" your ? was answered but im glad youve read them Ellis is THE MAN Glamorama comes out in 2004 now Ellis just needs to get a new book out the guy who plays Paul (Ian something) does a great job as the character as well the one and only thing i dont liek about the movie is the drug dealer sub plot ..during some scenes it just seems a little forced..but thats a very minor complaint and its not like it ruins it..they just seem a tad out of place "deal with it..rock and roll" Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Guest godthedog Report post Posted April 4, 2003 'it's a wonderful life', for purely personal reasons. cheesiest movie ever, but i truly do not give a shit. i cry and cry every time i see it. once in a great while, a movie will have a scene that clicks like nothing else & give me chills; 'it's a wonderful life' has four or five of those scenes in it. especially the ending, it just overwhelms me. i worshipped jimmy stewart as a kid, and the theme running through the movie of being trapped in a shitty town by factors beyond your control was something i could always relate to in a very personal way because it's always scared me so much. the whole movie's got a great beauty in its simplicity that i've always wanted to imitate. Pacino deserved an Oscar sure, but not the same year that Washington portrayed Malcolm X. O'Donnell, though? Um...NO. I don't see where the story is all that special, either. Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Pretty funny that Hanks won it for Gump either way. My favourite movie is, was, and always has been Shawshank Redemption. I can watch this movie time and time again, without being as moved every time. I can't really explain my love for it I guess, but it just seems like a perfect movie to me all the way around. I should point that I haven't seen as much cinema as I would have liked to, so that might change soon enough. Some movies, while not my favourite, that still hold that kind of power to me personally are American History X, Glory, and Malcolm X. Seriously, Srping Training and Opening Day are two of the funniest scenes in a movie I've seen. Plus, how can you go wrong with Bob Eucker? "Post game show brought to you by . . .
