rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2003 Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The first match was Rodney Mack over Spike Dudley. A good amount of heel heat for Teddy Long (who I believe has found his calling in being a manager). The second match was Trish Stratus (coming out to a good pop) defending her title successfully against Ivory. It was a really good match. A "We want puppies" chant was actually quelled by the in-ring action. After the match Victoria did a run-in (to beat down Trish), but got sent packing by both Trish and Ivory. We were then asked to show our signs, and make lots of noise for a brief RAW plug. The third and final Heat match was Christian over Tommy Dreamer with the unprettier. from 1 wrestling

Just wonderin'. And why the hell does Christian get forced to heat, but crap fests like Steiner vs Nowinski and tag three way get on Raw?
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted April 1, 2003 Any reports whether Lita was still on commentary? I think she's due to start increasing her training and getting back into shape.
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 1, 2003 She came out for commentary. I'm assuming she still is.
Guest notJames Report post Posted April 1, 2003 …why the hell does Christian get forced to heat, but crap fests like … [the] tag three way get on Raw? You would shunt a title bout to Heat for a low-card match with no history? Turn in your smark card and Kool-Aid coupon on your way out.
Guest Brian Report post Posted April 1, 2003 Steiner's being paid a lot of money.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2003 The Tag Match was the best match on Raw, I'd take it over Christian-sama vs. Dreamer unless they both went all-out.... but how did Maven vs. Rosey and Steiner vs. Nowinski-sama get on Raw?
Yuna_Firerose 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2003 ...........What does the -sama mean? Oh, and Maven vs Rosey. That's another crap match I meant to mention, but thankfully, I forgot all about it.
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2003 -sama is a Japanese subtext that implies great respect. I'm gonna use it for all my favorites (Christian-sama, Hurricane-sama, Nowinski-sama, Funaki-sama, etc.).
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted April 1, 2003 With all these guys being misused on Raw, it wouldn't be so bad if they put some guys like Kane and Steiner on Heat once in a while. I mean guys like Matt Hardy, Edge and Rey Mysterio have all been on Velocity.

Okay, I get -sama, but what about -san, -chan, etc?
Mecha Mummy 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2003 I may start using "-chan" for women I like, but I'm saving the subtexts for people I really like. "Steiner-san"? Sounds right, but that would mean I respect Scott Steiner. Boo.
