcement, and probably another 2 or 3 steps backwards with Regal winning the Euro belt. Given that the WWF netted 5 steps forward last night, IMHO, they're worse off than they started. About the only positive things possibly coming out of this are HHH pinning Steph to put her off of TV or Jericho pinning her to put her off of TV AND win the belt. Unfortunately, this would only make Jericho's image WORSE as he couldn't beat The Game to win the belt.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 20, 2002 And yes, that was sarcasm in my last post.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 The only way I can see Jericho pinning Steph is if HHH realized that nobody likes him... BAH!... Even then he wouldn't care....
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 20, 2002 "Unfortunately, this would only make Jericho's image WORSE as he couldn't beat The Game to win the belt." Maybe, but do you really want to see friggin Trips and taker battle for the #### title?
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted March 20, 2002 To bad you were being sarcastic JHawk. Ed Leslie lives in my home town part of the year (his wife is from here) and he is friends with a someone I know. might have been able to get you his # or address. He came into my my work once last year, he shaved the beard, cut his hair, and got fat for anyone who cares.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 HHH vs. Taker will be a match where an oft-injured, no-selling, slow-moving political bastard that can't get over in their role will come away with the belt. The REAL question is "which one of them am I talking about?".
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 That's funny shit teke...
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 20, 2002 "HHH vs. Taker will be a match where an oft-injured, no-selling, slow-moving political bastard that can't get over in their role will come away with the belt." Dude, you just added some intrigue to the match!
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Maybe, but do you really want to see friggin Trips and taker battle for the #### title? Maybe that's the point. Either it's Taker-Trips for the Title, or we continue to ram Steph down your throats...and she's had a bigger in-ring push than Maven. Christ, even put Maven in there instead of Stephanie. But we need an angle to justify that... Lemme think... GOT IT! We tie her to a limo by her neckbrace and when she walks behind it, we tell the driver to put it into reverse! No, then she'll get the Lucy sympathy heat...
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 That was funny as #### teke.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 20, 2002 "No, then she'll get the Lucy sympathy heat... " I guarantee you she would receive ZERO Lucy sympathy heat. That Bitch's demise would be the most popular segment in WWF history!
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 20, 2002 I guarantee you she would receive ZERO Lucy sympathy heat. That Bitch's demise would be the most popular segment in WWF history! But I thought dogs always got sumpathy heat. Isn't that why we had the Rob Black thread in every folder for a week?
Guest godthedog Report post Posted March 20, 2002 i thought 'raw' was pretty bad last night, but...wow. all my favorite wrestlers are either not there, or not doing anything worth watching anyway. okay, i'm not watching 'smackdown' this week. not watching 'raw' next week, or 'smackdown.' i don't think i'll be watching any wwf television for a while. i can keep updated with sites like these (since it's been more fun lately to read this stuff than to watch the programming), & if i read about something i like, i'll start watching again. Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 20, 2002 ::sitting on his knees:: Jesus. God. Buddha. Witches of the world. Whichever God's the real one. Please help us. We'll never insult anybody who doesn't deserve it ever again. PLEASE don't let Stephanie stay on TV after Monday. Let her live. Outside of that, save us. So did that come off more like Bobby Heenan at Rumble 92, or Brother Love at WMV? Goddamn, Raw's gonna suck.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 20, 2002 OK, I've been bitching about this for an hour. That's my cue to call it a night. Thank God you're allowed to swear on these boards (unless you use d*mn or h*ll). I'm sure my weekly column on slashwrestling is on this if I find out it's legit. Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 After checking out 1wrestling's message board...X-Pac is the new nWo member. So the spoilers here are probably true. Just DON'T LET STEPH WIN THE WWF TITLE!
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Steph won't win the world title. other tahn Vince winning during teh Russo days it has been the only title that hasn't been hugley devalued. Vince knows this (I hope) and wouldn't due something this stupid right at a time when his company might be heading up of of it's recent stagnation.
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 20, 2002 hey, SomeGuy, you have way too much faith in Vince to do the right thing. I wouldn't be surprised if someone told Vince this would shock the wrestling world and help start the next boom. He probably believed it too.

Guest razazteca Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Here is another spin on the GET STEPHANIE OFF TV movement. What if she won the title with a run-in by Vince Russo and he does the retirement tribute title angle with Stephanie. So now the WWF does not have a undisputed champ anymore forceing a HHH vs Jericho #### in a Cell match at Backlash? This angle would futher the concept that Raw is breaking away from WWF by adding "new writers" for its show. This way Raw would be independent from the WWF and Stephanie would be forced off tv. Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Anyone have a clue who Billychuck's manager could be? Anything to keep my mind off Steph winning the belt!
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 20, 2002 If Steph and Russo were to appear on the tv screen at the same time, the amount of suck would kill anyone in a 32 mile radius while burning the retinas of anyone watching on tv. It would be THE darkest hour.
Guest Tony149 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Since the spoilers said the guy looked like Tony Little. I say he's muscular with long blonde hair and a goatee. Male managers seem like they're making a comeback.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Great! Maybe now I can get that job as Jim Cornette Jr. that I always wanted in OVW.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 RVD is on Heat again. the IC title changes nothing.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 They DO have an excuse this week. With Sportz Entertainment going over the top during this week's RAW and Smackdown, almost NO matches have been on those two shows unless they pushed an angle or introduced new wrestlers/personalities. Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 I need to know.....is the new manager MIKE SANDERS!!!! Please say yes. I know he doesn't look like Tony Little, but it was rumored that he was going to be brought in as their manager...and dammit, if Palumbo can dye his hair so can Sanders.
