Oh yes, that seems to be the answer to any person with no friends, ie me. Whenever I hear that, I reply "And do what?" To which I usually get a blank look. Within walking distance, we have a Rite Aid, a Family Video, a Pet Store, and a Dollar Store. No fun to walk to those with no money.

 

Or, you get the "Well, talk to people" bullshit. Hey, why should I talk to someone? They wanna talk to me, they know where I am. Besides, friends are just annoying. I'd rather stick to my online roleplay buddies.

In all seriousness, anyone can have friends. Even if you're a loser (like you and Yuna probably are), you could still find loser friends to hang out with. You can find these people from the most unusual places anyway, it just doesn't stem from school, work, etc.

That's what I meant by my "new low" comment. I mean, it's bad enough that people ask a bunch of strangers who know shit about them for advice on what they're doing wrong regarding relationships, but than to go even lower and say you can't find a friend? I don't care who the fuck you are, ANYONE can find a friend, you're just not looking hard enough, and believe me, contrary to what you may believe, we all need friends. Human interaction, if you will....

My thoughts exactly. I used to have friends, three actually. One was a so annoyingly whiny that it was a pain to be around her. The other is obsessed with DBZ, just like I'm obsessed with wrestling....and neither likes the other's obsession. So, that nixed any conversation we possibly could have. Plus, her parents are homophobic assholes, not to mention religious, which I simply can't stand. The third....well, I still talk to her, since she's in my Journalistic class.

Are you in college? If you start a club, they give you $$$ for activities. At least they did at my old school (I'm to busy to find out how clubs work in my current one), so I assume that they do it everywhere. So start a wrestling club or some other kind of club that you're interested in and use the cash to throw a party (this is what I did)...I'm sure you can find a friend that way.

I don't really have many friends right now, but that's because I just moved to Miami after living 14 years comfortably in Los Angeles. I don't have school because I have a lot of debt to pay off so I start in fall, besides I also moved here in the middle of the semester.

 

Friends are cool and all to have, but in recent years, my want/need for a social life has done me more harm than good. So it's nice to "start all over" nowadays in that regard.

Also, if you don't have friends, you should turn off the fucking computer and go meet people. You can't do it overnight, but just start, you know, actually doing things, and you will naturally develop acquaintances. This is about as not-hard as they come.
