Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted May 22, 2003 I wish I lived in Canada. I'd sell my car to go to Game 7.
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted May 22, 2003 I wish I lived in Canada. I'd sell my car to go to Game 7. I'm not sure I want to go. I mean, really, only 2 things can happen, both bad: 1. Senators lose, and I leave pissed. 2. Senators win, and I can't afford tickets to the Stanley Cup final.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted May 22, 2003 Even so, you can still say either: - I was there when Ottawa was 1 win away from the Cup Finals. or - I was there when Ottawa went to the Cup Finals.

Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 22, 2003 I'm seriously thinking of trying to get tickets to the finals if the Sens make it that far. I don't know who I'd cheer for, though.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted May 22, 2003 I tried to win tickets to a Tampa Bay game, but I was the 8th caller. I needed to be the 9th caller. Bastards.

Guest Slingshot Suplex Report post Posted May 22, 2003 Rooting for the Sens....... to get beaten by the Ducks in the finals...... but ,hey,I'll take an Ottawa win too........ it's all good.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 22, 2003 Tickets are sold out in Anaheim. People in Anaheim love to jump on the bandwagon. Looking ahead I think Anaheim with rest has the advantage, but the New Jersey/Ottawa winner has momentum going into Game 1, and Anaheim will be rusty, but the New Jersey/Ottawa winner be exhausted. Guest treble charged Report post Posted May 22, 2003 On one hand, I want the Sens to win, since it would be cool and all. On the other hand, my dad will never let me hear the end of it if Ottawa wins. I'm torn.

Actually, they've been supportive of the team throughout, Vern.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted May 22, 2003 Anaheim will be rusty Wasn't the same thing said about Colorado? And where exactly are they? Uh, huh. That's right. In the off season. The Ducks have been in their element given time off to rust or not.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted May 22, 2003 Actually, they've been supportive of the team throughout, Vern. Throughtout what? The season, or the playoffs? If it's the season (near sellouts every game) than I take what I said back. If they only gained interest in the playoffs than it's the playoff bandwagon. LK: The Anaheim is rusty was a knock on the experts. They'll either say Anaheim is rested if they win, but if they lose they where rusty. The East conference winner will either win because of momentum, but if they lose they're exhausted. They try to cover every scenario.
Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted May 22, 2003 I see Broedeur standing on his head and winning the game for the Devils (my guess: 2-1). If NJ wins, I'm rooting for the Ducks in the Cup. (I hate the boring ass game that NJ plays, and Oates was run out of Boston for daring to speak the truth about their shitty owner and shitty management. People that badmouth Jacobs and Sinden are my friends). Actual prediction: Devils in 5, sadly. If Ottawa wins, I'm rooting for the Sens. (even though I've spent most of the season rooting against the Senators, there's no way I can justify rooting for a team named like a Disney movie over a team from Canada.) Actual prediction: Sens in 6.

The fans have supported them since they were brought into the league, IIRC.
