I don't care what the situation is. Both Goldberg and Jericho should be profesional enough backstage to not let shit like this happen. I don't care if Goldberg started it, or if Jericho started it, this should not be excusable for anyone to do. Not for Goldberg, not for Jericho, not for Bishoff, and not even for Flair.

Wasn't a month or two ago 1bob reported a fight between Flair and Bischoff backstage? Nothing ever came of it and at this point this is such a non-story beyond people creaming their pants at the chance of Jericho kicking Goldberg'ass.

 

If Goldberg had come at Jericho with a pair of scissors or a squeege THEN you'd have a story.

Wow. Just, wow. This is the first time I've ever heard of Jericho being involved in something like this. Though we weren't there, knowing what we know about the parties involved and their respective situations, it is quite easily inferred that even if we did know everything about what happened, the vast majority of us would side with Jericho anyway. (and rightfully so)

 

Is this the sign of a new Chris Jericho? (perhaps he's taking a page out of born again Christian's book ) Jericho is one of the truly nicest guys in the wrestling industry; this just isn't his style. For him to get into something like this...damn. He must be really, really bitter about WCW. We can all see how odd that is, given the crap he's been through since without saying a peep and still busting his ass every night. What happened to him in WCW must have been unprofessional beyond belief.

 

In truth, I don't think anything will come of this--unless, as people mentioned, HHH takes Jericho's side and starts politicking on his behalf. Which I can most definitely see happening. Funny thing...people have been making jokes for years about Jericho joining the Kliq, but if HHH stands up for him here, that may actually end up happening. Probably not though. In all likelihood, Vince'll tell them to make peace and noone will bring it up ever again.

If you ask me, I think Goldberg was right in WCW. Jericho was booked as a Cruiserweight for almost his entire WCW stint. It wouldn't be believable to have him compete against Goldberg whom was 178-0.

I'd like to see the WWE reprimand Jericho for this, it would set a terrible precedent in the company.
