I'm so sick of seeing the same tired bullshit. Angle gets injured and you people act like flags should fly at halfstaff across the nation and we should have moments of silence. RVD loses and you guys expect street riots to ensue. Albert comes on your TV and you act like someone just sodomized a little girl on your TV screen. I'm sick of this neverending cocksuck for the likes of Jericho, RVD, Angle, and others. Alot of the people you guys like have faults too and most of you choose not to point them out but laboriously and tediously pick out every minute fault of the Big Show. Well....duh. Why would I, as a fan of Benoit, want to go over Benoit's faults? I'm not trying to say that he's perfect, but I enjoy watching him in the ring. So why is it worth my time to point out his faults? When I say "I like Benoit", I back it up with Benoit's good points (Workrate, sheer intensity, just the way he carries himself in the ring). It would make NO sense for me to say "I like Benoit, but he has poor mic skills."

 

If someone else would like to point that out to me, fine. I won't argue the point, but why on earth would I want to bring up something that goes AGAINST my position in the argument? It'd be like if you were for abortion, and then you suddenly pointed out that unborn babies do not deserve to die. It's just not the way a debate works. It's common sense.

 

The same applies in the opposite direction. I do not like watching 3MW, so I'm not going to sit around and point out their pluses. I'll pick out their faults, because that backs up my argument, IE, 3MW sucks.

 

Here, lemme do it this way:

 

I have to side with Banky and say that Steiner is still worth something as long as he's around.

 

I don't. I don't like Steiner because he's a poor wrestler (In that match with HHH he used about 3 different moves, and fucked one of them up) his promos seem nonsensical at times (Which bothers the piss out of me, because I always used to hear about how great they were) and his finisher is a fucking REAR CHINLOCK.

 

You see, I'm defending my case, that being, Steiner sucks. Would it make ANY sense for me to bring up Steiner's pluses? No. End of story.

 

I don't know if some of you don't get it or what but some of the shit you guys ask for just won't happen and you don't stop pissing yourselves over it.

 

So, what you're saying is, no one should ever be allowed to hope for anything unless they know for a fact that it WILL happen. Right.

 

(For the record, I didn't do this in an effort to make this a Steiner bashing thread or anything like that. I just happened to think that someone needed to explain this to Game. That's all.)

OK then I guess some of you misunderstood what I said. I was talking more along the lines of if someone points out a fault in a favorite he gets jumped mercilessly and is basically told he's wrong. I was more or less saying some of you think the wrestlers you like are perfect and lash out if someone points out a fault.

 

And what I was saying wasn't that if you know it won't happen then don't wish for it but I've heard some ludicrous things asked for on here. I'm trying to say "be realistic". The cruiserweights are not going to get any more exposure or TV time other than they do now. Vince McMahon will not wake up one morning and say "OMG HOSSES SUCK" and fire everyone who's big. If this "anti-smark" sentiment (which this isn't, it's more of a sick of the one-sided sentiment) is redundant, I'd say that the anti-hoss sentiment is also very redundant.

In all honesty, we don't really know anything that happens backstage unless it's proven or shown. Just because it's in the torch doesn't mean it's true. Ever thought the torch might just be assumptive? It's possible for someone who's been following something for a long time to make a reasonable prediction that'll usually come true.

 

And sure it's ok to be marks and cheer for who you like but don't pretend you wanna be or are above them. Marks cheer the faces and jeer the heels, you guys cheer those who can work a technical match and employ psychology and jeer those who plod around the ring and use power moves. It's totally different.
