He did commentary with Joey Styles on a Taz match. Angle was useless, but did mention that a few "throws" (suplex's to you and me) that Taz did were good.

Raw was preempted for 2 weeks after Summer Slam and that was the first new episode, complete with the Raw on the Roof intro (of course it was all taped the day after Summer Slam). It competed with the Luger / Hogan Nitro in Miami.

Not only would Bret not be able to wrestle in the U.S. if he couldn't beat HBK in 10 minutes, but each member of the Hart Foundation would be handcuffed to a ringpost for the duration of the match.
