I'm gonna have to go with Good Helmet here, Tommy hasn't done anything to impress me as far as wrestling ability goes, unless being carried by Raven counts.  I have no problem with Dreamer, he works very hard in teh ring and by all accounts he is a great guy, but he just doesn't have it as a wrestler IMO.  He does bump well, though.

First off, they aren't dumb enough to put the title on Stephanie.  No way in #### would they ever do something that fucking retarded.  HHH just won the belt and he isn't losing it.  Steph will likely get pinned and then tossed off TV for a while.  It gets her off, keeps the belt on HHH for now, and also means Jericho doesn't have to do a humiliating job.

Tommy apparently has heat with Heyman, either that, or he was playing my friend.  He talked to him in the Y, and said how he watched him in ECW.  Dreamer's response: "Yeah, Paul Heyman ruined it.  I'm going to kick his fucking ass" or something along those lines.

Shelton Benjamin is still in OVW, teaming with Redd Dog (JYD's nephew, I think).

 

The developmental guys most likely to be on the roster after the split are:

 

Lesnar (of course)

Rico Constantino (ditto)

Randy Orton

Ron Waterman

The Island Boys

Charlie Haas

Race Steele (is he still under contract?)

etc.

 

All of the ones I've listed have been doing dark matches, off and on, over the past several months.  (For instance, The Island Boys had a dark match against Charlie Haas and Saturn when I went to RAW in October.)

 

 

The Island Boys were okay and the tag division desperately needs new teams, but I'm not sure I want to see even MORE relatives of Rikishi and The Rock in the WWF.

I have a soft spot for Dreamer.  I like the guy.  I'm not saying that they should stick him main eventing RAW, but an occasional Heat match would be nice.

 

I've heard somewhere that Dreamer is only about 30.  If so, GodDAMN.  THAT is what they mean when they say the business will kill you.

THE business didn't kill him, PAUL E's business killed him.  If he wasn't doing all that crazy shit in ECW, he'd be able to work a decent match these days.  At least he isn't as bad off as Vic Grimes, who has spent time in a coma after at least one of his scaffold matches.

I don't believe Tommy would have gotten over any other way since his wrestling skills are pretty vanilla. It took Raven and Cactus Jack and their ungodly powers at being hated and doing interviews to make anyone give a shit about Dreamer. Without them, Dreamer would be remembered in the same vein as JT Southern or Mike Enos or anyone else you've forgotten about in the last few years.
